Dookie by Green Day
Oct 14 2026

Nostalgic album. Reminds me of middle school taking electric bass lessons from Charlie (forgot his last name). My first intro to Green Day was American Idiot, but there are some tracks here that are equally as classic to me on the nostalgia score After reading a little bit on Wiki about the album, I feel they best summarized it as the in between of Grunge and Melodic pop punk, which would later make huge waves throughout the 2000s Yuka and I still sing Basket Case at karaoke sometimes too lol. The influence is global Notable tracks: Longview, Welcome to Paradise, Basket Case

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Oct 15 2026

First time listening through a Rolling Stones album in its entirety. “Is this band from the UK? This is the most American thing I’ve heard” was what I was thinking throughout the listen The range in the songs is really good. Some fast, some slow, some loud, some quiet. The sax track was awesome. This would hit at a bbq lol. I like that I can picture something in my head when I listen to this. Also interesting note that the album cover was created by Andy Warhol & Co. Although at this point I’m debating whether or not to allow myself to read the wiki of the album .. it’s biasing myself a little especially once I read the critical reception section Notable tracks: wild horses, can’t you hear me knocking, dead flowers, moonlight mile

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Oct 16 2026

Another nostalgia bomb. Brings me back to middle school. Wondering if I need to adjust my rankings based on nostalgia.. it’s just not fair Notable tracks : Mr brightside All these things that I’ve done Somebody told me

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Oct 17 2026

Another middle school classic lol. Why are most of the first albums from the 2000s? Anyways listening to this reminded me of Daniel Contaldo a lot. The pop punk / alternative sound dominated the 2000s. Unfortunately aside from the big singles it wasn’t really hitting for me Notable tracks : take me out

Boston by Boston
Oct 18 2026

Great album listen. Like a rock opera. Range of tracks is great Lots of rock on this list .. Notable tracks : more than a feeling , foreplay/long time

Rapture by Anita Baker
Oct 19 2026

Instant 5 lol. I already own two copies of this album on vinyl Cult classic sample source for some DOOM tracks Notable tracks: Sweet love Caught up in the rapture of love

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Oct 20 2026

Sick cover art There weren’t any big singles that I’ve heard before but overall was a good listen If you think about this in context of the time period, Hendrix popularization of the use of guitar effects (distortion, panning, etc) gives the album a fun spin Notable tracks: if 6 was 9, One Rainy Wish
