This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
Oct 16 2025

Nice, simple fun listen, but I don't see myself coming back to it very often, if at all. Pretty basic stuff, but still interesting to see where rock was at before it really came into what it's perceived as today.

Harvest by Neil Young
Oct 18 2025
Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Oct 22 2025

This is one of those albums with enough great elements to make you wish it were a good album, but unfortunately, it isn't. There are so many glimmers of greatness sprinkled throughout it that it makes me mad that the album as a whole is so grating and repetitive

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Oct 29 2025

I get the appeal, but just not for me. She's an amazing singer with a great band, but I've never liked the sound of those vibrato-filled vocals, and there's not a vast amount of variety to keep it interesting, and that's kind of everything from vocal jazz to my ears. Just my opinion, though. Not trying to bash it, cause people who love this kind of stuff will be blown away, but it's just not my thing

Sail Away by Randy Newman
Nov 02 2025

Pretty high 2 to pretty low 3. Feel like I could get into it, but wasn't feeling it on first listen

Want One by Rufus Wainwright
Nov 10 2025

It's ok, but it's pretty inconsiqunetial. Feels like the soundtrack to a musical that doesn't go anywhere

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Nov 11 2025

Frank, pass me the pork roll egg and cheese if you please

Sister by Sonic Youth
Nov 13 2025
Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Nov 14 2025

Not a pleasant experience, but in a good way.

War by U2
Nov 15 2025
Don't Stand Me Down by Dexys Midnight Runners
Nov 16 2025

I kinda wish there was a half-star option, but I guess I'll round up to a 4. I'm definitely glad I checked it out, but I really don't see why it's on the list. It's enjoyable, and the band is pretty idiosyncratic, but there's nothing so groundbreakingly special that makes it a "must-listen."

Cut by The Slits
Nov 19 2025

2 1/2, but I'll round up to 3 for giggles

Marquee Moon by Television
Nov 20 2025

Top 3, if not top 1 best album on this list, if not all time

Nov 21 2025

Feels like a parody of everything late 90s. Not meant to be taken seriously. I feel like it could be a bit shorter, but the whole thing is still really fun. Kinda reminds me of Moby's album Play, but with humor

Nixon by Lambchop
Nov 23 2025
Scott 2 by Scott Walker
Nov 28 2025

It's disturbing in a Black Midi sort of way, but smooth in a Frank Sinatra sort of way. It's really interesting. Masterpiece

Unhalfbricking by Fairport Convention
Dec 05 2025

I liked Liege and Lief, but this is way more enjoyable in my opinion. Also love the cover

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Dec 07 2025

very high 4

New Wave by The Auteurs
Dec 11 2025

3 1/2. Not quite a 4, not quite a 3. It kinda alternates from great song to ok song. I'll round up to a 4 cause there really are some great songs on it, and it's good to focus on the good :)

Apocalypse Dudes by Turbonegro
Dec 12 2025

I love music that's just the artists having a bunch of fun being their kickass selves

Tommy by The Who
Dec 13 2025

I love The Who, amazing band. Hate almost everything about this album though. Almost every track is filler and the story is super confusing and pretentious (not in the typical charming Who way)

Live! by Fela Kuti
Dec 20 2025

Probably my favorite album I've discovered from this (so far)

Elephant by The White Stripes
Dec 27 2025
Talk Talk Talk by The Psychedelic Furs
Dec 28 2025

Why does the US insist on changing the tracklist for so many albums? The US version sounds so out of order, it's actually insane. No fault of the album itself, though. Nice music, nice tunes, I dig. Not much overly *special* though
