Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters kind of missed me when I was getting into music, they were big for a lot of school friends but I was into a different genre. Knowing that this was their first album shortly about Cobain's death, it makes sense but there isn't really a big single in there for me. Cool to listen to considering the context though, would definitely like to try more Foo in the future

Omg this album was sooo good, it had so much nostalgia of tracks I've absolutely heard back in the day. Multiple ones added to my likes list. So good!

We Are Family by Sister Sledge

Amazing, so many added to my liked songs. What an album, only wished it was longer lol

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Jan 06 2026

This really didn't feel like any Prince I'd heard before, then I realised it was his ninth album? Very different, had elements I like but not sure it's one I'll listen to often

Tommy by The Who
Jan 07 2026

Interesting, another one I'd heard before but nothing new stood out. Always liked the rock opera album and a couple songs I hadn't listened to in years

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Jan 08 2026

Knew Sunshine of your love pretty well but haven't explored the album, the only song that really hit me though on this was the Ulysses one? Good to explore, probably my least favourite so far though

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Jan 09 2026

Foo Fighters kind of missed me when I was getting into music, they were big for a lot of school friends but I was into a different genre. Knowing that this was their first album shortly about Cobain's death, it makes sense but there isn't really a big single in there for me. Cool to listen to considering the context though, would definitely like to try more Foo in the future

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jan 10 2026

It's hard for me to listen to Reggae stuff because it was on all the time growing up and I wasn't a fan. This album however has some great riffs and showed me a different side, especially as again, only know the real big hits from Bob Marley. Fun listen, probably won't be regular though

The Hissing Of Summer Lawns by Joni Mitchell
Jan 11 2026

So I'd never heard of Joni Mitchell? Interesting to read about her, not my kind of album but I liked how different this was to everything else I'd been recommended so far! Good for a history lesson

The Coral by The Coral
Jan 12 2026

Good option today, mostly due to knowing Dreaming of You really well so it was cool to listen to the rest of the album. Wasn't any other highlights for me there right now but I'll listen again for sure

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Jan 13 2026

I've heard many jazz songs or jazz-inspired songs, but not listened to an album like this, especially during that era. Really interesting to listen to, especially after reading the wiki about Duke. Need to listen to again when I'm feeling it more

Brown Sugar by D'Angelo
Jan 14 2026

Fun album, basically a whole album dedicated to baby maker songs?

Live! by Fela Kuti
Jan 15 2026

This was 70s dude, definitely need to listen to this again

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Jan 16 2026

Great album, so much nostalgia for me in this! Lots of great nights out lol. Some songs I hadn't heard in years, need to go through and save some

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Jan 17 2026

Good to educate myself on lots of little bits id heard before but not known it was from this album?

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Jan 18 2026

Interesting album, short but very listenable, really gave a vibe of like noire style detective music? I will listen to it again for sure

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Jan 19 2026

Heard a few covers in my time of these songs, some had a Beatles vibe that I genuinely thought was from them? Good to learn about

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Jan 20 2026

This didn't quite get me hooked on anything? Interesting to listen to, nice vibe, but like no song in there I was like "I have to get that in my liked songs!" which is a shame

Jan 21 2026

Had some real Rush vibes which I loved? Honestly cool album, different, not what I pictured with Genesis?

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jan 22 2026

Meatloaf is not for me lol. Looooong songs, a bit same-y? Veeeery sexual. There was a couple I quite liked though

Low-Life by New Order
Jan 23 2026

Didn't know anything about New Order, still probably don't tbh, didn't have any standouts for me sadly! Listened to the whole thing though, wasn't unpleasant lol

Station To Station by David Bowie
Jan 24 2026

Fun to listen to! Not as big as Ziggy for me but some songs here I know and like!

New Boots And Panties by Ian Dury
Jan 25 2026

I'm really enjoying this album? It's proper classic English, chill listening with some real funk and rock elements in it? Super addictive, one of my favourite discoveries so far

The Age Of The Understatement by The Last Shadow Puppets
Jan 26 2026

I've always had this pop up on my recommended but not really fully listened to it? I love AM but unfortunately this wasn't it for me? Rhythms are so similar between each song and AT doesn't do enough to interest me on vocals. Real shame!

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jan 27 2026

God yes finally my first 5 star! This album is probably one of my most listened to for a good number of years, it was instrumental I think in my transition to slower genres of rock and indie. This was also the album that got me into The Black Keys. I absolutely love it and every track is brilliant! So good to listen to it again after a good while

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jan 28 2026

Blondie had soooo many bangers all in the same album!

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Jan 29 2026

Really surprised me, it had an early Bob Dylan vibe to it? Nebraska was such a good song! I honestly really was shocked, loved it

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Jan 30 2026

Really varied voice and vibe range, never listened to the Doors before

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Jan 31 2026

Sooo many good songs I never knew were tears for fears in this! Everybody wants to rule the world instantly went on my likes, what a song. Really enjoyed this one

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Feb 01 2026

This is going to need multiple listens, but I was pretty blown away with the lyrical writing. I'm not sure I've listened to Leonard Cohen before? But it was a big surprise tbh. Definitely going to have a few more listen throughs, really good recommendation

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Feb 02 2026

Was interesting to read about, but no headline Radiohead songs for me here? And I loved Radiohead back in my late teens and early 20s? Never listened to that album though, fun to try out!

Rio by Duran Duran
Feb 03 2026

Biggest highlight for me with this album, the bassist? I definitely need to look up who did bass for Duran Duran! Fun to listen to

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
Feb 04 2026

Never heard The Rolling Stones first album? Beatles vibes for sure, fun to listen to! Also, the Rolling Stones wrote I Just Wanna Make Love to You?!

Feb 05 2026

Enjoyed it more than I thought it would, definitely wasn't like the pop stereotype I thought it'd be? Interesting lyrics, instruments and vibe. There was actually a song or two in there I'd definitely listen to again

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
Feb 06 2026

Soooo different and fun, loved this! More crazy punk please

Synchronicity by The Police
Feb 07 2026

Fun one, not a vibe I'd match with what I thought the Police was like? Couple in there I need to listen to again for sure. Gave me Rush vibes?

Phrenology by The Roots
Feb 08 2026

Didn't know about the Roots before this, including that they were the house band for Jimmy Fallon? Interesting again to listen to even when it's so far out of what I'd normally listen to

The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers
Feb 09 2026

Interesting listen, especially after reading about the disappearance shortly after. Still got more to do. Manic definitely isn't my style of rock but maybe I'll discover some me songs through it

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Feb 10 2026

Mr Blue Sky on this album? What an album!

Peter Gabriel 3 by Peter Gabriel
Feb 11 2026

Very Peter Gabriel, lots of glockenspiel, didn't really wow me

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Feb 12 2026

The most different thing I've listened to so far on this list, good different for sure. Enriching but not something I'm going to come back to regularly sadly!

Feb 13 2026

Omg this album was sooo good, it had so much nostalgia of tracks I've absolutely heard back in the day. Multiple ones added to my likes list. So good!

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Feb 14 2026

Amazing, so many added to my liked songs. What an album, only wished it was longer lol

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Feb 15 2026

Great vibe, very soul and funky. Something I could definitely get in the mood for every now and then!

Ten by Pearl Jam
Feb 16 2026

Lots of songs I've loved on here for years but I've never listened to the whole album? So good and so good to remind myself of PJ!

Feb 17 2026

Loved this album since I was like 15? So good to hear it again after so long and add some liked songs too!

Deloused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta
Feb 18 2026

Haven't listened to it enough yet but pretty fun, different rock for sure?

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Feb 19 2026

Knackered after big trip and tattoos but I will definitely listen to this soon! I'm gonna give it like what I think I'd rate it against Tommy I guess?

Kenya by Machito
Feb 20 2026

Honestly could be a great movie soundtrack? Need to listen more to detect the afro-cuban inspirations but it's great Jazz!

In Utero by Nirvana
Feb 21 2026

Always a great album, amazing songs, just need to listen to it more to hear the less well-known ones

Feb 22 2026

Haven't listened to yet due to holidays, super interested though I do like a few well known otis redding songs!

Feb 23 2026

This album goes hard lol, I probably haven't understood a big number of the references, cool to listen to a Public Enemy album though and hear songs from Flavor Flav

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Feb 24 2026

Not any of the bigger songs I know from BD in here but a good listen

The Undertones by The Undertones
Feb 25 2026

Many great classics on this one, what a great first album!

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Feb 28 2026

To be listened - sick

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Mar 02 2026
Mar 03 2026

Big tunes on this one, never actually listened to an Elton John album but I do know the big hits, fun to listen to!

All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot
Mar 04 2026

Good to try out, all a bit too same-y to me in the end

Mar 05 2026

Weird one to recommend, maybe it had a significant story around it? Will need to read the wiki

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Mar 06 2026

She's got a great voice, interesting that it progressed to a lot of black life subjects, learnt a bunch!

Sister by Sonic Youth
Mar 11 2026

To be listened to
