Tracy Chapman
Tracy Chapmanplatitudinous, but charming. very pleasant voice and soft instrumentation.

classic
i def wanna listen again sometime
that unmistakable life is strange 2000s teen indie vibe
it's nice, but I'm not in love with anything. and not in the mood for this country americana vibe at almost any point
dr gregory house
i was impressed at the beginning - first track fucks, second track fucks... then crash. has some other highlights throughout though.
bops on bops
yeah i knew this one, it's fine, but doesn't sweep me off my feet
it's fine 🤷♂️
are you gay?
goofy. alright musically. ayn rand space opera is probably the dumbest idea I've ever heard.
i liked it, but realistically won't be coming back
some of my all time radiohead favourites on this one. feeling cliche giving out a five to them, like a typical rateyourmusic dweller - I'm not the biggest thom yorke stan out there... but there's no denying this is an amazing album
I'm guessing this is mostly here as some important historical moment or the influence on later artists. It was pleasant, there's stuff to appreciate, but I found it mostly unremarkable. Everything before the title track just feels like fluff.
in the policy of truth, tududu tududududu
maybe I'm generous but this is the first album on 1001ag that was a complete unknown to me that i really liked. great layers, great melodies, fun instrumentation.
yeah no this is going in the rotation
I was immediately skeptical at the first track but it ended up being great
has really really great moments, love the eclecticism, the soul. but it also has incredibly boring or cheesy moments. and overstays its welcome.
very nice, i will definitely spend more time with it. haven't heard them or of them before, those are the best parts of the list. i do think the general idea will stay with me longer than any particular track though
great but not the best
not for me... never was much of a thrash fan
our second bowie
come on reviewers loosen up
some dumb fun here and there, nothing much, but I expected to like it less so I guess there's that
like massive attack, first time checking out this release. still like the others more, but it was a very good listen
very nostalgic
it's nothing special. cars are cars is surprisingly dumb but even more surprisingly catchy
she can obviously sing but is it really that much of a must-hear? idk
ah fuck it i'll give it a five, I'm definitely putting in the rotation
funky
i don't feel like this is the best work from pj harvey... the highlights are strong but I just didn't enjoy the lyricism here on a lot of the songs.
should be up my alley... but it was a little too repetitive. still nice
don't get me wrong, I love it, but it def won't get as many plays as some other ones - aside from the biggest hits
it has its moments. dumb fun.but I think I will forget about it in a week.
very entertaining, loving all the breaks. 3 or 4?
already returning to this frequently, just as with some other Hole albums. very nice release
i like chameleon
actually kinda disappointed on revisiting it. my memory was coloured by the tracks i remembered well, but the rest was, well... forgettable
not for me
I feel like my mind has been poisoned by the usage of music in public. I like this, but can't help categorizing it as simply "restaurant background music".
soulless, but easy to listen to
competent and pleasant but thoroughly unremarkable
i thought the worst crime of this would be a generic take on the blues, but then also come the vocals that get grating sometimes, and the lyrics about "little girls". I'm having a bad day today, so this gets my first 1.
i expected to dislike it, the title track is so overplayed, and I'm usually not big on the cheesy hard rock with questionable horny lyrics. I'll be the first to admit, though - some of the tracks are kinda fun if you don't take them seriously. still, don't think I will ever go back to this.
historical curiosity, given the later sampling. amount of bongos sufficient for a lifetime.
platitudinous, but charming. very pleasant voice and soft instrumentation.
fun and nostalgia. if the ratings reflect how likely i am to listen again, I am obligated to give a four
📉📉📉
i like this type of music and I like icelandic musicians but for some reason sigur rós always lacked the oomph for me
decent, not gonna get more plays from me
grieving how it's unavailable on any streaming
just great all around
nothing exceptional here
