My first introduction to 80s synth-pop and I loved it. I found some of the tracks in the middle to be a bit boring, but the last two songs redeemed the whole album.

The name Jimi Hendrix has been familiar to me since I was very young. My dad saw Jimi Hendrix live in 1968 and still wears an old Jimi Hendrix t-shirt. I never listened to any music my dad enjoyed because I thought it was too “adult” and “sophisticated” and not something I’d enjoy whatsoever. This album is very much one of the reasons why I’m grateful I started this 1001 Albums project because I’ve discovered new music that I’d never in a million years think I’d actually like.
