Favourite song - Svefn g englar One for singing in the shower - Despite speaking fluent Icelandic i wouldn't sing any of these songs in the shower. One for a swim - Can't listen during a swim and couldn't stand the singing on the bamm bamm bamm track so that one. Started alright but got fed up with it.
Favourite song - Roundabout Sing in the Shower - We have heaven Swim - Five per cent for nothing Nah.
Today the queen died while surrounded by her family. So it turned out to be fitting that the album 'Bad Company' was suggested. I listened to the first track and thought they were shit. Listened to a couple more and their title track and they're underwhelming rock. So i put on Escape by Desire instead. I give it 3/5, it was decent and i'll check out their first album.
Favourite song - In the ghetto Sing in the shower - In the ghetto One for a swim - I'll hold you in my heart. Fella just isn't my cup of tea.
I'd like to hear Bobby Boucher do some vocals but he won't because MUSIC IS THE DEVIL BOBBEH. Contains an unexpected cameo from Willem Dafoe as Thomas Wake from The Lighthouse on the track The Stolen Child. Favourite song - When ye go away Sing in the shower - Fisherman's blues One for a swim - And a bang on the ear
Flicked through a couple of tracks but quickly realised this album needed more spirit, more spirit of the blues in fact... So get your coat on and get moving cos we don’t know the meaning of losing so come on, come on, get down to goodison park. wooooo
I usually do 'one to sing in the shower' but this time i'm doing 'one for the karaoke' because i would, in some dive bar, select the first track and air guitar the shit out of it on stage. Right in front of the down and outs. It would be like Napoleon dancing the skit, and that bar would erupt i tell you.
The the are are shit shit.
Found this fairly bland, probably wasn't in the right mood for it.
On a recent night out a drunkard made it clear to me that he thinks i'm a closet homosexual. He and a few other people i know really like this album, but i'm not really into it. Think the album cover is a bit dull and could be more flamboyant. Favourite song - Take it or leave it. One to sing in the shower - Last Nite Can't say there are any real stinkers.
Would prefer to give it 3.5/5. Never listened a kinks album, enjoyed it. Favourite song - Sunny Afternoon Sing in the Shower - Rainy day in June.
Think the album starts weak but gets better. Some alright tracks toward the middle. Voice was offputting at times, trying too hard for that daft manc vocal sound. Thought the back up vocals were used well. Favourite song - Loose Fit Holiday was catchy.
I imagine people have sacked this list off because this was the first album they were generated and thought if this can make it why the fuck am i going to bother with the rest. It's just such a boring album for a band that describes themselves as 'ambient punk'. If this can be labelled punk then punk is dead. Fair enough if you like this stuff, but within the 1001 albums to listen to before you die? Behave.
I would be gutted if someone made a concept album based on where i'm from and it sounded like this.
Das ist gut. Had spotify recommend Neu! to me before but this album was better than what was suggested then. Few reviews saying Leb Wohl is the best track but i thought it was the weakest. Other reviews giving it a 1 due to the first few tracks conning them into thinking it's a chill out album then Hero rocks up and fucks it hahaha. I thought Hero was decent, fuck the press - you're god damn right. That's punk right there Deerhunter you stupid bastards.
Yeah everyone sounds like they're having a quality time, can't knock it. Not into James Brown, but there is a tune he plays that's used in the When we were kings documentary and that's pretty decent.
Had a quick at look at British punk v American punk in google and saw American punk described as 'less overtly political and more just edgy in the sense of singing about sensitive, tender, or previously taboo topics.' And i think that sums up this album - just edgy. It's not that wild really. It's like when Eric Cartman meets Bart Simpson. Bart cut the head off a statue (American punk), whilst Cartman murdered a kid's parents and then ground their bodies and cooked them into a chili and fed it to the kid (British punk).
Gave up on this one after 5-6 songs. Another one i can't understand someone saying you must listen to this before you die.
Probably a 2.5. I imagine it gets better on more listens. People have said to me if you like pink floyd then you might like radiohead. Not sure about that.
Great album.
Decent album. Thought it benefited from the change of pace that Chico's Groove and One Too Many Mornings gave it. Think it's one i could listen to again when i'm doing exercise.
Can't make my mind up with this one. Some of the tracks were decent, but felt like it went through a lull after the first 2 songs. Think it will grow on me and become a lofty 4.
Great album.
A lot of shrieking. Rock lobster is good. So kitsch jah. It's shit is what it is. Like they're close to being listenable but they're just annoying.
From the b-52's to this.
Enjoyed the first track, didn't quite get me with the rest but will have a look at other albums.
Quality debut album.
Another boss debut album. Communique got criticised for being too similar which is ridiculous. 'What a great album, better not make another one with a similar sound'.
I'd probably say these were half decent if it wasn't for the lead singers voice.
Only listened to their singles and they are decent but not really into this album. Difficult to score feel a 3 is too generous.
Yeah some catchy tunes but as a whole all the songs sound pretty similar. Probably being a bit harsh.
Another questionable pick. Some ok guitar but lyrics and singing were naff.
Not heard the rolling stones other than compilation albums and thought this was alright, nothing mind blowing. Thought the final track stuck out like a sore thumb, really didn't fit with the rest and was a poor end to what had been a decent listen.
Naff.
Decent little album. Get proper Bond vibes from it at times. Reminded me of Franz Ferdinand as well and spotify tried to play Jacqueline after the album finished so it agreed.
Weird one this. I'm pretty sure they sang in gibberish for most of the album which seems ridiculous. But the general sound of the album was alright, but pretty repetitive. How did they remember the lyrics at live performances? I dunno. The amount of thought some musicians put into lyrics and these rock up sing nonsense and get into the 1001 albums to listen to before you die.
First time I've heard this and i was going to give it a 5 but it's getting a high 4 instead, 4.7 to be precise. Proper enjoyed it on the first listen but not as much on the second. Hadn't heard Gimme Shelter for a while and it sets up the rest of the album perfectly with that girl belting it out. Was expecting a mid tracklist lull but midnight rambler and you got the silver are quality. Album finishes strongly
Yeah alright nothing stand out.
Never really been interested in ccr but this was a decent album.
First time i've fully listened to this and i really enjoyed it. Prefer that live album though, cracker that one.
Some mighty fine easy listening. First track is class. Think it really helped i was listening to this in winter, feel the vibe for this stuff more in this season for some reason. Reminded me of the mafia 2 soundtrack which is quality.
Yeah doors were always just ok to me.
Never heard fascination before, quality song. Only the 2nd bowie album i've listened to other than compilations, disgrace. Fame as the final track was boss.
Kind of couldn't be arsed listening to it properly. Heard plenty of the beatles.

Thought this was a really solid raw album. Do like spoken lyrics, probably weakest track for me was Washer were there is singing but each track has decent guitar behind it.
This is getting a 5. First time listen and it makes me feel bad the other ccr album only got a 4. This is quality music. Only downside is Proud Mary reminds me of a work christmas do when i was the new team member and was forced to dance to the god awful ike and tina turner version. We were all in a circle doing this stupid hand motion and I must have been doing a brilliant job of looking like i was having fun because a woman from another table tried to dance with me and i full on blanked her. Her mates came and rescued her. It makes me cringe now. It would never have worked out, I hate dancing. So close to dropping this to a 4.
Feel like am being generous with 2. The music was ok but the harmonious singing did my head in. Didn't finish the album in the end got fed up with it.
Giving this a 1 because i can't stand their christmas song that gets played to death. Didn't even listen to album. What a bastard man i am.
Always liked this album. Proper strong start. I know what i know is so catchy.
This was weirdly alright, seemed similar to Talking Heads at times. Mud in your eyes sort of reminded me of when the world falls down from the labyrinth. Can't knock the saxomaphone on can't help myself.
Yeah alright nothing special. We we fall was different.
Stranger song is such a good track. I do like Leonard Cohen, been a while since i heard this. Knocking it down to a 4 though because it gave the animal house vibes when Belushi smashes that fellas guitar.

The man in black gets a 5.
The first song was just noise, and then after he butchered money (that's what i want) i had to sack it off. Sounded like a good time in Hamburg though, cool place.
Music didn't seem bad but wasn't a fan of the vocals.
Yeah Blur are better than Oasis. That is all.
Yeah thought this was pretty interesting and different. Was tempted to give it a 4. Never heard of them before and will look into them. People complaining about the screaming but if you think cold turkey by john lennon is a great song then explain the difference. I get screaming can be offputting but i felt it fit the vibe pretty well, it wasn't just screaming for the sake of it and it wasn't all there was to it. I'm giving it a 4.
Can't say i'm a big fan of country and religious sentiment tends to turn me off completely but can't knock Dolly Parton here.
Never heard this album but felt like i'd heard a lot of the music before. Obviously influenced all sorts of music / tv and film soundtracks. I enjoyed it, a solid 4.
Was played some Fela Kuti a couple of months ago and thought it was pretty decent, gives me vibes of the When We Were Kings documentary soundtrack. Enjoyed this as well, a high 3.
Some alright tunes but didn't really do it for me, especially the singing. Got bored and sacked off the last few tracks.
Got asked why i was listening to the OST for Mario Kart while i had this on. It was about a minute into the first track and it was spot on. Tried to stay interested but it was naff.
Such music. Much bono. How about that fly eh? Wow. I'm not under duress at all. You'd think that going to Ireland and one of my fellow boneyard brethren being a big fan of this album would influence this review and score but you're dead wrong. Wow.
Better than the other elvis album that came up, more rock n roll which i prefer but still not into elvis.
Another sound Rolling Stones album. I hate that forty licks compilation, has taken away some of the enjoyment from these stones albums, skipping some songs because i've heard them so often. Proper enjoyed it from Doncha Bother Me onwards, all tracks i'd never heard and were decent.
The fact radiohead offered a song for whatever you felt like paying for it - maybe nothing - and i still didn't listen to it says a lot about what i think about radiohead. What's heavier, a kilogram of steel, or a kilogram of feathers. Ah don't get it.
Got to give it a 5. Not listened to much blues but this was quality live music and must have influenced all sorts.
Man Asses.
Started off ok but got fairly repetitive and i gave up.
I remember in my arms but yeah nothing special. Destroy mylo.
