Most overrated album of all time
Chris Cornell is one of the greatest rock singers ever. This album has some of the best riffs of all time (Spoonman, Fell on Black Days). It's filled with metaphors about loneliness and depression (Black Hole Sun, Day I Tried to Live, Like Suicide). The album is filled with great, memorable choruses that have the staying power and melody of pop, without sacrificing the heaviness of the subject matter and genre of grunge. In my opinion, it's a top 4 grunge album with Nevermind, Dirt, and Ten.
One of my favorites from the first time I heard it. Beautiful lyricism, and no tracks I would throw out.
Definitely funky. Very sexy. But songs were long and monotonous
One of my favorite rap albums of all time. Bangers from start to finish.
Beautiful instrumentation. Melodic, but dreamy and wandering. Very raw. Great flow and consistent concept. However, Morrison's screams of anguish become repetitive and songs lack some needed focus or change-up.
This album really surprised me. Maybe better than Pet Sounds. It's got a variety of sounds and themes, but they somehow all flow. Not repetitive. Quick and to the point. Definitely heavier than Pet Sounds and early Beach Boys.

So boring, so drab. You'd have to force me to listen to it again.
Pretty good punk, but no real variety or depth
One of my favorites from the first time I heard it. Beautiful lyricism, and no tracks I would throw out.
Shoegaze music just isn't my thing, what can I say. Very droning, very little melody, so much distortion that I can't appreciate what I think could be some good guitar riffs and drum fills. Not a fan of the singer either.
Prog rock not my favorite. Very arty and avant garde. I think it could grow on me though.
Surprisingly really good
Master of Puppets is one of my favorite metal songs of all time. There are moments when the album takes a more melodic, quiet approach which I really love. It's great if you're in the right mindset, but can be exhausting listening all the way through. I think Metallica is as heavy as I can take in terms of metal.
Just more bad country music. Couldn't get me to stick around to figure out the Opera part
Not bad. Lots of mixing of punk, shoegaze, alt rock. I enjoyed the variety
Wish I could give 3.5 stars. Totally eclectic and weird, but in a good way. Very listenable, merging elements of funk, rock, and psychedelia.
Elevator music (Muzak). Really not a great album in anyway in my opinion.
Love the vocals. Really good new wave music. Lots of classic songs.
Pretty good indie music. Good job of mixing EDM, Rock, and Pop. Some songs I really liked: Dragon Queen and Dull Life
The Byrds are like Crosby, Stills, and Nash before CSN. Their harmonies are great. The sound is so 60s, in a good way. I'm probably partial because this album is right up my alley, so it gets 4 stars. I could understand it receiving 3 stars from others because there are just so many other great albums from this era that sound similar and are a bit more inspired.
Pretty good, very interesting lyrics. Kind of a comedian/crooner combo
Most overrated album of all time
Very funky
One of my favorite rap albums of all time. Bangers from start to finish.
Nice, quirky little album. Cool that the guys are from Liverpool
I liked this album, especially the song 'M'. I could hear how they influenced a lot of other future bands and artists - specifically Nirvana and Kanye West came to mind
Love me some good reggae music. Makes you feel like you're relaxing on a beach
Very good jazz album, and impressive for being live. I have heard better jazz though.
Will probably grow on me, but 3.5 stars for now
Great jazz album, very soothing. Didn't blow my mind
Really funky, my favorite talking heads album I’ve heard
Really enjoyed parts of this album. Very modern, with a mix of electronic and alt rock
Pretty good joni album, but didn’t like all the songs
I love Jazz Samba, the Brazillian feel is conducive to relaxing, reading, cooking, dancing, anything that puts you in a good headspace.
Loved how eclectic it was, lots of different genres being fused together
Definitely funky. Very sexy. But songs were long and monotonous
I generally love Paul Simon, but found this album a bit of a downer and very soft. Would've liked more upbeat and poppy songs
Pretty good album, some great guitar parts
Bit depressing, but very hypnotic
Really a 3.5, but I really like the riffs and the female singer. Some great hooks too. Would be great to see live
I've never really understood the huge appeal of The Smiths. I guess its too wordy for me, and the melodies and instrumentation are boring.
Not my thing
Good album. A little reminiscent of Coldplay or Radiohead - which is not a positive. But some good songs and great instrumentation.
Pretty awesome album. Punk rock done right, and great singer.
Loved it. Incredibly raw, and the setting catches the moment, artist, and songs so well.
Very 90s. Actually really enjoyed it. A few great songs and love the singer.
Very 80s pop. Everybody Wants to Rule the World is a great song. Lots of filler. Very distinctive voices.
Solid, can definitely tell its a bowie production. Would give 3.5 stars. Only downside is that it gets rather stale mid-way through, lacking a change of pace song or a really catchy chorus.
One of the greatest albums of all time. Just perfect.
Very good. Great harmonies. Not eternally memorable.
Very psychedelic and 60s-esque. Clearly heavily influenced by Pet Sounds and the Beatles - but not quite as good! Reminds me of Tommy a little bit in that there is clearly a story, but the music all sort of blends together for me.
Not bad, not amazing. Lou Reed reminds me a little of David Bowie. This album was sadder than I expected.
The quintessential punk album, but always thought it was nothing special.
Didn't like at all
One of the greatest live albums of all time. Slightly behind Johnny Cash Live at Fulsom Prison.
Beautiful voice, but not quite my thing. Maybe if I was sitting in a lounge in Paris.
Really enjoyed this, very much an indie, garage sound.
Daft Punk, Electronic, 90s EDM has never been my thing. Obviously some people like it. It's a total snooze for me.
Good country album. Classic Hank Williams-style, with a modern twist. No memorable songs, they all mesh into one for me.
Wow! Great album. Every song could be a hit! Production is fantastic and the album really flows well. Gotta start listening to more Todd Rundgren I guess
Not super memorable
