More amazing songs on here than I realised

This really didn't feel like any Prince I'd heard before, then I realised it was his ninth album? Very different, had elements I like but not sure it's one I'll listen to often

Interesting, another one I'd heard before but nothing new stood out. Always liked the rock opera album and a couple songs I hadn't listened to in years

Knew Sunshine of your love pretty well but haven't explored the album, the only song that really hit me though on this was the Ulysses one? Good to explore, probably my least favourite so far though

Foo Fighters kind of missed me when I was getting into music, they were big for a lot of school friends but I was into a different genre. Knowing that this was their first album shortly about Cobain's death, it makes sense but there isn't really a big single in there for me. Cool to listen to considering the context though, would definitely like to try more Foo in the future

It's hard for me to listen to Reggae stuff because it was on all the time growing up and I wasn't a fan. This album however has some great riffs and showed me a different side, especially as again, only know the real big hits from Bob Marley. Fun listen, probably won't be regular though

So I'd never heard of Joni Mitchell? Interesting to read about her, not my kind of album but I liked how different this was to everything else I'd been recommended so far! Good for a history lesson

Good option today, mostly due to knowing Dreaming of You really well so it was cool to listen to the rest of the album. Wasn't any other highlights for me there right now but I'll listen again for sure

I've heard many jazz songs or jazz-inspired songs, but not listened to an album like this, especially during that era. Really interesting to listen to, especially after reading the wiki about Duke. Need to listen to again when I'm feeling it more

This didn't quite get me hooked on anything? Interesting to listen to, nice vibe, but like no song in there I was like "I have to get that in my liked songs!" which is a shame

Had some real Rush vibes which I loved? Honestly cool album, different, not what I pictured with Genesis?

Meatloaf is not for me lol. Looooong songs, a bit same-y? Veeeery sexual. There was a couple I quite liked though

Didn't know anything about New Order, still probably don't tbh, didn't have any standouts for me sadly! Listened to the whole thing though, wasn't unpleasant lol

I'm really enjoying this album? It's proper classic English, chill listening with some real funk and rock elements in it? Super addictive, one of my favourite discoveries so far

I've always had this pop up on my recommended but not really fully listened to it? I love AM but unfortunately this wasn't it for me? Rhythms are so similar between each song and AT doesn't do enough to interest me on vocals. Real shame!

God yes finally my first 5 star! This album is probably one of my most listened to for a good number of years, it was instrumental I think in my transition to slower genres of rock and indie. This was also the album that got me into The Black Keys. I absolutely love it and every track is brilliant! So good to listen to it again after a good while

This is going to need multiple listens, but I was pretty blown away with the lyrical writing. I'm not sure I've listened to Leonard Cohen before? But it was a big surprise tbh. Definitely going to have a few more listen throughs, really good recommendation

Was interesting to read about, but no headline Radiohead songs for me here? And I loved Radiohead back in my late teens and early 20s? Never listened to that album though, fun to try out!

Biggest highlight for me with this album, the bassist? I definitely need to look up who did bass for Duran Duran! Fun to listen to

Never heard The Rolling Stones first album? Beatles vibes for sure, fun to listen to! Also, the Rolling Stones wrote I Just Wanna Make Love to You?!

Enjoyed it more than I thought it would, definitely wasn't like the pop stereotype I thought it'd be? Interesting lyrics, instruments and vibe. There was actually a song or two in there I'd definitely listen to again

Didn't know about the Roots before this, including that they were the house band for Jimmy Fallon? Interesting again to listen to even when it's so far out of what I'd normally listen to

Interesting listen, especially after reading about the disappearance shortly after. Still got more to do. Manic definitely isn't my style of rock but maybe I'll discover some me songs through it
