So by Peter Gabriel

Red Rain - love the drums and synths. good background song for driving or studying. Bit too repetitive for me. Sledgehammer - A classicccc. Don't we all want a good sledgehammering sometimes. Also the music video is trippy af. Don't Give Up - low key moody song, love the girls voice but it's too slow for me. Cool baseline at the end. That Voice Again - cool hihats and drumming on this one. Like how it builds up to the chorus. Mercy Street - very atmospheric, I liked the flutes and jungle/island sound. Big Time - very 80s Duran Duran. It's ok We Do What We Are Told - OK weird interlude This Is The Picture - excellent snow, birds flying, pictures of people...right In Your Eyes - omg he sings this song!? So good, it's like Africa by Toto 2.0 Giving it a 3 even though I did find another song I added to my favourites because the slower songs were way to repetitive and really testing me not to skip them lol

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Apr 23 2024

Solid album, loved the 70s sound especially the production with the horns, guitars and full sound from the guitars etc. Some songs felt very samey but clearly the album had a cohesive sound. Love Bring It On but haven't saved any other songs so give it a pass Rating.

Purple Rain by Prince
Apr 24 2024

Love when doves cry and thought the rest of the album was a vibe but wasn't obsessed. The artistry in the music is obvious!

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Apr 26 2024

Love the lyricism and concept. Was more of a fan of the second half than first. A classic album but really gotta be in the mood for folk rock.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Apr 29 2024

A very strange and interesting musical trip. Definitely felt like an acid trip. I am glad I listened to it. I liked the more chill songs like little umbrellas and peaches en regalia. Other songs are a bit too full on for me.

Transformer by Lou Reed
Apr 30 2024

I love David Bowie so I loved the production on this album. It is actually quite whimsical I thought. Some songs were meh especially the slower ones but I loved Wagon Wheel, Hangin' Around and New York Phone Conversations. New York Phone Conversations sounds so much like it belongs in a musical.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
May 01 2024

One of the most unique and interesting listening experiences. I think I would play this again while working, not every song but majority of them definitely need multiple listens. Just because of the ambience and complexity of the sampling I have to give it a 4.

May 02 2024

Except for Money I haven't heard the music off this album even though I knew of it. I actually really enjoyed listening to the first half up till Money. There is definitely an other worldly feel to it. Time and On the Run remind me of Tron and I wouldn't be surprised if Daft Punk drew inspiration from it.

Live At The Star Club, Hamburg by Jerry Lee Lewis
May 03 2024

Kinda hate how much I love this. It's such a tight, energetic and raw performance. Jerry is a God awful person but a damn good musician. Also he tried to drunkenly kill Elvis lol

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
May 06 2024

I listened to only the first disc, this album is a lot of music! I loved the classic orchestration the big band feel and of course Ella's beautiful voice but definitely need to be in the mood to listen to the whole thing and unfortunately I wasn't this time. One day I will get through it.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
May 07 2024

It was a good listen but wouldn't listen to it again. Felt very basic 60s-70s sound.

Fire Of Love by The Gun Club
May 08 2024

Really great punk album! Loved sex beat, promise me and she's like heroin to me

London Calling by The Clash
May 09 2024

A fun punk album, I thought it was a bit too long but it had some bangers

The Renaissance by Q-Tip
May 10 2024

Wasn't really for me, I did enjoy some tracks but didn't find most memorable.

Rio by Duran Duran
May 13 2024

Loveeee Duran Duran, 80s perfection.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
May 14 2024

Some good ole yeehaw! I am still not a country fan but Johnny Cash is alright - he is actually hilarious and my favourite parts were his audience interaction.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
May 15 2024

It was okay, couldn't get into it like other funk albums.

May 16 2024

A classic album from the 2000s. Found a couple of new songs I liked - 4th Dimensonal Transition and Of Moons, Birds & Monsters 365 Days has ruined Electric Feel for me a bit...I can't hear 'babygirl' without thinking of Massimo ๐Ÿคข

War by U2
May 17 2024

Some classic songs like Sunday bloody Sunday. I get the history and significance of the album but couldn't really get into it.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
May 20 2024

Interesting album with cool experimental sounds incorporating nature and African beats. Glad I listened to it but wouldn't listen again.

Now I Got Worry by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
May 23 2024

Was not a fan, I get the experimental aim of this album but it was both too much for my ears and too long

Nevermind by Nirvana
May 24 2024

I fucking conic. The sound of my angsty teenage years.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
May 27 2024

I thought I loved jazz but I think this is too experimental and too mucn for me so maybe I don't love it as much as I thought.

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
May 28 2024

I am not really into rap but I really appreciated this album and the racial, political and socio-economic commentary throughout it. I know it has been sampled to death cause there are so many parts I recognised. Really glad I listened to it.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Jun 04 2024

Really enjoyed the sampling and experimentalism of this one.

The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers
Jun 05 2024

Really enjoyed this album, was a real gut punch and with the way things are politically these days it's as relevant as ever. I have never heard of the group before so glad to have discovered them! Favourites are: Yes, 4st 7lb and ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthfornedayitsworldwouldfallapart

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Jun 06 2024

An iconic album, K Dot won that Pulitzer for a reason. Fave is King Kunta.

Architecture And Morality by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Jun 07 2024

This was such a surprise. I loved the album, it was the perfect mix of 80s synth and dystopian/moody lyrics. So happy to have found this project and discovered such amazing music through it.

Hotel California by Eagles
Jun 10 2024

Hotel California is a classic song but none of the others on the album really matched it for me.

Happy Sad by Tim Buckley
Jun 13 2024

Wasn't a fan.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Jun 18 2024

Solid album, I know the Radiohead sound and some of their more famous songs but first time listening to a full album. Good one to listen to in winter or a rainy day. Fave song is There, There.

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Jun 20 2024

Bit too country folk for my tastes. Also the songs are loooong, especially those solos. Layla slaps though so have to give it to them for that.

The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
Jun 27 2024

Not my thing, a bit too slow and folksy.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Jul 02 2024

Loved some of the songs but overall found the sampling a bit too much at times.

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Jul 08 2024

Solid album, was an easy listen on a grey Saturday. Black hole sun and fell on black days were the standouts for me.

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Jul 09 2024

Okay did not know Tears for Fears had so many great songs in one album. Aside from the big ones I loved The Working Hour and Head Over Heels/Broken

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Jul 10 2024

I only listened to disc 1, I liked some of the music but found the introduction/talking tracks disrupted the flow of the music personally.

Country Life by Roxy Music
Jul 12 2024

Enjoyed this album, ended up adding out of the blue to my liked playlist.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Jul 15 2024

Nice album, lovely voice and easy to listen in the background but don't think I would listen to it again.

Bad Company by Bad Company
Jul 18 2024

Solid album, Bad Company the song is a classic. None of the other songs stood out to me but were good background songs to listen to while working.

Wild Wood by Paul Weller
Aug 06 2024

Solid 90s album, nothing special to me though.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Aug 29 2024

Similar to other Johnny Cash live albums, liked the banter. Music was good.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Aug 30 2024

I am not much of a country listener but Dolly is one of the exceptions. She is so darn charming. I like coat of many colours and travelling man.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Sep 02 2024

Amy has an incredible voice, I loved the story telling in the songs. Some of it was too slow for me so wouldn't reach for it again but I am glad I heard it.

Your Arsenal by Morrissey
Oct 03 2024

Morrissey is not a great person but damn he makes great music. I loved this whole album, my fave song is Tomorrow.

Sulk by The Associates
Oct 10 2024

I was not a fan of most of the instrumental heavy songs. Loved party fears two, club country, love hangover as some good 80s synth pop.

Smash by The Offspring
Oct 14 2024

Amazing album! Love The Offispring. I loved the radio voice over for the beginning and end of the album.

Halcyon Digest by Deerhunter
Oct 18 2024

I enjoyed the listen through, I did skip some songs. Maybe I needed to be in the right mood for it because I usually like this type of music.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Oct 28 2024

Not for me. I preferred their older albums.

Live! by Fela Kuti
