suzanne didnt feel like a good opener really liked master song winter lady was similar but just passed by marianna very good closing three tracks possibly my favourite

nothing has really caught my attention i have been liking the names rinky dink was decent i love organ playing and hammond stuff but this wasnt my sort of thing i dont think stranger on the shore was very relaxing however one who really loves you was good too comin home baby was very good 2 stars i think

i need something to wow me to get this past 3 stars its pretty good and i think i will like it as it goes on always has some interesting guitar work the first half of the album was somewhat underwhelming the second half didnt get much better but was better but i will have to keep at 3 stars i think maybe i should listen to more rem to get a better feel for it

its started off VERY duran duran my own way was very funky and i enjoyed it more than rio the album stood still for a bit but the last four songs were pretty good i havent been in to upbeat new wave much but this showed me that the big hits arent a good representation of those bands albums

i felt very relaxed throughout

it seems like decent classical rock so far but i feel like maybe it isnt necessary to listen to music you dont find appealing im sure it was revolutionary in its day but like... some of it is quite boring i will wait until i listen to the less popular songs and the rest of the album but i cant see wanting to listen to it again also lyrically it really doesnt seem very interesting its always about a man pining over a woman and maybe they could branch out into something less monotone? i do love the harmonies in youve got love though and i imagine that if they continue then i will be giving it a two star rather than one the vocals in the less popular tracks remind of jazz songs like georgia on my mind which i love and i can see some of it inspiring simon and garfunkel which i think i appreciate more than these guys im so glad that i didnt grow up listening to this sort of music because it feels so limiting and uninspired but its not like other music of the time wasnt very interesting also these guys just have very repetitive songs so far its sad but in an upbeat way that doesnt bode well because you dont feel any of the emotion and it seems put on i am not excited by any of these songs really and i might be a little harsh too because some of these songs have had interesting parts to them some of the guitar work has been better than i thought but thank god thats over

it was overall pretty good and not entirely what i was expecting and i think i enjoyed it more than thought i was of the impression it would be dissimilar to aerosmith because they were such a 'crazy' combination when walk this way was released and they were but they were not bad

really liked it but i think a bit too much country for my taste in the latter half of the album but still very good i would definitely listen again and recommend it

excellent album similar to cocteau twins heaven or las vegas it was very relaxing and i found myself liking every song i put them all on playlists that i love it had a very consistent theme throughout which could have been boring had you not liked the theme but fortunately it didnt take away from the album for me

by the liked songs this album should be 5 star but i dont know if i was entirely convinced by some parts of the it i absolutely loved the opening track underground and gave me the impression it would be all similar to this track but it turned out to be more experimental than i could have imagined i would definitely give this album 4.5 stars if i could because it appeals to me greatly there were a few tracks that were too spoken for my taste which is a shame because i wanted to rate the album higher but i just couldnt get on with it

i am really finding this very uninspired the instrument work is quite lacking in substance and feels predictable the lyrical work and melody alike are both subdued and feel deliberately unsuccessful in an artful way that hasnt quite come across almost like a blank canvas entitled blank canvas or more like a multicoloured canvas entitled multicoloured canvas i remember me was somewhat likeable and the horseleg swastikas had a bit more interest than the first three tracks but nothing special just starting transylvania blues and i am liking the drums and interesting guitar parts youre the only ten i see oh my that didnt give me much confidence im happy putting one star for this because i really didnt get on with it at all

i have only listened to the first track off this album but i think i am into the relentless experimentation and i want it to be chaotic i have liked every song after this and am half way through the album now its not as experimental as the first track but they still keep a steady amount of interest throughout i dont know how to rate it though because 5 feels too high for what the album is but i dont know what that means exactly i really like the recall of previous parts of the album but at this point i dont know if there are duplicate songs or something it seems like a repeat but different names perhaps? i think this album was just really really good and not something i thought i would like so that is why im struggling but im pretty confident now that its a 5

i really liked a lot of elements throughout it but i wasnt blown away which i guess is silly because monk is an excellent jazz musician but i do like very specific jazz and this was close but not quite it i also dont know who the 5th person is in the album cover unless none of the four people mentioned on the cover are these people

there are a couple tracks on here that i just absolutely love shoot you down and fools gold respectively my favourites on the album some of the other songs were good and some alright i enjoyed the album as a whole but dont know if i can put it more than three stars really its certainly on the higher end though i just looked through the other albums i have rated and this is certainly better than some of those threes so four it is i am struggling with the lemons though

i felt a bit uncomfortable with some of the lyrics but really liked some of the musical ideas but not an awful amount it certainly wasnt sensational

im not all that country or blues but these guys were alright

whilst i liked every song i dont think it was a five star album because every song was likeable but in the same way that they all were so there was no surprise or anything which i was hoping for despite this i think the album was very good and better than i thought it would be

all of the songs were just really good and i enjoyed them a lot nothing else to say

i liked a lot of these songs but really i cant remember them too well i think they were fine but not good enough for me to be like wow i want to listen to this again like ever and i know wow its peter gabriel he wrote solsbury hill which is not how i would spell that by the way but anyway he is just so normal oh my god

im not really feeling the vibe after constantinople i may have to stop at duck stab and leave buster & glen to the mystery of the music world im all for experimental music but this has very little to offer in the way of musical forethought they will really have to pull something out of the blue for me to get this above 2 stars the booker tease is very good laughing song feels like it must have been so fun to perform because it is so crazy i would just prefer to listen to so much other music it is unreal im also not interested in the music enough to expect much from the next song and i just dont understand how they deliver the exact amount of disappointing consistently every song im sorry i really tried to like some of this album but i would never recommend this to anyone especially myself because i just think no one should be put through this yes i know it doesnt sound like i was open minded from the beginning but i promise i was i just think it had crushed my soul a little bit i dont want to listen to the lizard lady rant over an out of tune synth okay im sorry ive even given up on duck stab now i cant put myself through it any longer im really sorry if the last two tracks were good but i just cant do it

i was pretty satisfied with every song on this album and liked them all however i dont think i was thrilled enough by it to call it a 5 star album but i will happily rate it a 4

now i have listened to jimi hendrix a fair bit before but mainly its just been songs not albums it shouldnt effect my ranking at all but jimi hendrix to me doesnt feel like an album artist hes got like two songs really when you think about it i havent commented on the album yet but im halfway through and just started 1983 which i think might be my favourite song so far the musical ideas that ive been hearing i feel are interesting and whilst that is the extent of my description i feel like there is so much diversity and versatility in the interest which makes the album so far more interesting than one particular song although i do like the spaced out epic trance of voodoo chile and 1983 i went into this thinking it would be like a 4/5 star album considering the rave it gets and i know are you experienced is more iconic or whatever but electric ladyland definitely gets talked about otherwise it wouldnt be on here im in between 3/4 and it feels good to know that i can allow myself to say this because there is the obvious feeling of pressure you get when listening to early music which im going to dub as 'pink pressure' the main example being you supposedly have to give dark side of the moon a five because pink floyd are like the best i dont know how i havent said this already but i absolutely love some of these guitar tones and just the general style of playing and whoever the hell is playing drums is so awesome hendrix has such an iconic voice obviously but there are better vocalists maybe not specifically for the vibe he was going for because it is him but im not like blown away by anything he has done yet when i get to watchtower im sure i will think my god how is this a dylan song when hendrix just does it so much better i felt i had to write this part because i havent really done a review of the album its just been me talking im really glad that this is basically just a guitar album with a backing and the vocals even somehow comes under backing because it must have been one of the first times anyone really had such success with so much unbelievably creative guitar and the rest of the songs still keep up with it the thing is with this album is that i wouldnt listen to it again out of my own volition so it could never be a 5 star and i feel like its not even close even though ive liked every song and by my usual logic if i like every song but probably wouldnt listen to the album in its entirety again for a long time then its a 4 but im not sure its there either my next piece of logic is if its between two numbers then its the lower one because if it was the higher one it wouldnt be between but i do feel wrong giving this a 3 ive just checked this album against my other 3s and 4s i can decidedly say that this belongs with the 4s

i had quite low expectations for this album for some reason i was given the impression that it was not that great but i thought it was really cool i overall liked all the songs and there were a couple that i really got on with like yes and faster but the rest of the tracks were still good this sort of rating would usually come out to a 3 for me but i quite enjoyed listening to the album as a whole and the message of it so it definitely bumps it up for me

this is exactly why the rating system has a middle star

this was a bit hit and miss and when i did like a song it was really good as oppose to songs i didnt really like which were fine but not like fine when you see an attractive person and elongate the i in fine

this album is so unbelievably fun to listen to but i dont think i can give it 5 stars it didnt give me inspiration like some newer albums have done i do think its very very good but i dont think queen have ever been my go to artist to listen to i dont have anything else to say

this was a pretty awesome album there were some elements during the listening where i thought these guys know how to write interesting songs and its not like i didnt think they could but i have had middle expectations for most of the albums i have listened to recently they havent all delivered that much but this was an exception almost to the extent of giving it 5 stars i think if this cant get a 5 star from me then most older music wont get anything more than a 4 i think i prefer the production of somewhat newer music

so im on the first track and im trying to figure out if i like the song so far i think the main thing that im into is the bass and drums the guitar is pretty cool too actually its his voice i really find it off putting and unsuiting to the music for some reason this instrumental outro to the queen is dead is awesome frankly mr shankly was extremely forgettable despite the rhyme ive listened to i know its over before and have always thought it was pretty good and i sort of expected the album to follow the style of this track more which might be the case for the rest of the album the space for the bass in the verses is really cool too another pretty awesome track never had no one ever really relaxing and sad and his voice wasnt as annoying as when i first heard it this next song on the other hand has just brought me back to disliking it i dont know how he does it this is going to be such a tough album to rate because the music is definitely the sort of thing im into the bass jumping all over the place the guitar parts seem fairly intricate and interesting and the drummer sounds like theyre having a decent time and im sure morrissey is technically a good singer but not my style at all ill stop talking about it until something more notable happens oh yeah that line i have always hated so much for some reason the pleasure the privilege is mine part it makes me physically uncomfortable and i want to avoid it as much as i can and again the music is cool and interesting but i dont like many of the songs as full pieces of work this would probably be a 4/5 star instrumental album but he does manage to bring it down to a 2 for me the lyrics overall have generally been quite poor and this last song does emphasise the point enough for me to believe there is something to what i am saying

good mourning / black friday stood out to me as a really good track and everything else was good there is a very distinctive voice and i would be more inclined to listen to this album again which isnt something i can say for these albums which makes me want to put it at a 4 but i really cant bring myself to do that

i actively enjoyed this album but not enough to give it 5 stars because there were a couple tracks on it that i dont remember

im sorry i didnt really like this album very much i listened through twice at different times and really wanted to like it but its just not my kind of thing

i put this album on in the background while playing a game and i thought it was quite excellent jazz isnt my go to genre by any means but i think this has inspired me enough to look into afro-cuban jazz and other genres similar

i dont know if maybe i am giving this more credit than i should for my own musical taste but the last song on this album was really good and i did like a couple of the other tracks but nothing amazing i usually would put this at a 2.5 but i really did like grace and all the songs i didnt think about that much were fine i was really thinking about this a lot i had a brief look at my other ratings and this album is a 2 star despite any other reasoning i gave earlier on shouting out grace as a very good track and the rest is like ... fine thats what a two star is i think maybe im trying to justify 3 stars but i cant

this was pretty average 21st century rock stuff it was good and i liked it but i dont think i could really see myself listening to it again any time soon i think expectations were high also because i do love some white stripes stuff and there wasnt anything on here that was close to that apart from sixteen saltines which as i am typing it out thinking what is a saltine and why are there sixteen of them but yeah it was good but nothing special

i dont have much to say maybe other than it cant be a one star because it takes so little risk and is just fine and i dont think it will be anything more or less for me the only songs that i was interested by were wonderland and shake it off but that is about it

okay so this was a difficult one to rate because i really thought that it was excellent musically and lyrically and those typical marks of a good album but i just didnt enjoy it one of the most prominent examples of music i know is good but dont like and i completely understand anyone who thinks this is a 5 star album because it has everything for that i am just not a fan i think i would like to listen to more just to make sure i feel this way about adele as a whole and not just this album

im really just not a country fan but there wasnt anything particularly stand out bad or good so an easy rating i think

after listening to some very average music this album came in and saved me i have always loved it but dont revisit it all that often because i thought i was more of a fan of just the hits but this listen really made me appreciate how good korn are and i am happily rating this 5 stars i do want to note that if i did decimal star ratings then this would not stay at 5 just because i feel uncomfortable listening to some of the things being sung and it does make me enjoy the album less

alright so this was a pretty fun listen i loved the atmosphere and feeling connected to ellington and the rest of the band through all the introductions and the only reason i wont give this 5 stars is because there is so much jazz and there wasnt a song on here that made me go woah this is revolutionary which i guess is kind of what i expect in order for an album to have that rating but yeah it was great

im just not into it

some really good songs on here mad cyril and wrote for luck being two of my favourites i cant get enough of the huge drum sounds of the 80s they really do make some songs for me nothing more to mention really i dont think i will listen to the album again but i may come back to some songs i think the album averages out to 3 stars for me but i could easily have put it at 2 or 4 if it were or werent for small details within the album

relistening to this album after a couple years which was the last time i was here and it really doesnt do anything for me - it is very dull and can see myself liking it 5 or so years ago but its not me anymore id like to give it 3 stars because thats what it deserves but i have to go 2 im going 3 actually because i have some reviews of 2 star albums that this is much better than but its a really low 3 star

pretty good stuff - im not prepared to give it 4 stars because i didnt get anything out of the album but i would like to say that this is probably as far away as you can get from my previous review whilst still being the same rating

did not want to stop listening - was disappointed when the album finished it was just a great vibe and excellent music
