Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Oct 01 2025

Pretty blues-ey, pretty sexy, great vocals.

Lost Souls by Doves
Oct 02 2025

Quite somber and melancholic. A+ for looking out the bus window pretending you're in the music video. Good listen overall.

Phaedra by Tangerine Dream
Oct 03 2025

Found it mediocre, even though I like tangerine dream. Did not see the connection the Pheadra, probably my fault. Too reductive for my taste.

Architecture And Morality by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Oct 04 2025

Pretty cool album, fresh (at least for its time) electronic sound. Fav Lyrics: Joan of Arc Fav Music: Georgia Fav Song Overall: Georgia

The Slider by T. Rex
Oct 05 2025

Placeholder, will listen to it later.

Oct 06 2025

Good listen, but I feel with Fatboy Slim you need to do extreme reading between the lines to find anything other than pure entertainment.

Purple Rain by Prince
Oct 07 2025

Did not know what to expect, but I got a great album. To the point where I think Purple Rain might be the worst song on the album. Ok maybe not quite, but it was both dancey and atmospheric, and I didn't know you could do that.

In Utero by Nirvana
Oct 08 2025

Pretty solid, not their best. I think I like nirvana when they're a bit more raw and rough around the edges. Fav lyrics: Dumb Fav music: Heart shaped box Fav overall: Rape me

Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers
Oct 09 2025

How can a band sound both goth and new-wave rock? This album was so good I regretted not listening to it earlier. Powerful, colorful, and sharp; at least 3 things an album should be.

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Oct 11 2025

Quite noisy, although I can see it being ahead of its time when it came out. Nothing special though, seemed like an experimentation rather than something with motive behind it.

Oct 12 2025

Very upbeat and energetic. Felt the vibes pick me up, but I could not make out most of the lyrics. Fav songs: Too Much Spice & Bed of Nails

Oct 13 2025

Really funky, as it should. Great listen, not boring, and at least as political as it should be. Fav lyrics: Promentalshitbackwashpsychosis Fav music: Who says a funk band can't play rock Honorable mention: Maggot brain

Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy
Oct 14 2025

Good listen, very gothy, and I enjoyed the fact it was not too long. Fav lyrics : Lucretia my reflection Fav music: Dominion/Mother Russia Fav song: Dominion/Mother Russia Honorable mention: Never Land

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Oct 15 2025

It was good, not great not terrible. Fav lyrics: Ballad of Mott the Hoople Fav music: Ballad of Mott the Hoople Fav overall: Ballad of Mott the Hoople

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Oct 16 2025

Loved it! Great band, great album. I like their unique tone, they're a band with character. Fav lyrics: Disarm Fav music: Cherub rock Fav song: Today

We're Only In It For The Money by The Mothers Of Invention
Oct 18 2025

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G It was an experience. Frank Zappa was a genius of its time. Clever, funny, political, irreverend, random, and fresh. Fav lyrics: What's the ugliest part of your body Fav music: Flower punk Fav song overall: Take your clothes off when you dance

With The Beatles by Beatles
Oct 19 2025

Classic prepaychedelic Beatles. Enjoyable, digestible, and rock & roll-y. Still not good as love me do, but a diamond of early beatles nonetheless. I don't think anyone is doing silly love lyrics as good as they did.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Oct 20 2025

Didn't really get Bob Dylan before this. Great example of good folk music, with unique story-telling through some original yet comfy lyrics, and Dylan's special take on folk music to accompany them.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Oct 21 2025

Quite ethereal, but not the best thing in the world.

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Oct 24 2025

Really felt like oxygene, giving live but causing fires as well.

Teen Dream by Beach House
Oct 25 2025

Not my cup of tea, so I wasn't paying too much attention tbh. Ig it was good for background music.

Water From An Ancient Well by Abdullah Ibrahim
Oct 26 2025

Some songs sounded like christmas songs, while others were more somber. It was more classic jazz than free jazz, but I don't think that's a good characteristic. Enjoyable listen though.

Oct 27 2025

Too country for me. I could also appreciate the album for the music maybe, if it wasn't for those run of the mill stupid lyrics. Not my cup of tea.

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
Oct 28 2025

The Y2Kest cover for the Y2Kest album. Enjoyable and light, although a bit repetitive. I'd like to rate it higher for its replayability, but I have to confess the depth wasn't there; it is background music, it just happens to be great at it.

Homework by Daft Punk
Oct 29 2025

The first third of this album is so lukewarm that I was almost disappointed. Luckily, it soon became apparent why daft punk is greatest electronic band. Very special and fresh pieces, both harder and softer. I am totally biased, but I don't care.

Oct 30 2025

I'd almost like to hate on this album, but I honestly can't. Such power, it was a breeze of fresh cold air blowing away any stagnation. Despite how pop it was, I still believe it's a masterfully written album.

So Much For The City by The Thrills
Oct 31 2025

Interesting piece. A bit too generic for my taste, but that's not necessarily that bad. The lyrics were hit or miss.

Heroes by David Bowie
Nov 01 2025

Great album, obviously, but its second half was a bit weaker than its first. Favourite song was Sons of the Silent Age, despite Heroes being in the album.

Bluesbreakers by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
Nov 02 2025

The bluesiest of the blues. Can't say it challenges the form too much, or that it diverges from the center of the curve. Enjoyable if you like blues, but that's about it.

Garbage by Garbage
Nov 03 2025

I should listen to more "Garbage". Both energetic and mysterious, great compositions, and honestly, some of the best lyrics so far. Highly recommend.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Nov 05 2025

Very interesting indie album. Great conpositions, warm lyrics, but it was a bit too long and "filler" at some points. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I'll keep it in the back of my mind

Sister by Sonic Youth
Nov 06 2025

Vibes were good, lyrics were better, but overall I wasn't crazy about it. Maybe it needs another listen in the future.

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Nov 07 2025

Very weird mysterious latin music. Parts of it sounded like psych rock, other parts sounded like Tarantino soundtracks if Quentin was from Rio De Janeiro, and some parts were similar to weird wave Probably not going back to it, but interesting listen nonetheless.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Nov 09 2025

Small and sweet. Pretty average, some good melodies here and there, but tbh nothing worth losing sleep over.

Metal Box by Public Image Ltd.
Nov 11 2025

Title checks out. Best industrial electronic music out there. Maybe not the best, but still.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Nov 12 2025

Great psychedelic rock album. It had everything that something close to a psychedelic experience should have.

Moby Grape by Moby Grape
Nov 13 2025

Normal bluesy 60s. Not crazy for it, but what you hear is what you get. I guess paired with a beer it sounds nice.

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Nov 14 2025

Feeling actually sad I missed that concert. Warm jazz, and stirred up feelings. The songs were soothing the feelings they stirred up in the first place.

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Nov 18 2025

Well, I didn't expect a band with such a lame name to make such a great album. It was a very melancholic but warm vibe. It felt like travelling to a new place, while also being at home. Will definitely give it another listen. Until then, it kind of made my day.

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Nov 25 2025

Funk, but almost in a weird way. Liked it more than a normal funk album because of that.

Actually by Pet Shop Boys
Nov 30 2025

Liked it more than expected. Good melodies, and surprisingly good lyrics for electronic music, but it was the 80s after all.

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Dec 04 2025

Classic, but also has some hidden gems. I'm pretty sure these guys are from California

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Dec 06 2025

Great album, great energy, ok lyrics. The vibe is there though, very uplifting, and -hate to admit it- irrotatingly catchy, in a good way.

Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Dec 07 2025

Great atmospheric album. Liked the production, and the lyrics too. Probably need another, more careful listen, to appreciate it fully.

American Idiot by Green Day
Dec 08 2025

This one's a classic, and hearing it today makes me feel weird. I do appreciates songs that have gotten older along with me, but I believe it was more a product of its age than a timeless piece of art. It's commercialized punk, which is the worst kind of punk, and it wants so bad to be more than it is. Sadly, I think that, like me, this album has aged a bit badly. If it was any other album it would have gotten a 2, but I'm giving it a +1 for nostalgia reasons and because I can't deny that the music on it is actually catchy, plus there are some hidden gems.

Another Green World by Brian Eno
Dec 13 2025

Not what I was expecting tbh, so I don't know If I did really not like it or I was just disappointed. I think my problem with it was how reductive it was most of the time, which is not klmy cup of tea. Although it was an interesting listen, I don't think I'll be coming back to it.

Dec 15 2025

First of all it was waaay too long (maybe it seemed like it because it's not the type of music I usually listen to. Songs were hit or miss, even though I can appreciate the talent and work behind a more progressive work of art like this. All in all, I think I can see some objectively good things, like interesting composition, themes, and lyrics, it's just not fit for me.

Venus Luxure No. 1 Baby by Girls Against Boys
Dec 17 2025

Wish more albums were like this. Powerful, energetic, fresh. The track listing was great, and I think there was not a bad song in there. Missed some lyrics here and there because of the effects, but that almost added to the atmosphere.

Dec 18 2025

One of the best fitting album titles. It was not something totally crazy, but it is a very coherent album. You can feel yourself loving people a little bit more after listening to it.

My Generation by The Who
Jan 03 2026

Great album, although tbh I expected more complicated compositions. Despite that, enjoyable listen, fun AND smart lyrics, and pretty traditional UK bluesy rock, reminiscent of early beatles with the Who's even more energetic signature.

Vivid by Living Colour
Jan 09 2026

Great overall, good music, amazing lyrics, and exceptional energy. Worth it all the way. The way funk is incorporated into hard rock in such a seamless way is a testament to this band's talent.

Face to Face by The Kinks
Jan 13 2026

Enjoyable 60s, with a few more psychedelic tones here and there. All around great album, will definitely give it another listen.

Cafe Bleu by The Style Council
Jan 15 2026

Not your usual album regarding compositions and tone, but it is quite unique in its boheme style.

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Apr 21 2026

Enjoyed it, fun listen, but not exactly my style. Would listen to it again tho no problem.
