I know people raved about this then and I think some called it album of the year, but I never understood it. I really loved his debut with his beautiful voice. On this album is full of vocoder and autotune. Such a waste.

Bon Iver is definitely an acquired taste, and apparently it is something I haven't acquired.

Ouff. Totally unfamilar with the music of Bon Iver before this. There were zero Bon Iver records on the original, and now this is the third I have gotten on the user list through 209 entries. After listening to these three records it's truly bonkers to me that people hold this in such esteem. I was not expecting to like this much based on the other two records, but was utterly shocked at how heavy handed the auto-tune was immediately. I had to go back and re-read the notes I made on the previous albums because I don't remember it being so bad. This was a huge struggle to get through, such an artifact from a specific time that has not aged well. It was extremely grating. I really really hope more of this dude's albums are not on this list.

I know we’re supposed to be “impartial” and “have an open mind” when reviewing these records, but I cannot stand this man’s music. It’s just so over-processed and devoid of any meaningful energy to my ears.

I just want to listen to albums that don't give me a migraine on the first track is that so much to ask

strange autotune and aural distortion make this unlistenable for me.

I have never heard of this group before and was excited to check them out. However from the beginning of that awful auto tune voice began I was pretty annoyed. It made me not want to give a shit about whatever was being sung about. This was pretty disappointing. Sorry just not for me.

Don’t get it.

So boring. Never heard anything I liked by this artist. This would've been a two but the autotune stuff was just dreadful.

Let's take shitty indie music and add auto tune. It was still awful. Songs were skipped.
