Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada

Otherworldy. The album cover perfectly encapsulates the unsettling paranoia that a lot of the tracklist evokes. Loved it. Best song: Turquoise Hexagon Sun / Happy Cycling Worst song: Rue the Whirl

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Sep 30 2024

Some great classics that are always fun, but also a few skips. Good overall.

Guero by Beck
Oct 01 2024

Perfectly listenable, but not something I will personally listen to.

Revolver by Beatles
Oct 04 2024

Great overall.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Oct 05 2024

Ehhh, huh. Hated this. The guy voice is awful and none of the songs have anything interesting going on. Kinda skipped my way through it.

Let England Shake by PJ Harvey
Oct 06 2024

Din like it. Not god-awful or anything, but even with it being pretty experimental, I did not really find it interesting at all. Some songs were straight unlistenable tho.

Made In Japan by Deep Purple
Oct 07 2024

So much energy bursting from this. Disc 2 is mostly repeats and I didnt really care for Lucille, but I otherwise thought it was great. What a classic rock album should feel like.

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Oct 08 2024

Not really that into the reggae sound, but this was enjoyable enough. Consistent quality.

Imperial Bedroom by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Oct 09 2024

Why? Why again? :( Best song: Shabby Doll Worst song: Town Cryer

Oct 10 2024

I like the 80s neon aesthetic, and it is fun with the grimy street youth feeling. Still feels a little too safe and similar sounding, and a lot of the songs are totally uninteresting. Thought it was fine, but not good enough to give 3 stars, probably. Best song: Tainted Love Worst song: What? Best title: Sex Dwarf

Imagine by John Lennon
Oct 11 2024

Pretty good. Doesnt reach the hights of some of the classic beatles albums, but works well as something additional to listen to once in a while. Best song: imagine / jealous guy Worst song: Its so hard

Rio by Duran Duran
Oct 12 2024

Pretty enjoyable, definitly a vibe. Its difficult to find something more 80s than this. Best song: Rio Worst song: My own way

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Oct 13 2024

Geee, why am I still here? Just to suffer? Best song: No Dancing Worst song: (The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes

Oct 14 2024

What your grandma listens to. Also, a surprising number of the songs are about killing his wife. Best song: What I Don't Know Worst song: One More Name

Oct 15 2024

Pretty entertaining and goes down easy. Mmm Best song: Don't Look Back in Anger Worst song: Champagne Supernova

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Oct 16 2024

Like the acidy, laid back feeling of a number of the song, but it's nothing exiting. Passes by easily, but stays passed by. Best song: L'America Worst Song: The Changeling

Station To Station by David Bowie
Oct 17 2024

Didn't like this as much as i thought i maybe would. Sonically, everything feels in place and the album floats by like one long experience as any good albums should, but nothing really sticks. None of these songs are songs I will think of for long. Best song: Station to Statio Worst song: TVC15

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Oct 18 2024

Not really the type of rap I usually listen to, but a good chunk of it is pretty enjoyable. I did find a few of the tracks to be pure earrape, however. Best song: Lil' Ghetto Boy / Nuthin' But a "G" Thang Worst song: The Chronic (Intro) / High Powered

Low by David Bowie
Oct 19 2024

Again, did not feel much for this. Definitly more good than bad and I might have been a little harsh on the last record, although I think my last assertion about standout tracks rings true here as well. Best song: What in the World Worst song: Warszawa

Fromohio by fIREHOSE
Oct 20 2024

Pretty enjoyable. Fairly surprising that this album does not have more listens on spotify. The quality is consistent throughout and the instrumental work is impressive. Best song: Riddle of the Eighties Worst song: Liberty For Our Friends

Oct 21 2024

Likeable enough, but it has nothing that bursts through the wholeness of the album and grabs you by the throat. I simply find myself longing for something more. Best song: Village Green Worst song: Starstruck

Elephant by The White Stripes
Oct 22 2024

Pretty damn good. It's only some of the slower songs I find issue with, and I think the album ends on the worst possible note with a song I really don't like, but other than that I found a lot to enjoy. Best song: Seven Nation Army Worst song: It's True That We Love One Another

Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada
Oct 23 2024

Otherworldy. The album cover perfectly encapsulates the unsettling paranoia that a lot of the tracklist evokes. Loved it. Best song: Turquoise Hexagon Sun / Happy Cycling Worst song: Rue the Whirl

Tom Tom Club by Tom Tom Club
Oct 24 2024

Some somewhat likeable songs intermingled with some of truly unlistenable garbage. Have to admit that I only like genius of love because of Sunny. Best song: Genius of Love Worst song: Atsababy! (Life is Great)

90 by 808 State
Oct 25 2024

It's not bad per say, but it is also not something i am going to listen to again. I appreciate the sound, but theres not much to gain outside of that. Best Song: Cobra Bora Worst Song: 808080808

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Oct 26 2024

Really good overall, the quality never really falls off. Impressive instrumental work with an inspired vocal performance that really seals the package. Complete. Best song: Purple Haze Worst song: Can You See Me

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
Oct 27 2024

Starts off really poorly, but gains much from the smooth instrumentals. Love how muted the drums sound and its really fun when the pianist takes off, but I didn't really like the lead vocalist. Best Song: Ride the Wind Worst Song: Smug

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Oct 28 2024

Fantastic riffs, sweaty and smelly. Chef's kiss. Best Song: Good Grief Worst song: X-Static

Different Class by Pulp
Oct 29 2024

Really theathrical, and, as such, right up my alley. Theres so much emotion and energy in just the lead vocalists voice, that it in itself pulls you into the experience. Best Song: Mis-Shapes Worst Song: Sorted For E's & Wizz

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Oct 30 2024

David Byrne has such a unique and defining voice. The music is mostly smooth and controlled while mixing in a lot of noises you dont hear often elsewhere, and Byrnes voice sails over it and makes it his own. Damn good. Best Song: The Great Curve Worst Song: Seen And Not Seen

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Oct 31 2024

Love the energy and the constantly distorted guitar. The four last song are rather weak though imo, and ends the album on a low point when the energy could have been better spread out. Still damn good. Best Song: Mansize Rooster / Sitting Up Straight Worst Song: We're Not Supposed To

Be by Common
Nov 01 2024

I've kind of always liked Common, but I've also never really listened to him. His rhymes are very deliberate, at times this can be cool, but it can also get sort of boring. Still liked this album, but I'm not going to put that many of these songs on a playlist. Best Song: Chi-City Worst Song: Love is...

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Nov 02 2024

Very likeable, and when it is good, it is really damn good. Just the sort of sound you would expect from a band with "electric" and "orchestra" in the name. Theres a bit of queen and a hint of ABBA. I think some of the more old school rock and roll tunes and some of the more dancy tracks fall a bit flat, however. Best Song: Mr. Blue Sky / Turn to Stone Worst Song: Across the Border

Damaged by Black Flag
Nov 03 2024

Really not my thing at all. Every word is spat out rather painfully. It doesn't sound as much like the vocal control you normally hear in metal (I dont listen to metal much...), as it does someone with a bad cough going onto stage anyways. They are probably skilled on their instruments, but everything sounds the same, and when I skimmed through the album before writing this, I had a very hard time finding anything to like at all. Best Song: No More Worst Song: TV Party

American Idiot by Green Day
Nov 04 2024

Very well made. The production is top notch and the lead vocalist has very impressive vocal control, but its almost a little too clean. Best Song: Holiday / Boulevard of Broken Dreams Worst Song: Whatsername

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Nov 05 2024

A alluring musical experience that takes you through blended genres masterfully. Best Song: Sly Worst Song: Watermelon Man

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Nov 07 2024

Incredibly likeable. Also includes the best version of All Along the Watchtower, dont @ me. Best Song: All Along the Watchtower Worst Song: House Burning Down

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Nov 08 2024

S'a pretty cool album all in all, but I feel like it could have given a little more. Best Song: Since I've Been Loving You Worst Song: Hats Off To (Roy) Harper

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Nov 10 2024

Impressively built and shows a rich and varied soundscape. Some of the songs are a bit much. Best Song: Two Hearts in 3/4 Time Worst Song: Flight Tonight

Nov 11 2024

Less music and more just experimental noise. Appreciate it for what it is, even though I did not care for it much myself. Best Song: Regiment Worst Song: Very Very Hungry

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Nov 12 2024

Was hoping for more of the guilty pleasure appeal here, but most of it is very samey and rather whiny. Best Song: In The End Worst Song: Crawling

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
Nov 14 2024

Not my cup of tea. For a band called New York Dolls, this sure oozes british slop. Best Song: Personality Crisis Worst Song: Lonely Planet Boy

Dummy by Portishead
Nov 16 2024

Gives a strange and subtly oppressive atmosphere. Its like a dark curtain lays heavy over the entire album. Lynchian. Best: Biscuit, Roads Worst: Strangers

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Nov 19 2024

The instrumentals are unremarkable, but I really cannot stand the vocalists voice. Terribly grating. Best: Rockin' Around (With You) Worst: Hometown Blues

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Dec 08 2024

Really enjoyable soul record. Stays consistent, but is lacking the extra oomph. Best Song: One More Time Worst Song: Somebody Loves Me

Heroes by David Bowie
Jan 14 2025

Its cool, although a little disjointed. Very heavy on the instrumental songs towards the end of the album, when they could perhaps been a bit more spread out. Still Bowie though, so it's still cool, and it gives you some songs that you couldn't possibly hear from another artist. Best: Heroes Worst: Blackout

Black Monk Time by The Monks
May 05 2025

Found this really annoying to be honest. I dont take much issue with the instrumentals, as I think they are alright, but the fact that every song needs this excruciating "funny voice" i do not understand. What people who hate the beatles think they sound like. Best: Monk Time (i guess) Worst: Cuckoo

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
May 06 2025

Momentous. The interludes are better than some peoples whole discographies. Sometimes, when something is as obviously great as this album is, one sort of wants to be the contrarian, but TPAB is simple undeniable. Best: Wesley's Theory / Alright Worst: Hood Politics

The Idiot by Iggy Pop
May 18 2025

Drained me of my energy for the day. If something from this popped up on the radio, i would turn the channel. As hard choosing the best song as it was the worst. Best: Worst: Funtime

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
May 23 2025

This is my bloody valentine? People like this? I kept begging for the next song and then regretting it when I got there. Awful. Best: ??? Worst: ???

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
May 27 2025

Great album with a lot of highlights. Excellent riffs. One can hear that a lot of the album has been inspired by Talking Heads, but I dont think it steps on any toes. A joy. Best: Take Me Out Worst: Cheating On You

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
May 29 2025

Absolutely fantastic. Surprised I haven't heard it before. A joy the whole way through. Best: Don't Let Him Take Your Love From Me Worst: Why Did She Have to Leave Me (Why Did She Have to Go)

Smile by Brian Wilson
Jun 04 2025

Honestly really enjoyed this. The vocal percussion is fun throughout, and the fact that he has what sounds like a whole damn orchestra on top of that makes you feel smothered in sound. In a good way. It's also such a happy album that easily put a smile on my face, which seems to have been the goal. Best: Child is the Father of the Man Worst: Vega-Tables

In The Wee Small Hours by Frank Sinatra
Jun 06 2025

He definitely has a great voice, but it's all a bit boring, innit? Has that golden age glitz all over it. Does make for good background music for an evening you simply want to put on a suit and sip whisky in front of the fireplace. Best: What is This Thing Called Love Worst: I Get Along Without You Very Well

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Jun 07 2025

Fun and the harmonizing is vocally impressive, but with the exception of california dreamin, it doesn't really reach any great heights. Best: California Dreamin' Worst: I Call Your Name

Jun 16 2025

Pretty much the exact type of rap I am not a fan of. Record scratches and rhymes that are spat right at you. Not god awful, but I probably wont listen to it again. Best: The Bomb Worst: You Can't Fade Me/JD's Gaffilin'

Liquid Swords by GZA
Jun 25 2025

Had heard this album before, but enjoyed it way more this time around. Dark and somber beats with excellent restrain in the flows and top tier performances by all the features. Best: Living in the World Today Worst: I Gotcha Back

Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective
Jul 03 2025

You know when you yawn during a song and it somehow makes the music sound just a little bit off? Thats what this whole album sounds like. Best: In the Flowers Worst: My Girls

Fragile by Yes
Jul 19 2025

A monumental prog record that still impresses with every listen. Even with the shorter breaths of air between the longer, more fundamental songs, not a moment feels wasted. Best: Roundabout Worst: Cans and Brahms

Tical by Method Man
Jul 21 2025

A damn good 90s rap album, with a consistantly dark, downtrodden feeling through the whole thing. Made me appreciate method man on a new level. Best: Bring the Pain Worst: P.L.O Style

Dookie by Green Day
Aug 02 2025

Theres nothing wrong with it for sure, and it can actually be a fun listen at times, but I did get somewhat tired of it by the end. I think theres a few too many songs, where, because theres so many, the album does not stay musically interesting the whole way through. That said, I wouldnt mind if someone queued up some songs from it at a party or something. Best: Welcome to Paradise Worst: All by Myself

Third by Soft Machine
Aug 18 2025

Great album with a very varied soundscape. Can get pretty damn wacky at times, but you just gotta love it. Best: Slightly all the Time Worst: Moon in June

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Nov 01 2025

Gorgeous album. Kiwanukas voice is careful and understated, but gives off this gruff emotion just on the verge of breaking. Gonna need me a couple of chefs to kiss here please. Best: Final Days Worst: Another Human Being
