Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Red Hot Chili Peppersgarbage, hated it
garbage, hated it
I almost dropped out at track 9. If I hear that a song is another missy Elliott exclusive, I’ll kms
I enjoyed this! Very solid 3/5 album. I would not be offended to hear it again but unlikely I’ll ever revisit
I enjoyed this! It is maybe a bit too rock-y for me normally and there are some stinkers (seaside rendezvous I’m looking at you) + some (overplayed) greats (I’ll confess I tuned out when bohemian rhapsody played). It is really a 3.5 as I would listen to it again willingly but I’m not adding it to my library
I have always enjoyed a bit of bob dylan. It’s lovely coffee shop music. It is a four as I’ve added it to my library to vibe with.
First half much much better than second half. I don’t hate this as much as pop culture makes it seem like I might? 2/5
Perfectly fine. I’m not offended by this but I will never willingly listen to it again. Obviously smoke on water slaps
Just an exceptional album. I would own on vinyl so it is a 5/5. Sure the last track is a bit rubbish but god, something in the way is so fucking good (and yes The Batman introduced me to this)
A funny little folky album. 3/5
Shoegazey but in not a good way. Why write lyrics if you aren’t going to say them clearly? Anyway I think I disliked this more than I expected
I LOVE THIS ALBUM, it has curveballs like electronic renaissance and tender moments like Expectations (and most of the album). Teenage Harry is dancing, being reminded how to feel. Every listen I find some new little detail, I love the layered lyrics and composition. Obviously a 5/5
Oh I know nick drake! His voice is silky smooth and I think I could listen to it all day. Do I remember any of the particular songs? No! Do I care? Also no! This album made me feel calm and soothed. 4/5
Calming, gentle, second half very forgettable (although maybe that’s because I was locked in on spreadsheets)
Meh? I think Groove Is In The Heart is where their quirkiness works, whereas elsewhere it doesn’t quite line up
Way too fucking long. I actually don’t hate the vibe so it would be a 3/5 if it was actually edited!! Pristeen & Hanging Out and Hung Up on the Line stood out. But 2/5 because it wore down my soul.
Stairway to heaven is the only one that truly stayed with me, otherwise a bit meh? 2/5
This is fun! I enjoyed it
His covers of Hurt (obviously), First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and Bridge Over Troubled Waters are so damn good but second half faded into obscurity for me. Solid 3/5.
Full disclosure that I couldn’t commit to two hours of listening. But what I have listened to (basically the ones marked as popular by Apple) were good! It’s a fun concept
I just didn’t vibe with this at all (would accept partially because of my preoccupied mental state) so maybe 1/5? I just didn’t care for it
The boss! I enjoyed this- obviously knew born in the USA & dancing in the dark but the rest of the album was enjoyable but didn’t stick in my mind
I just do not enjoy incoherent shouting over loud sounds it turns out
I didn’t fully vibe with this - a little too much weird instrumentals for my taste. But would I object to listening to this again? No
Started fine but just devolved into noise
Great first four tracks and then………. Just a bit meh?
Yeahhhhhhh boyyyyyyyyyyyy! 🤘 🤘 🤘
Yeah starts good, it petered out for me. 3/5 because I would have it on the background
A truly great album that is somewhat tarnished because Win Butler is a sex pest. This was easy for me as Arcade Fire is my problematic fave but I haven’t listened to this album for a good 3 years… 5/5
Meh
I just… what?? I did listen all the way through but honestly this just made no sense to me.
I really enjoyed this - it felt more like a compilation than an album as the songs seemed to bounce around genres etc but yes good!
I enjoyed this way more than I expected!!
Not my favourite Beatles (I’m an early Beatles kinda guy) and the drums keep it tight before it gets *really* weird. But yeah cracking album
sure, fine?
I enjoyed this! I think minus a few stars because uh oh some pretty yikes-y lyrcis
god what a boring album?
Meh… nothing majorly grabbed me tbh
Love this album. Way more fun than I thought as I definitely expect ELO to be a bit like Monty Python/ABBA in that you know the hits but the duds are big misses. But! Pleasantly surprised!
Just wasn’t very good……….
Ok I fully expected based on the cover art to hate this…. But! It was actually pretty good?
Two good songs… which are the well known ones. Otherwise quite meh!
yeah fine, it didn’t grip me particularly. Fully expected the last song to go into brown eyed girl lol
I mean… no, I hated it. I can see how it MAYBE lead the way for people like Adele, Raye, Dido etc but also… it’s not very good AT ALL.
Started off good but then just got boring
LOTS OF MEN SHOUTING, I didn’t hate it but also didn’t care for it
40 mins of Our House? Sure, good, enjoyable
garbage, hated it
Yeah I can see why they are a one hit wonder
