White Ladder
David GrayStarted strong and I thought it was going to be great but was middling imo. Babylon was great and the clear standout for me, I like the musical concept of acoustic/electronica but wouldn't say it was an amazing album

Reminded me of a not funny version of the planet of the apes musical from the Simpsons
Can we suss a good one soon please
Fun vibes, evocative of an interesting era
Not really my kind of music but kept me interested, kinda like The Cure lite. Favourite song was Obvious
Broke ass MF Doom, album was a mess but there were interesting glimpses, favorite song was No. 1 St
Started strong but tailed off a bit, favourite song by far was I.G.Y, definitely better Steely Dan music though
Honestly not even my kind of music but can't deny it's really well put together, distinctive sound and some great catchy tracks. Favourites were obviously Under the Bridge, but Give it Away and Breaking the Girl also great. Would say it's too long though - a 3.5 for me
Year 12 drama production ah music - would give points for effort but feel like I've heard this kind of music done much better
Kinda boring but ok background music
It was okay - still doesn't really compute that the guys who made this music were like smashing guitars and inviting mayhem
Interesting but didn't really hold my interest - never a good sign when you hear a good one and go to check what it's called and realize it's actually Spotify shuffling similar artists after the albums finished lol
Thoroughly enjoyed the African influence, the story telling, and the big hitters like Diamond's On the Soles of Her Shoes and You Can Call Me Al. Concise and tight album, would listen again
Seriously toyed with a 5 here - enjoyed this a lot more than I expected. Simple Man, Mr Banker, Free Bird obviously and Tuesday's Gone were all excellent, will listen again
Had low expectations going in but suited the vibe for background work music. Would I listen again? No, but not because it was necessarily bad just not super interesting

Political Science was a great tongue in cheek fun song about mass genocide and there's a couple others I enjoyed but on the whole....just put the Toy Story in the bag bro
Ready Teddy and Long Tall Sally personal faves - not an album I would necessarily revisit as I feel like this era of music is best on like compilation albums to filter out stuff that wasn't super timeless, but props for fun/upbeat/inventive music
Era defining and will not be convinced otherwise
Was excited about this as had heard it was fantastic, pretty disappointed/bored unfortunately
Made me feel like I was playing spy vs spy but nothing jumped out at me
Was okay, no huge interest in listening again
Surprised at how much I enjoyed this - I initially judged an album by its cover like a fool but thought there were some excellent songs and lyricism in here. Call Me On Your Way Home and Oh My Sweet Carolina were my faves
Wokeness be damned, Hot for Teacher went stupid on this
Reminded me of a not funny version of the planet of the apes musical from the Simpsons
2 feels harsh but 3 feels generous idk, it was okay
Crazy how it's not close to being her best album and there's only one or two misses on this one, not something I'd put on but wouldn't complain about it being on as they're all good songs
Two excellent succulent slices of bread with a mediocre sandwich inside, now my heart is full and speedway go hard tho
4.5/5, such a tight album with some all time songs, great story and commentary, only thing is the last song takes slightly too long
Woke nonsense
Butter best track, all a cool vibe though
