The end of the world is one of my favourite REM tracks, but the rest is just average REM
Love this album. Has always been near my CD player for the last 25+ years
Enjoyable 70s rock guitar, but the strongest songs are all on the original Greatest Hits album
Never heard this before. Enjoyable late 60s vibe with a couple of gems
Never come across this and preferred it to Pet Sounds, but still nothing special
Started strongly but tailed off. Loved the energy of the first track
A bit of undemanding nostalgia. Pleasant enough but can understand I haven’t listened to it in 15 years
Thoroughly joyous mid 90s nostalgia. Packed with great songs
Too long. Far too much filler, not sure how it got nominated for six Grammys
Enjoyable listen. This music was far too cool for me in 1989…
My favourite Stones album, from when they were great
Possibly his best album. Nostalgic
Not their strongest album, but still contains some gems
Transported back nearly 30 years by the distinctive sound
A new one on me. As punk goes not bad
If I want to listen to a bit of country this is what I’d choose
No words needed, although the 39 track version I have is perhaps excessive
Surprisingly good, considering some of the work they went on to make only a few years later
Never heard of this, but enjoyed it
Classic US punk. Highly enjoyable
Not the best live album I’ve heard, but enjoyable enough
F**k yeah! Jesus built my hot rod, ding a ling ling!
Makes me feel like a teenager again
Pure class, demonstrating Cobain’s skill, and an album I could leave on repeat for quite a while. The cover versions are a joy
Not a Beatles album I would ever choose to play
Great album, one that I don’t listen to enough
Interesting enough as background music, but not something I’d choose to listen to
A decent album to work to, but can’t imagine when else I’d put it on
I listened to this so much on first release. Don’t think I’ve heard it for 10 years
Very pleasant. Never heard the whole album
Outstanding. No idea why I’ve never heard this before
I get excited when there’s an album I’ve never heard of and wanted to like this more than I actually did
At times great to work to, then it’d start talking to me.
Great fun. Would have loved to see this live
Fine enough when you’re watching a western, but not something I’d choose to put on
Unexpected surprise. Couldn’t understand a word but really enjoyed the rhythm
Another new one on me. Good in places
Thoroughly enjoyable. The female vocal is better than the male
Heard this a lot as a kid at home. Happy trip down memory lane
A bit of fun. Not something I’d ever think to put on
Equal parts cheesy and brilliant
Hit and miss. Loved the track ‘maggot brain’
Enjoyable background music
Tolerable Genesis, before they went downhill further
Classic that instantly takes me back to being a student
Okay. A bit annoying at times, like a less-good White Stripes
Really enjoyed it, for a change of pace
The kind of hip hop I don’t like
Enjoyable, but not memorable
Not bad, which is a complement from a Bowie non-fan
Perfect early morning background music
Love this album. They’re not the greatest songs, but it exemplifies a time and place in guitar music
So much more interesting than the shite that’s popular these days
I’m not a U2 fan, but some of this was pretty good
I enjoy his storytelling. The songs don’t really fit in a playlist but stand on their own as an album
Never been a big fan of this album, or the Manics in general
Some gems on this album. Enjoyed it
Pure nostalgic joy listening to this.
A classic worthy of the moniker. Witty, catchy tunes
Enjoyable enough, but I wouldn’t pick it to put on
Not a big Zep fan. II was better
It screamed early 80s at me but was enjoyable
Quite successful as second albums go… I wouldn’t choose to put it on, but she doesn’t arf belt out a tune
A Classic. Still listen to this regularly
Too long and same-y. Enjoyed a few early tracks but got bored with it
Pretty good. Had never heard anything by him before and it was enjoyable enough
Bought it back in the day. Cringe a bit listening to it now
