An iconic album but not one I reach for. Beyond the big songs, particularly enjoyed Something Like That

Forgot how good early Bjork is, particularly love the beat on there’s more to life that this. Definitely some moments that aren’t as successful but overall a great time

Love Bowie but struggled to get through this album. Got better towards the end but did not enjoy the first couple songs at all. Like that it’s experimental but it didn’t land for me.

A couple great moments and overall a fun listen. Unlikely to return to.

Was not aware of this album/historical significance before listening. Enjoyed it overall, especially the extra nuance of it being recorded at a festival. Some really beautiful moments and can see myself listening to for work music instead of my usual Philip Glass. Though this quote from the global reviews also feels true haha: "I feel like I'm trapped in the interstitial sections of an episode of Mister Rodger's Neighborhood."

A great album, amazing compositions and a coherent, consistent story across them all. Definitely a 5/5

Had fun with this one, definitely brought me back. A couple songs made me think of the show Charmed and the bands that would cameo at their club. Can tell it's a debut album in that it falls apart a bit towards the end, but overall really enjoyed it.

Didn’t listen to them or this vibe of Dad rock growing up so no nostalgia for it. I liked the first few songs, which had some fun riffs and dramatic moments, but then felt kind of more like elevator music as the album went on.

Great writing and vocals, enjoyed a lot of the album though didn’t love when it veered too spoken word and less lyrical. She’s of course an icon.

A fun time throughout, almost a 5 for me

The constant vibrato killed it for me, hard to get through because of that.

Yaaass, an immediate 5 for me. A nice contrast to what we’ve been listening to (much of which has been less my vibe). Good nostalgia and just a great album, a real masterclass

Best thing about this album was the cover art. Had a very hard time getting through it, had to skip some parts and got actively annoyed. Felt more like doing a bit than experimental at times

Didn’t match the album cover vibes which was a surprise. Liked it overall, more than I expected, but not a favorite.

Love Missy. Already had a few of these songs saved, added a couple more I didn’t remember. Slide was the dark horse on this album for me.

Brought me back to Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, where they used several of these songs. I can see not enjoying this album as much without those memories/framing

It’s giving Bjork mixed with Cibo Matto, a fun combo. Fun 90s vibes

A beautiful album, really hit walking along the Chicago river and later looking at the royal wedding photos.

Them Changes is a great song, otherwise felt frenetic and all over the place

Felt like a caricature. Like WWE & Fright Fest combined. Some decent guitar but the singing and lyrics are so cheesy. Easier to get through than the last album but felt repetitive and got boring.

Forgot how much I enjoyed the Coldplay early days. Not an album I revisit but enjoyed listening to it again

Listened a second time with my over the ear headphones and heard a lot more nuance and lovely moments. Some songs I really enjoyed, Like St. Elmo's Fire and Golden Hour. Overall I liked it but found some songs too repetitive and preferred the ones with lyrics. The ones without were varied and interesting, but didn't draw me in as much.

A fun album by a real genius. Some bangers on here.

Knew the first 4ish songs very well, didn't know and didn't love the rest.

Didn't love this. Many of them felt like kids songs, the kinds I used to listen to on cassette, simplistic and a bit boring now. Without You is probably the best song. One star just for the margarita scene in Practical Magic with the Coconut song.

Beautiful album, very vibey (great for movie/tv soundtracks). Felt very long though and not what I'm typically turning to.

Layla is the clear hit here. Definitely a well done album, but dragged on for me. Didn’t listen to him growing up so no nostalgia. Get why people would love this but it was just good not great for me.

Felt like I was in someone’s garage listening to their high school band jam. Fun vibes but outside of where is my mind, nothing I’m going back to.

If they had a different lead singer I maybe would've liked this, but couldn't get past Kevin's ridiculous vocals.

Surprised I didn't like this more. Only really recognized Our House. 4+20 was a standout for me. Country Girl had a high pitch noise in much of it that's horrible.

Some great 90s beats on here. Really wish the premise was different, but enjoyed the production and flows. A weird experimental album that's a refreshing contrast to the recent glut of boring guitar and garage bands.

Drive is great and generally enjoyed the rest of the album, but not a standout for me.

Like a random record in the sale bin, a wild ride that you didn’t really choose. Frenetic and could’ve done without the all the organ. Album was all over the place, only liked the last song really.

Rating higher for its influence. Know some of these songs through their covers more than the originals (Hilary Duff’s Our Lips Are Sealed for example, lol), so don’t have as much nostalgia for these. We Got The Beat is amazing, but can’t give 5 stars when Skidmarks On My Heart exists (horrible).

A great time all around. Power walking into the office really hit with this as the soundtrack. A few songs weren’t as successful as others but overall really enjoyed it.

An extra star just for Hot Dog having been in Magic Mike 2. The One probably the least bad

Keep on moving and Jazzie’s groove are fun. The vibrato on Feel Free was super annoying. Didn’t realize Little Mix had sampled from Back to Life for Bounce Back. Overall, a fun time but probably won’t be going back to

Incoherent, really difficult to get through. Just not at all for me.

Seven Nation Army still hits, but was bored by the rest of the album. Felt repetitive.

Genius of Love makes me think of Always Sunny in Philadelphia (they all dance to it in ridiculous ways)
