Garage rock gold, not exactly my cup of tea. Nice hooks, great drumming, what more could one ask for?
Definitely noise pop, definitely ok.
I find that the songs run the risk of same-iness, but is also has perfect places, so... you know, it's not all bad.
If you enjoy pop punk, this is a classic slice of fried gold. If you're me, the hits are nice enough and everything else is over quick.
I enjoyed the stripped down sound of the album. Not a big stones fan, so I found it to drag on a bit.
I sincerely wish I could play guitar as well as Ali. A fantastic album and introduction to African blues/guitar. The layering of instruments is enchanting, and everything from melody to accompaniment feels absolutely fresh and interesting.
I feel like I'm too stupid to understand or appreciate this album hahaha
Atmospheric. Definitely an album that'll get better the more listens you give it.
It's not my cup of tea, dig the funkiness of it, but that's pretty much it.
Definitely a 90's Electronica album. I enjoyed the atmosphere it built, but found that the songs usually blended together into white noise after a bit.
Listen. It has the biggest hits, and my personal fav, "Country Honk". I may not be a Stones fan, I'm also not an idiot.
Better than I thought, not as good as people claim.
The production is great. I find myself surprised due to TRHCP actually have varied songs. TIL
After all these years, the tones on that album sound super fresh, a fun album from start to finish!
I'm pretty sure if you hang out at hot topic, are making a sexy vampire thriller, or LARP, this album is for you. otherwise, it's kind of eh
I'd rather chew on aluminum foil than listen to morrissey.
The thing about Prog rock is that while the musicianship is quite amazing, it too often requires one to put up with over indulgence. This is pretty self indulgent.
All(most) all the hits are here! well produced, and tight musicianship made this a surprising delight to listen to.
Noise/garage rock the brings up tastes of Black Flag and Iggy. Hooky, noise and all around enjoyable.
Synthy and wavey goodness, though I find the album to not be all that engaging.
This album is timeless, and shows the absolute staying power the Temptations have in the American canon. absolutely stunning.
Passionate yet austere. Fantastically arranged and while it can sometimes fall into the same-iness factor that edm/electronica is prone too, each track has a firm separate identity.
As much as I've enjoyed the "hits" of Madonna, never did I think I'd enjoy a whole album. TIL.
I can't fathom putting out something as powerful ,and beautiful before I died. Truly a testament to his mastery of song.
To me, the melody and hooks of many of the songs tend to be hidden by an excessive amount of effects. Generally, this type of music and arrangement is right up my alley, and listening to this album I more often than not found myself bored.
This soundtrack pretty much sets the bar any soundtrack after it, and after enough listens, it's understandable why so many other movie soundtracks fail to make the cut.
I wish I liked the stones more, to me it's just more of the same.
A beautiful and weird album. You obviously have the hits, and while that's often enough to carry any album, this album not only delivers on the above but makes sure every track is a fun and unique journey.
It's amazing that such an album exists. Darkly cynical, the grooves a hynpotic and yet you rarely feel at ease.
It's got some of the biggest hits, and for the most part it's pretty solid alternative prog rock.
A cynical folk album that definitely sounds like the 60's. It's alright.
It's on okay album, nothings really pulled my attention.
slice of 90's fired gold, great writing, just a solid record start to finish.
I have to give it up where credits due, this album kicks ass.
