Garbage. Didn’t like this. Was never a fan of Blur and Damon Albarn’s voice just grates on me. Nil point. (Said in a French accent France 🇫🇷)
Don’t believe the hype. Disappointed. Heard this was a modern classic, a piece of genius that has influence so many. Pretty average and garbage in places. Won’t be listening again. An embarrassment to hip hop
Ok. Always thought Pulp were overrated TBH, which is a bit controversial when you live in Sheffield but they only had a couple of good tracks really. The rest got on my nerves a bit. Average.
Some classic tunes, Great to revisit and remember when I saw Tina live but not one I’d play regularly
Takes me back to those moody days as a teenager. Perfect goth shoe gazing classic
Remember this from my teenage years. Proper moody show gaze
Love Talking Heads, some decent listening on here with a couple of classics
Pretty good! I was surprised! Remember these from being a kid but never really knew much of the their music but I enjoyed it. Like a cross between Duran Duran, Depeche Mode and the Cure
Brilliant! Really like this! Don’t know how. Haven’t heard it before. I’ll get it on vinyl
This is one of those albums that you have to be in the mood to listen too. Like on a comedown or when you’re feeling low. Today wasn’t one of those days so whilst it’s a great album, it’s only 3 stars today
Mixed bag. Some great choons like Freak Scene but some average ones. This album could be better with a few more good songs
Wow! A pure, solid punch of hip hop! Gangsta at its best, only play this to your granny if she’s hard of hearing as the expletives roll out every few seconds. Classic!
Don’t believe the hype. Disappointed. Heard this was a modern classic, a piece of genius that has influence so many. Pretty average and garbage in places. Won’t be listening again. An embarrassment to hip hop
Good album with some big 80s choons. Plenty of memories here with some great sing a long songs
Fantastic! One of those albums I’ve wanted to listen to for years but never got round to. Loved it! Fun, quirky and uniquely. A classic
Brilliant! An album that takes you on a bluesy, psychedelic journey of riffs and distortion. Some Classic choons and some of Hendrix’s biggest and best known. Sadly didn’t have to time listen to all of it so a second run is welcome
Decent album. Some great choons but all gets a bit samey, bit dates, heard it so many times. Not one I’d keep going back to
Garbage. Didn’t like this. Was never a fan of Blur and Damon Albarn’s voice just grates on me. Nil point. (Said in a French accent France 🇫🇷)
Loved this! I knew of Goldfrapp but never really took much notice. Great vocals, lovely, airy music and fine melodies. Definitely worth more listening time!
It was ok. Never heard of this band before. Average 90s indie rock
Nah… Dreadful. Dexys reminds me of cheesy djs at family doos and weddings in the ‘80s. Not for me
Clasicc Smiths. Their sound is unique and with Morrissey’s lyrics and Marr’s jangling guitars it a perfect combination. One of Manchester’s finest
Love this! It’s a must listen to, chilled out, sits there and makes you feel good type
A really nice album, great for a late listen with a couple of beers. Some amazing songs and topped off with that sublime oboe solo on Walk in the Wild Side
Wow! What can I say?! It’s Ray Charles! Music doesn’t get any better than this! An absolute gem!
Yeah, it was ok. Some banging choons individually to be fair but as an album I thought it was all a bit samey. Not one I’d be reaching for too regularly but would give the odd song a listen.
This was ok, some good some I sorted of forgot I was listening to anything as I’d lost interest in. Not a classic for me
Classic 80s pop! Some brilliant choons, reminds a of my big brother and people who I’ve come to know living in my adopted city of Sheffield. Great bass lines, quality synth and some really sublime vocals from Martin Fry. Excellent.
Great blues my album. Some songs a bit timid and not up to the the level of the classics but on the whole an ok album
Really enjoyed this. Sublime, dreamy and trippy electronica that sometimes made me feel I was watching some sort of sci fi film. Must try more of their music
Hmmmm… Quite liked the choons and musical arrangements, some great solos and well put together but I felt like he was constantly singing using auto-choon which spoiled it for me. Like a male version of Cher
Not really enjoying this. Disappointed. Thought it would be a blinder, but average at best. Lou Reed sounds bored mist of the time. Some half decent choons but generally pretty dull and body
It’s Dolly. She’ll never fail you but you also have to be in the right mood to listen to her
Awesome! Pure cool choons, funky beats and neat riffs. Love it!
Really nice album. Sort of folky / country vibe with beautiful vocals
Ok. Always thought Pulp were overrated TBH, which is a bit controversial when you live in Sheffield but they only had a couple of good tracks really. The rest got on my nerves a bit. Average.
