1001 Albums Summary

favorited 6/12 tracks: Subterranean Homesick Alien, Exit Music (For a Film), Let Down, No Surprises, Lucky, and the Tourist. super vibey, beautiful and artful as a cohesive piece. dudes got a beautiful voice. i wouldnt listen to the tracks i didnt "heart" on their own, not my thing for everyday listening but i thought it was lovely all the same. nice, beautiful album 6.5/10

genius and gorgeous. a painting of an album

the songs that are good on this album are So Great. but then the songs that arent so great are either Really Truly Bad or just like vibey instrumentals. George was Really Pondering Death. Gave me a bit of existential dread. 3/5

wow

absolutely incredible. i teared up. at first i was like "i love duke ellington, i wonder why they chose to highlight this specific live recording," but now i totally get it. the energy and vibrance of both the crowd and the musicians is a perfect encapsulation of why music is special. i loved hearing ellingtons little adlibs and encouragements and i loved hearing how excited the audience got. that saxophone is the closest thing to God 100000/10

not so good.

not for me
