Cross by Justice

I enjoyed the first bit of the album, but fell off as the sound became harder towards the end. I can understand why this may have helped define electronic music, but not my cup of tea.

Transformer by Lou Reed
Dec 25 2025

I feel like this album some good songs and some filler ones. If it had a few more songs I really enjoyed, I’m sure I’d be a 4.

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Dec 29 2025

While this isn't the most amazing album I have ever listened to, in terms of lyrics or concept, the sound of this album is amazing. I feel like song transitions and atmosphere are perfect.

With The Beatles by Beatles
Dec 30 2025

The Beatles are a classic. This album isn’t the most popular, to my knowledge but it still has their sound.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Dec 31 2025

This is my first listen to Leonard Cohen. I enjoyed it, but it is a new sound for me! His voice is the focal point and the context of the album as he is at the end of his life over a good listen.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Jan 05 2026

The beastie boys are an original rap group. I enjoyed it but it wasn’t an over the top enjoyment.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Jan 06 2026

The beastie boys are an original rap group. I enjoyed it but it wasn’t an over the top enjoyment.

Abraxas by Santana
Jan 07 2026

Black magic woman is a classic but the album was great. This feels like a great album but also a great showing of classic rock.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jan 09 2026
Diamond Life by Sade
Jan 12 2026

Honestly, get why it’s a classic. Fantastic mix of soul, jazz. You can feel her emotion in the way she sings.

Jan 13 2026

Classic album from growing up. It has some of the most well known songs. The album a whole is good, but those singles are even better.

Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper
Jan 14 2026

I get why it’s a classic rock album and on this list. Some great songs but not my favorite album/band.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jan 19 2026

Solid album with some classics! Really enjoyed it!

xx by The xx
Jan 20 2026

Solid album and was popular when I was younger. Overall, a great sound and a start for a lot of indie information.

All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot
Jan 22 2026

Good album! Not my favorite genre, but I really enjoyed some of it and some of it I did not care for.

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Jan 23 2026

Great album and classic/hardcore rock? It seems to be a classic album and i get why people love it. The use of guitar alone is amazing and full of sound. I enjoyed and will come back it.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Jan 27 2026

I liked a lot of the songs off this album. You get a lot of the Jimi Hendrix experience and the guitarist he was. There are some songs that are 10/10, but some others that feel like filler. Overall, I feel like this album isn't the most amazing maybe 3.25-3.75/10. I am going to give it a 3, because I think the album itself feels scattered versus being cohesive. I think I would give it a 3.5 if I could.

BEYONCÉ by Beyoncé
Jan 28 2026

There’s a lot of bangers on here and shows who Beyoncé was. There was just some songs I wasn’t vibing with or didn’t enjoy as much.

Revolver by Beatles
Jan 29 2026

I get why this is a top album. It’s got some great hits and is just overall a very cohesive fun album!!

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Feb 02 2026

I really enjoyed this album. It was a great listen from start to finish and my first full intro to ZZ Top! It was a fantastic album and I enjoyed it a lot. I just wish Spotify didn’t have the live songs at the end of it.

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Feb 03 2026

I don’t know if anything needs to be said about this one. It’s an amazing album.

Kid A by Radiohead
Feb 10 2026

I like this album a lot. But I also am biased due to knowing a lot more about its influence than have listened to it. Is it a 5 for me? Maybe it’s a 4.5 but I think it deserves 5.

Cross by Justice
Feb 13 2026

I enjoyed the first bit of the album, but fell off as the sound became harder towards the end. I can understand why this may have helped define electronic music, but not my cup of tea.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Feb 16 2026

I enjoyed this album a lot. Has a few songs that I did not realize were written by Smashing Pumpkins. I would go back and listen to this a lot. A solid grunge and rock album.

Dummy by Portishead
Feb 17 2026

Solid album.

En-Tact by The Shamen
Feb 18 2026
Guero by Beck
Feb 20 2026
Play by Moby
Feb 23 2026

I enjoyed it and know it is one of the best-selling electronic albums.

Life's Too Good by The Sugarcubes
Feb 25 2026

It's okay. I am learning that early Electronica isn't my favorite genre. It's a fine album, but not my cup of tea.

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Feb 26 2026

i want to rate this a 4.5 because it's an amazing album. The album and songs are all iconic, but I want to save the 5's for truly the best of the best. I think this is almost there but has lost it with time.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Mar 02 2026

I really enjoyed this album. The sound of soft rock is great allowing it to be an enjoyable, but also a great listen while working. Glad I can appreciate Steely Dan more than when I was younger.

Mar 03 2026

A lot of the messaging of this album hasn't aged well. Not every song is a banger, but the life of this album has prolonged through hip-hop/rap. I think the enduring nature of this album lifts it up, even if not every song is the greatest of all time. Straight Outta Compton is still a blueprint for music today.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Mar 05 2026

I like some of the songs on the album but not the biggest fan of Neil Young’s voice or duration of songs.

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Mar 10 2026

This album has stood the test of time. It has defined a generation and help blend nu-metal into the populus. Overall, the album is great and I enjoy most of the songs. There are 1 or 2 I am no the biggest fan of, but it is overall a fantastic album.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Mar 12 2026

I enjoyed a lot of the classic songs that I knew well. As an album, I think there are bits when it is too repetitive. Overall I enjoyed it, but I think it's a middle of the road album.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Mar 16 2026

The album was a fun vibe.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Mar 17 2026

I enjoyed this album overall. I thought it had some great sound, and I enjoyed the rustiness of Janice’s voice.

461 Ocean Boulevard by Eric Clapton
Mar 18 2026

There’s no denying that Eric Clapton is an amazing guitarist. There’s also a lot that he’s not a great person in general. This album combines his guitar skills and a genre that doesn’t necessarily see him. And there is potentially something to be said about the white washing in this album with the reggae undertones overall, I think it’s an OK album, Eric Clapton isn’t the best person in the world/she’s kind of not a great person, and it just doesn’t seem to be the best Work.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Mar 19 2026

Overall, I really enjoyed the album. Coldplay definitely has a distinct sound that you can sometimes love and sometimes Haight, but this album just really shows them and really shows their impact on music currently.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Mar 20 2026

Elvis has an iconic sound even in his debut album. This album really shows who Elvis was and the reasons that he would go through and breakthrough in music. The album is enjoyable and great, and a lot of the songs are classics, particularly blue, suede shoes, but this album being all covers does take a bit away from the master that is Elvis. I think that this is an iconic and great album and I love the sound. I love Elvis. I love that he debuted with this and that this is what started just who he was, and how you changed the music and the scope of what popular music it was, but I do wish it was more original songs from him, which we will get later in his discography, but that doesn’t take away that this is probably one of the best debut albums of all time
