1001 Albums Summary

I like the short to the point songs. Need more listens for the lyrics but the up-beat sound makes this album really enjoyable.

Not a single bad track on this album. The beats and samples are excellent and the lyrics carry a lot of weight. This album has all the pieces of early G-Funk. Every song compliments the one before.

This is a pretty good album by a band I was not aware of. They Kind of bridge the gap between Weezer and Radiohead which is very odd. Heroin is so Passe.

Never listened to Bjork. It was weird, in a good way.

Never listened to Public Enemy up to this point but, this is an absolutely excellent album. Cutting lyrics that go with a great beat.

Arguably the best Beatles album. This album does not have a single bad song. It manages to sound experimental while still having great pop/rock sound.

Its Okay, probably need more listens to truly process it all. Nothing pops out to me.

Better than I thought it would be. Songs kind of mesh with the distinctive sound but it is an overall very good album.

While not their best album, it is hard to find many prog albums better than this. Starship Trooper leads the charge, however, every song on this album hits in different way.

Extremely experimental with notes of jazz and glam rock. I do not Think it is as good as Ziggy Stardust but it is very good.

While not their best album, if you are a fan of Celtic Punk, this album hits all the right notes. While 'Fairytale of New York' is the most standout track, there are so many great songs on this album that delivers track after track.

Easy listening. Nothing groundbreaking but this is a feel-good album that helps you relax and unwind. Great for background music.

Really only a couple good songs on here. Not bad but many of the songs sound the same

This is a top 3 Pink Floyd album of all time. Not a single miss. Every song seems to build on the one before it with a crescendo in the final minutes of Wish You Were Here. Then it lulls you into a feeling of relaxation in the first few minutes of Shine On to raise you up again and say farewell.

Very good Album from Elton John. Opens with two of his biggest songs ever followed by a few really good ones. There are a few deep tracks that are as good as any of his other stuff. Indian Sunset and All the Nasties are excellent songs with great lyrical and musical composition.

I probably need to listen to this more, but at the current moment, I don't get it.

Very good album with cutting lyrics. While they do have better albums, this one is a great jumping off point to get into R.E.M.

Bill Evans Trio has better albums. This one is good but I hope there are at least 1-2 more albums that better emulate them

Not a Death Metal Guy

The first time I ever heard the opening to Tell Me Why, I knew I was going to love this album. Many might argue that Harvest is Neil Young's greatest album, but I struggle to find a single flaw in After the Gold Rush.

While I do not believe this is Tom Waits' best album, it does give a pretty good understanding of what he is about. Every sone being met with a comedic story makes it fun, but after an hour, it can start to feel a little old. Still a very good album.
