Moon Safari
Air
This is a pretty listen. Im not technicaly versed with electronic enough to tell distinctive signatures on what makes Air different from all the others, but its flighty, lush, optimistic to listen to. It feels like the soundtrack music to a world full of green life.

Madman Across The Water
Elton John
Decent sounding gospel record from Elton John.
That's not alot of stuff I could say about it other than it being just a collection of songs that displayed alot of Ellton's songwriting craft. It had alot of soul and gospel elements and ranged a bunch of stories of different varieties.
It's not something i care for but its still a decent record

Five Leaves Left
Nick Drake
This was a nice album. I don't remember alot of Pink Moon and I don't think I'll remember alot of Nick Drake's stuff here either. But I like his writing with the backdrop of easy listening orchestra.

Channel Orange
Frank Ocean
I like this album surprisingly a good ton! I remembered listening to blonde back then 2 years ago but never having a good grasp of the enjoyable parts of RnB. And Channel Orange is just FULL of those moments that just feel good to be in, to listen to and all that.
Mostly talking about the sound, while the lyrics are fairly sad or hazy in tone.

The Bends
Radiohead
I already listened to this album, more than once!
I've listened to it enough to become familiar with this record, and I would consider it a really great Radiohead record and one of the best albums of the 90s.
It had a perfect middle point between the sad, poignant musings and the grungy, rock sound that they still had from the previous record. The Bends is just still amazing, front to back, with a production that shoots far beyond dynamic heights or mellow lows, so that it either felt like soft cushions or hammers breaking walls when it came to the mix.

Is This It
The Strokes
This is another album that I've listened to for a million times, but its a classic.
It's a record i think about whenever I try to write songs because its songwriting is just so tantalizing, hooky, and creative.
Its a mix of blase and energetic that I didn't know was possible but so simple when executed. I am glad a record like this exists and influences alot of acts with this record's release. Every song like The Modern Age, Someday, Barely Legal or NYCC will leave an impression on your head and last long for a long long while.

Elephant
The White Stripes
A solid set of bluesy bangers. A 2000s garage rock classic full of songs that saunter and stomp hard. Jack and Meg White are such a powerhouse of writing combinations of bangers and soft crooners, and Elephant shows a level of interesting elements, while being just a simple set of 14 songs.

Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle
Bill Callahan
Personal yet artfully done folk!
Something about this record I can't describe, but the way it just saunters musically adds a touch of beauty to the lyrics Bill Callahan sings. It's nothing lush, but the words add a sense of bloom to the songs.
