listen to AB or some other Great pressing. It deserves its praise

I never warmed to this. Last 3 are nothing to me

Side 4 is boring ballads. Some other duds. But this is 1990. Like it or not

Like a prayer the song is a stunner. And all the other singles work great. But non singles including duet with Prince are mediocre to bad. Glad she tried though

Some is too simple (sugar spun sister) but the highs (I wanna be adored, I am the resurrection, this is the one) make this the classic it is

Incredibly flawed in the first half (long promised road aside). Second half hits all the depressing highs.

Sometimes funny, sometimes groovy, always nasty and mean (in a good way). Not going to return to it, but its reputation is valid. Funny enough, collabs with PE folk are weak tracks.

Has good elements to it. But it lacks the humor and melody of early 10cc, the popcrsft of Roxy Music, and the muscle of King Crimson. More Yes than those bands, not a positive for me

Have always liked this album. “Being Boring” and “Jealousy” make a nice bookend of slower songs. Yet it’s the faster paced songs “How Can You…” and “So Hard” that show more that PSB wit. The rest is ‘fine’ to mediocre though, and creates too much ennui. Prefer the album before (“Introspective”) and after (“Very”).

Positive: great sounding album. Creates a vibe like making an album late night on good substances with your buds Negative: at best pleasant, and at worst boring. not an album I would return to. If Crosby’s name wasn’t attached it would be a curio from the period with a small cult

Standard stuff. Couple of a good numbers but no better than most stuff you here in any bar in town

Solid soul album.

A fine album with some classics but this is not my fav Neil Young

Ok album a couple really good tracks (Single, Flipside). But other than Tracey Thorn’s soothing vocals, there is much here that would distinguish this from similar late 90s electro pop
