The Idiot
Iggy PopThis still sounds as immediate as it did back in 1977. Not only is the album still a banger, but you have to give credit to the engineering crew for the crisp sound.

I know every note of this album by heart.
The music is great, but the story premise is lame.
This album still sounds as fresh as it did back in the late '70s.
I'd never heard this album before, though I'm very familiar with "The Suburbs." I like their brand of dreamy rock, though in smaller doses.
Disco is still dead. I did try to listen to this album on its own merits, but it's still the same repetitive, slick, overproduced monotony that it was in the 1970s.
Pretty good, though I probably wouldn't listen to the whole album at one time. I wasn't very familiar with PJ Harvey except by name, but I can see how this album earned a place on the list.

I liked it more than I thought I would. I was only peripherally aware of Hole in the day -- like most people, I knew Courtney Love more as Kurt Cobain's gf rather than as an artist in her own right.
This album was revolutionary for its time, and the raw emotion still comes through.
What a fun album! I was only familiar with the first track, but really enjoyed listening to the rest of it.
Wow -- I had forgotten what an amazing voice Dusty Springfield had. The arrangements of her songs definitely sound like the products of their time, but her voice comes through as beautiful and immediate as ever.
This album is not really to my taste, but I was impressed by the musicianship and the quality of engineering.
I liked this better than I thought I would. It's very well engineered.
Still a classic. You can hear the raspy weariness in Jim Morrison's vocals, made all the more poignant by the knowledge that he wouldn't live very long after it was recorded.
I liked it! Some nice old-school punk. I don't think I could listen to the whole album beginning to end, but I enjoyed it in small doses.
One of the best of all time
I actually liked it, though not to listen to continuously. It's part rap, part metal -- and actually, a lot of fun.
I loved this album back when it was newer, but don't like it nearly as much as I do the later albums, like Meddle and Dark Side of the Moon.
Some really great old songs on this disc.
This is the first time I've heard the entire album, though I know the big hit songs. I actually thought all the songs sounded more or less the same, but I like the sound.
Wonderful; blues album from one of the early supergroups!
I have no idea why this album was included in the 1001, but now I can say I've listened to it. Deeply unremarkable.
I've never liked Bob Dylan. I still don't.
It was very nice -- mellow and relaxing.
Nice to hear early Smiths again.
Always a fun listen. The Beatles hadn't quite developed their compositional chops, but these older songs still have all the joy and energy of that time in their career arc.
I really enjoyed this album, even though I hadn't heard it before.
I didn't get this album when it was first released -- but as I listened to more of the Talking Heads, I because a real fan. This is a great reminder of where the band started out.
Wonderful!
Loved it!
Otis Redding is one of the greats, but this album sounded so dated.
Was this album removed from Spotify for some reason? I could find it in listener playlists, but not by itself.
Disco still sucks.
