1001 Albums Summary

I liked it...but went down a rabbit hole and prefer 'Masekela Introducing Hedzoleh Soundz'

Not my bag, Hey Hey carried the album for me

Probably biased because Black alone might warrant a 5 star review, incredible debut album.

Okay, just not my cup of tea

Not sure how well it held up over the years, but it still has some good songs for me and impressive for a debut album. When it came out, I feel like the first half of the album was probably played non-stop...but I think I prefer the second half of the album these days.

‘Where is my mind’ really carried the album. Much bigger fan of the Doolittle album

Not my cup of tea, at all. The guitars were grating most of the time and I'm not sure there was a single song I enjoyed on the album.

Highlights for me were: Fell on Black Days, Black Hole Sun, The day I tried to live

It was okay...the only songs I really enjoyed were 'Feelin' All Right' and '40,000 Headman' the rest seemed very vanilla, even considering the 1968 context.

Not my cup of tea. Maybe at a different time in life, but not a big fan of it on my first listen.
