Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Jan 14 2025

Amazing voice, very unique. Not my go to genre normally, was aware of the “hits” before listening. These I like a lot, other tracks didn’t really catch me barring maybe 1 other. Feels like the type of music I could well listen to alone, definitely deserves another few listens

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Jan 15 2025

Fast paced, I knew the hits before. Bit distracted when listening but love the singles.

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Jan 16 2025

Classic 70’s rock sound, Clapton a wizard on the guitar. Great voice, only really knew the of Layla. Sounded like Tom Jones with other singer, very good album.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jan 17 2025

A real foot tapper. Enjoyed it a lot, more 70’s rock

Veckatimest by Grizzly Bear
Jan 20 2025

Not for me, I was aware of a couple of the songs which I quite liked. I’m normally a fan of folky/acoustic style but this was little too alternative

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Jan 22 2025

I knew of the 1st track from before by Dionne Warwick, not sure a which is the original but love this version. I recognise the distinctive guitar from a sample from a Tupac song I like. Very short album but if that’s even what it’s classed as, more like an EP. Shirt and sweet, quite a mix of songs; funky and slow/sexy. 1st 2 tracks very good, slows a bit and the last song starts after too long of an intro

Aja by Steely Dan
Jan 23 2025
Fire Of Love by The Gun Club
Jan 24 2025

Enjoyed the first couple of tracks and 1 or two others. Sounded like a mix of early Kings of Leon/Rolling Stones so can see where KOL got there influences. Punky and bluesy, wasn’t a big fan of his voice though. Lacked the snarl of Caleb from KOL definitely worth a re-visit though

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Jan 25 2025

This is already a favourite, my older brother used to play this when I was growing up. Wasn’t into music as much as I am now back then so it didn’t initially grab me, he would play it all the time I eventually learned to love perhaps by force. Anyway I revisited it some years later when my love for music grew, it’s a brilliant debut album. Not many albums where every song is brilliant, barring 1 song I’m not overly keen on it’s pure ear candy.
