Album Summary
Jasmine.4.T is the stage name of British indie rock singer-songwriter Jasmine Cruickshank, who plays as part of a four-piece based in Manchester, England and is currently signed to Saddest Factory Records. Jasmine is the first British musician to be signed to the label. After having opened for Lucy Dacus on tour, Jasmine decided to submit some demos to Lucy's Boygenius bandmate Phoebe Bridgers' record label, Saddest Factory Records. After signing to the label, being the first UK artist to do so, she released a new single titled "Skin On Skin", a song about her falling in love with a trans person for the first time, featuring Julien Baker and produced by Boygenius.
Reviews
i'm not sure what demon possessed them to include this instead of something less obscure and more mediocre in the latest book but I'm glad they did
Didn't realize someone could make a whole album of singing thru their nasal passages... Yet they did... They shouldn't have but they did. 40ish minutes of that. It never changed.
Not what I expected, from the cover.
It was pleasant but not something id pick up again.

Surprisingly good
Rubbish
Think this is the most modern but it’s far from a classic.
I'll share my jasmine.4.1 Green Man story some time.
I grew into this album. An interesting voice. Wouldn’t necessarily have been the album I would have chosen from 2025, but not bad
Fairly standard indie fare, but with a few twists that make it quite interesting - especially as it's the first time I've heard it. Enjoyed the variety from folk influence to almost anthemic rock. Not ready to give it a 4 though. So that'll be 3*.
Hm. I liked it that the very AI-looking album cover didn't give a hint to the singer-songwriter style of this album. But I didn't really find Jasmine Cruikchank's voice very appealing, or really the accompanying music, so this didn't really do it for me, and felt like a really random selection to include as an album to hear before you die. The only tracks that kind of grabbed me were "Breaking in reverse: and the great-named "Guy Fawkes Tesco disassociation", and even those ultimately felt like a bit of a buzzkill despite their energy. But I give props to the project editors for finding an album in 2025 to include in the collection, even if it's not really to my taste.
A few stand out songs with opportunities for her to show off her lovely voice
Very soothing, bit sad. I liked the tesco song aha
