Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Feb 21 2025

Never been too big on this style of music but it’s solid nonetheless

Feb 24 2025

I don’t get it and it’s not for me. I suppose we will have many more attempts to see if there’s a Bob album I become fond of. 5/10

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Feb 25 2025

I had a pretty nice time with this album. I went into it with little to no expectations and that may have allowed me to get into the groove. In the end, it has a strong start and ended on an okay note. 7/10

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Feb 26 2025

I’ll be honest I’m not the biggest fan of this style and sound of rock music so much of my time with it may be learning to listen to it. The album took a few songs to get the gears turning for me so I apologize in advance for not having the most glowing review of this classic album. Also shout out to Run Run Run for blowing out my ear drums at 10am. Favorite Song: Heroin

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Feb 28 2025

What will be the case for many artists on this list, this is my introduction to Norah Jones. Her voice is so great to me it will be what carries the score to what it is. I enjoyed my time with this album and look forward to exploring her music further. Favorite Song: Don't Know Why / Turn Me On

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Mar 04 2025

I enjoyed my time listening to this album again but unfortunately for Kirk I have to be that guy and still say that I prefer Purple Rain because I enjoy the highest of highs that album reaches over the consistency of this album. When you are comparing the best of the best, it comes down to picking favorites at the end of the day. I'm feeling a strong 9 to light 10. Favorite Songs: Slow Love / U Got The Look

Suzanne Vega by Suzanne Vega
Mar 05 2025

Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Can't say I have many thoughts about this one. Favorite Songs: Some Journey / The Queen and the Soldier

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
Mar 06 2025

Between a 7 and an 8 on this one. Favorite Songs: You Can't Quit Me Baby / Spiders and Vinegaroons

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Mar 07 2025

I’ve never been too into Smashing Pumpkins but I do enjoy a few of their songs a lot. This album definitely feels the length by the end but it’s solid for so much of the duration that I’m ultimately feeling a solid 8. Favorite Songs: Tonight, Tonight / 1979

Blackstar by David Bowie
Mar 10 2025

To this point I am only familiar with a few Bowie albums so I want to thank this album for helping continue my deep dive into his work. Favorite Songs: ★ / Lazarus

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Mar 11 2025

I love jazz and look forward to being shown the variety of offerings the genre has.

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield
Mar 14 2025

For most of it, this was a pleasant listen. I just have to ask, why is it on the list?

Mar 17 2025

Essential listening. One of my favorites, can and probably will listen to the end of my days. Favorite Songs: Time / Money / Brain Damage

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Mar 18 2025

This guy makes some pretty good music, why didn’t anyone tell me? Favorite Song: Life on Mars?

Suicide by Suicide
Mar 20 2025

Frankie isn’t enjoying this album very much

Tonight's The Night by Neil Young
Mar 21 2025

Warming up to the style but don’t see it becoming a go to anytime soon. I think a 5/5 will be an indicator that a full album finally clicked for me. Favorite Songs: Come On Baby Let’s Go Downtown / New Mama

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Mar 24 2025

Stairway to Heaven is one of the first songs I remember falling in love with. This album was one of my introductions to this time period of rock and it is likely the explanation as to how it became a favorite and why I specifically return to it when I am bored of my other favorite genres. This album definitely has my vote as the best Zeppelin album. Favorite Songs: Black Dog / Stairway to Heaven / When the Levee Breaks

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Mar 25 2025

This made me realize I haven’t heard much music from them and now I feel compelled to do a deep dive. Favorite Song: Penthouse Pauper

Fetch The Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple
Mar 26 2025

My first album with Fiona Apple and I cannot say what sound style I was expecting to hear but it was not this. Happy to share I enjoyed the album and am curious how the rest of her work sounds. Favorite Songs: Rack of His / Cosmonauts

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Mar 27 2025

Maybe I’m judging it harder than I should because I know they make better music later (or rather almost immediately with their next album) but I thought this was fine. I’m feeling a strong 6 to a light 7. Favorite Song: A Bit of Finger / Sleeping Village / Warning

BEYONCÉ by Beyoncé
Mar 28 2025

A solid album that definitely felt its length by the time I reached the end. I enjoy playing the hits more than I enjoy listening to this one cover to cover. Favorite Songs: Partition / Drunk in Love (Remix)

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Apr 01 2025

I don’t know the Stones well by albums, just by their hits so this was a nice first album to begin the deep dive into a band that’s overdue for it. Favorite Songs: Wild Horses / Can’t You Hear Me Knocking

Steve McQueen by Prefab Sprout
Apr 03 2025

I wish half stars were an option on the rating style because this one feels like a strong 7. A lot of fun songs on the tracklist made this one a breeze to listen to this morning. Favorite Songs: Faron Young / Moving the River

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Apr 04 2025

After the start this album had I was a little disappointed that it felt like it overstayed its welcome. I generally enjoyed the cover to cover listening experience but it definitely has some skips. I am interested in exploring their other albums to see if I will like their other work more. Favorite Songs: One More Robot / Sympathy 3000-21 / Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Pt. 2

Mothership Connection by Parliament
Apr 07 2025

With so much influenced from this album (including my favorite album of all time) I’m really disappointed in myself for not having listened to this previously. I knew the hits but had never cover to cover listened. I want to give it a 10 so badly but something in my mind is holding me back despite enjoying the album so much. This one is a solid 9 for me. A classic and influential, what more can you ask for from an artist? Favorite Songs: Mothership Connection (Star Child) / Give up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off the Sucker)

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Apr 08 2025

Favorite Song: A Boy Named Sue (Live)

Scott 4 by Scott Walker
Apr 10 2025

Really really strong start with The Seventh Seal but I never enjoyed another song to the same degree. Easy on the ears but I don't think this is one that will stay in my memory for long. Favorite Song: The Seventh Seal

Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada
Apr 11 2025

I found it a little too repetitive to the point that I would enjoy how songs opened but would be ready for them to end when they would have over a minute left. I could see myself trying some more albums from this group to see what else they have to offer. Favorite Song: Sixtyten

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Apr 14 2025

Had a lot of fun with this one, glad I could be introduced to this group. Favorite Songs: Thin Line / High Fidelity / One of Them

Synchronicity by The Police
Apr 22 2025

Some easy listening on this Monday morning. Favorite Songs: O My God / Every Breath You Take

Music From The Penguin Cafe by Penguin Cafe Orchestra
Apr 25 2025

A total fine album that makes me think more about the possibilities of why this is on the list and its historical significance and not about the actual listening experience. 5/10 is what I’m feeling with this one. Not bad, just not for me.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Apr 29 2025

Im conflicted about this one because it has an all time opening song and start in general but I found myself not enjoying the back half of the album which is probably why I hadn’t ever explored more than the hits with the Stripes. I’m feeling a strong 6 to a light 7. Favorite Song: Seven Nation Army

Slipknot by Slipknot
Apr 30 2025

There’s been a few albums lately that make me wish this site had a half star system so I can be more accurate with how I rate the albums. This is one that is a strong 7 / light 8 because I did feel ready to be done near the end of the album but maybe that’s because I enjoy mixing metal songs into my playlist more than I enjoy listening to it for an hour straight.

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
May 08 2025

I could get into some songs but not really the project as a whole. Favorite Songs: Jockey Full Of Bourbon / Midtown

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
May 19 2025

Favorite Songs: Lost in Music / We Are Family

American Idiot by Green Day
May 20 2025

An enjoyable listening experience to a genre of music that I enjoyed once upon a time but the feeling has passed. Favorite Songs: American Idiot / Boulevard of Broken Dreams

The Score by Fugees
May 21 2025

This album has some stone cold classics but I found it a little long to say the full album is a masterpiece. Still a great listen. Favorite Songs: Ready or Not / Killing Me Softly With His Song / The Score

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
May 27 2025

I've enjoyed and loved songs by them, some included on this album, but haven't ever really enjoyed a project front to back from them. Favorite Songs: Otherside / Californication

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Jun 03 2025

Favorite Songs: Immigrant Song / Tangerine

Dummy by Portishead
Jun 04 2025

Favorite Songs: It Could Be Sweet

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Jun 05 2025

Favorite Songs: You Oughta Know / Ironic
