American Music ClubFeels extremely dated, like a band trying to play Toad The Wet Sprocket. I'd read a review suggesting this was like slowcore. It is not, and it it's Not for me.

Two songs you know well, one country version of another and a bunch of filler. Monkey Man surprised me until the minute plus of howling. Would turn the dial on 4.5 of these 9 tracks...that .5 being the second half of Monkey Man
A couple of tracks in, has a very social record feel to it. Good for get-togethers and drinks, conversation and laughter. Added 7 of 14 tracks to "1001" Playlist and easily could've gone higher
Went from ecstatic to listen to this lp to fairly underwhelmed. Added 3 of 14 to 1001 Playlist with Never Let Me Down Again a clear number one
A fine jazz album, would be fantastic for a get-together, a dinner party, something smooth in the background. Better as a whole, added 2 songs to 1001 Playlist.....1957 is damned impressive
First note....so many current bands attempting this same sound today. And failing. The Depeche Mode/Joy Division for me, has been settled. Joy division all the way. Added 6 of 10 tracks to 1001 Playlist. Could've been more.....
Very good sound quality for a live album, I was kinda dreading this listen...my wife was absolutely dreading it. Took the advice of some fellow reviewers with more expertise and stopped where the original album ended. Track 7. Space Truckin. 7 songs, one hour. A pretty good time. Added 3 tracks to the 1001 Playlist.
So very funky, so unbelievably good and filled with so many classic breaks, beats, and choruses....so much music has been built off the genius of this album. So much...and I'm ecstatic it exists. Added 5 of 9 songs to 1001 Playlist

Too far out of my wheelhouse to enjoy at all. The vocals are what Truly takes me out of the music....the instrumentation itself is enjoyable.
I would like to update my profile for all future prog rock albums automatically get one star and I get the night off 👌
Stone cold classic. Every track added to 1001 Experience unless it contained a skit so half lol
Actually much better than anticipated after reading some reviews. Not the folks, Indian mash up people are making it out to be. All over the place, some decent jams. 3 tracks added to 1001 Experience Playlist.
Not to take anything away from anyone else but...Not my thing, not our thing. I've always been shocked to see these albums in the Young God catalog.....
Obviously a heavy influence on so many musicians and trends and genres but just listening today I'm at about 50% on songs on this album and skipping the last couple feedback heavy minutes of several tracks based on my wife's reactions lol 4 tracks added to 1001 Experience Playlist
The first time I had my now wife in my truck, on the way to a catering event, I had this album in the cd player. The looks I got, the commentary, I'll never know how close I was to blowing it without even knowing it lol. But this lp is classic, back to back and I stopped adding songs to our Playlist out of respect to the other albums ND artists we've yet to discover.
Enjoyed (my wife Enjoyed more). Talented band, love the sound, the voice...lyrics are just a little bit repetitive for me. 4 tracks added to 1001 Experience playlist
Overwhelmingly impressed with this album! I've heard the track Zombie, unsure if I've ever heard the lp until this morning. If I did, I was in a fog because this is fricking awesome
Time and place may have made this more popular than I can perceive at the moment. Not my thing!
We liked this, a softer, gentle Sinatra. Wouldn't listen to it a ton in place of our normal Sinatra, danceable Playlist but not a knock against this at all. Very laid-back. Added 6 tracks to our 1001 Experience Playlist
Great album, one of the reasons I came here was for groups I knew I needed to listen to more of and never would get around to on my own. The Cult is great, added 3 or 4 songs, could've easily been doubled
Will be returning to not only this album but I'll be exploring their discography to see what else I'm missing! Great energy, great lp! Added at least 7 tracks to our 1001 experience playlist
Very melodic and not for me at all.
Oh how I loathe Roxy Music. Always have, went into this hoping I'd hear something of note. I did not.
Exactly what you would expect from an Offspring lp. Had a cleaning project to do, threw it on, added one song to 1001 experience playlist just could've been interchanged with any other Offspring song
Stunningly good lp! Knew going in this would be towards the top of my experience so far, added every tune except obviously Ooby dooby to our 1001 experience playlist
Almost skipped entirely during the first track, I'm glad I gave it a chance but ultimately skipped 50% of the album. Just not something I'll come back to, added 1 track to 1001 experience playlist
It's fine, typical 60's 70's pop. Added 5 tracks to our 1001 Experience playlist, could've been less and I never would've missed them
4 songs in and I'm mentally checking out. They play this in Whole Foods and Days Inn elevators
Good album, great music, legendary all the way around....didn't add a lot to our playlist from the 1001 Experience because it's a front to back lp
A great Outkast lp, not (to me) one of their top tier but most commercially successful with the 3 big hits. Too many skits just like most hip hop unfortunately & seems to me you can see the cracks forming here....Still added 7 tracks to 1001 Playlist Experience and it was fun to revisit with my wife.
A couple of great songs, then seemingly like every other RS lp nothing but basic filler. The definition of a greatest hits band vs full discography. 2 songs added to 1001 Playlist Experience Playlist and the rest was fairly forgettable
Dusty has an incredible voice and does it as good, if not better, than most. This album is full of classics, a great Saturday morning listen with the family. Added six tracks to the 1001 Experience playlist, could've easily added more.
Well I was really dreading having this in my listening history and ultimately listened to mostly snippets because that's all I could take. Added one track to the playlist and that may not last. Not my thing and that's just fine
Added 3 tracks to the 1001 Experience Playlist, could've been more or less and I probably wouldn't've missed any or sought anymore out. A classic reggae album just not something I'm crazy about
Rock solid blues album. One of the best to ever do it. Only added one track to the 1001 Experience Playlist to remind myself to go back AND listen, the kind of lp to listen to the performance all the way through
This album is much better than I anticipated...or thought I remembered it as. A good rock lp from early 2000's....Added 7 tracks to the 1001 Experience Playlist....
First song I was shocked u didn't already have on a playlist or two! Definitely went into this lp with a little controlled excitement as I kinda dig the yacht rock revival era we're living in. But ugh, maybe this album is a perfect example of why one band has one or two songs playing in the YR playlist/radio stations. Not quite one hit wonders, more like one or two hits per lp with loads of filler. This, 95% filler baby
I have this album shelved away squarely in "the most overrated lp of all time" collection. I remember when this dropped, every magazine, every critical hailed this as one of the greatest things to ever have been released. 26 years later(?!) I'm still not buying it
Wow. Just the sheer amount of fantastic music on this one album. Not a surprise that Fleetwood Mac kicks ass, surprised we added 11 tracks to the 1001 Experience Playlist.
Not my thing but really it's the vocals preventing me from enjoying this record. The music itself is pretty impressive, the rhythms are catchy enough that this band shouldn't've been a one hit wonder. Oh well, added the one track with no vocals to the 1001 Experience Playlist
Not bad. Soulful, sultry, smooth. And a little bit underwhelming. Added 4 funky tracks to the 1001 Experience Playlist
Wow. 11 straight killer tracks added to the 1001 Experience Playlist. This was such a mesmerizingly beautiful album from the first note to the art. What a voice, what a talent 🔥
When this first popped up I got exconly because my wife wouldn't insist I waited for her to listen to it (up to 2 weeks later lol) then read some reviews and some users made this sound so incredibly up my alley that I paused and almost waited....then I decided to sample and oh noy i knew I was safe to play the whole awful thing. I suffered through this so you don't have to
Added a couple of tracks to the 1001 Experience Playlist but really nothing special or Groundbreaking here. This could've been any late 60's to mid 70's insert generic band name here
Classic band, Classic album. Stellar, concise. 6 of 9 songs added to the 1001 Experience Playlist
Really impressed with this album, Queen seems to be a "victim" of their 2 biggest hits, 2 biggest overplayed songs in the history of recorded music. Definitely has encouraged me to look at their back catalog and see what else they have. Added 7 songs to the 1001 Experience Playlist
Ten years ago I had a party to attend, I didn't have time to go home and change so I stopped in the local mall and picked up the only overtly me shirt I could find....trendy enough to hang in a mall, understated enough that only people that knew would notice. Flash forward to today, just done listening to Bitched Brew with another Miles Davis almost a week behind me, and realizing that even though it mostly fits me still, I'm required to donate that M.Davis shirt to goodwill. I just can't pretend to enjoy it anymore.
No songs here do much for me. The three that've received all the attention the last 30 years are overplayed and worn thin. There were two or three tracks I was greatly enjoying and then....rotary phone tones, or fax machines in the background haha like, I won't want to jam to that. Ever
I dig it, completely a time and place album though. Only added one track to the 1001 Experience Playlist
I haven't listened to this album in 30 years, and I've never listened to it with the ears and mind and eyes of an adult who's learned, seen and experienced so many of the issues that were boiling points for these records and these groups...these Men & Women. What a remarkable, angry, focused example of what great protest art can be. All time classic
Added one track to 1001 Experience Playlist and got the hell out of dodge. This harkens back to a different place in my life and it's filled me with anxiety
Added 6 tracks to the 1001 Experience Playlist and that number shocks me, it felt like 30 minutes in between good songs. Prince has some all time bangers but his mid & late career isn't my favorite.
This record was released 23 years ago...and this is the first time I've ever intentionally listened to a Destiny's Child album and it's also the first time I've ever heard two (+) consecutive Destiny's Child/Beyonce songs in a row. Honestly the only observation I have is how little r&b/pop music has changed since then. Easy to see the appeal for a certain demographic of young, impressionable females when it was released but I've already moved on
Woof. No notes, just.....what an exhausting experience. 1 song added to 1001 Experience Playlist and it wasn't even close to considering a second.
Very good, very long album! Can't believe this was 2010, not a band I was familiar with going back that far! 9 tracks added to the 1001 Experience Playlist
I was more familiar with this album than I realized, just not a huge Radiohead fan. Added 4 songs to the 1001 Experience Playlist
Man the high from the first half of this album is undeniable and I could listen to that funkiness over and over again....the second half trails off a bit but still a great album and I definitely need to check out more of Mayfield's music! 4 tracks added to the 1001 Experience Playlist
A fine, grooving jazz lp that, if you're into 10 minute tracks, has to be quite an experience upon first listen. We liked it well enough but 3 or 4 minutes into each track found ourselves losing interest. 1 track (Chicken Shack) added to 1001 Experience Playlist
Talent and skill is undeniable. Really incredibly interesting to see this album isn't on Spotify or streaming besides YouTube.
Why in God's name are these songs 6 minutes long?
While I can see the draw of Sepultra and I can hear the talent of the band, it's something I recognize but cannot find enjoyment in.
I've always been kinda anti-Coldplay just based on radio play and thought maybe this album on this list would prove me wrong. It certainly did not do that.
