1001 Albums Summary

not my first listen but IS my first full-through listen, have seen LCD soundsystem perform songs from this album several times.

just come classic rock. most of the songs were pretty basic (besides the hits) but a few definitely stood out, especially the more ballad-y ones

I heard a lot more different sounds from The Smiths on this album than I had heard on their other songs I listen to. I enjoyed it, but it started to blend after a while. Not to say that's a bad thing, though!

I've already listened to this lol. I did a project on it.

love dolly, not a huge fan of country but I enjoyed it

nostalgic, EXTREMELY psychedelic - would be very fun live, definitely got me in contemplation

very epic sounding, but I was too hungover to fully grasp it

very new wave, very fun

It was good background music, only a couple songs really stood out to me though

def have some new wave influences, I can kind of hear the little details and it’s very interesting it makes me want to listen to it a second time through…maybe someday

nothing super special for me, but the songs I liked had a good beat/groove to them. otherwise not much stood out, this genre just isn’t really my thing in general
