Popular Reviews

Fun House by The Stooges

Too long and too loose for me, just never really grabbed me. They were pioneers maybe

The College Dropout by Kanye West

Lowkey I thought the skits were too much… but not too much to make this less than a 5

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu

Sounds like if The English Beat got hit in the head with hammers. That being said fantastic work I will listen again

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto

Me and Steven agreed to give this 4 and 5 so it comes out to 4.5 This one was pretty fuckin great, beautiful vocals over some real classic lovely instrumentation. Something I would make a tasty dinner to.

Fun House by The Stooges
Dec 02 2025

Too long and too loose for me, just never really grabbed me. They were pioneers maybe

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Dec 03 2025

This was great love his tone and none of the songs are boring. Super dynamic and fun and awesome. I would only say is one thing for me is that im not in love with one song in particular

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Dec 05 2025

Ugh… the guy cannot sing and the harmonica solos blow up my eardrums… unfortunately however I get the appeal and the music itself is pretty solid. Bordering on 2 but 3 because I think I’m biased

Low by David Bowie
Dec 08 2025

This was a 3 until the esoteric instrumental bits at the end. Frickin lovely beautiful tunes that are elegant and emotional

Dec 09 2025

Man for 1988 this is insane, intro track is so nutty. Songs can def be shorter but it was a different time and this album was revolutionary in many ways so mad respect

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Dec 10 2025

Elite level storytelling and great music go to with it. Never bored on this one, super great.

I See You by The xx
Dec 11 2025

I gotta say, this was very very well made for what it is. The production is super clean, with some pretty rich and full instrumentals. Doesn’t push any boundaries, but does a great job of being what it is.

2112 by Rush
Dec 12 2025

Geddy Lee is so fuckin goated man. Each song is so damn electric and the quit bits are all mystical.. rush is so fire.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Dec 15 2025

Genuinely elite. This album could be cut in half and still be elite. So many great songs on one album and the ones in between are very very solid.

The White Room by The KLF
Dec 16 2025

Pretty elite electronic music, production is pretty great for its time. That being said it does sound a bit like dance dance revolution. (Listened to version from youtube since the Spotify one seemed wrong)

Dec 17 2025

Good and I can see how they have influenced other musicians afterwards, love the synths. That being said, I feel like it didn’t really have any standouts.

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Dec 18 2025

This was pretty elite. Super curious about the lore for this one, if I could I’d give this 4.5. Super psychedelic but not annoyingly so, very well done

Dec 19 2025

There’s some generational hits in here that are elite on all levels, however I think this album could’ve been probably 20 minutes shorter and just as elite, a lot of songs were okay and dragged on.

Imperial Bedroom by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Dec 20 2025

The guy can write songs

Abraxas by Santana
Dec 22 2025

Good i fw the latin percussion and i fw u and i used to crack to black magic woman

GI by Germs
Dec 23 2025

Okay this is actually awesome.. the fucking guitar tone is so good, like that shit rips like a chainsaw but is also so fluid. Not to mention for 1979 this sound is so ahead of its time. The songs dont overstay their welcome like some of these other older punk albums. Minus a star just because the vocals aren’t for me

The Healer by John Lee Hooker
Dec 31 2025

i fuck with the blues heavy

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Feb 10 2026

Awesome and spacey, no bad tracks but for me, all starts to sound the same after a bit. But I get it for sure [EDIT LISTEN #5 I GET IT NOW, EASY FIVE]

All Directions by The Temptations
Feb 11 2026

It was good, but it didn't particularly blow me away. I had higher expectations it seems but maybe I don't quite have the ear for it either.

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Feb 12 2026

So bomb. Psychedelic beats but done in a way that feels fresh, hypnotic drum loops and suuuuuch good sampling. Easy 5.

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto
Feb 13 2026

Me and Steven agreed to give this 4 and 5 so it comes out to 4.5 This one was pretty fuckin great, beautiful vocals over some real classic lovely instrumentation. Something I would make a tasty dinner to.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Feb 14 2026

Pretty great, love the guitar tone and the killer vocals from blondie, paired w some fun lyrics :D

Music From The Penguin Cafe by Penguin Cafe Orchestra
Feb 15 2026

Perfectly fine, perhaps something I would listen if I had a mansion and a room exclusively for birds… an aviary? Idk but it had some cool experimental bits… pigtails? Pretty weird vibe.

The United States Of America by The United States Of America
Feb 16 2026

Okay I won’t leave my wooden wife is fire and I understood why it’s on there twice but the rest is soooooo average.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Feb 17 2026

Very very good! Every song I feel like has that special sauce except for the last one

Shleep by Robert Wyatt
Feb 19 2026

Pretty awesome and ethereal actually and I actually kinda like his voice

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Feb 20 2026

It was good but it didn’t knock my socks off

Very by Pet Shop Boys
Feb 22 2026

This one definitely grew on me the more I listened to it.. it’s got that elite oonce oonce oonce oonce typa vibe. Maybe even better than KLF. Truly a 3.5 but not close enough to a 4 so 3 it is.

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
Feb 23 2026

Very good for what it is, not something I would listen to organically but very beautiful

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Feb 24 2026

Innovative, beautiful without doing too much. Minus points for pyramids

Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock
Feb 25 2026

Oozes an aura of insincerity. Not particularly heavy or groovy, lyrics are incredibly uncreative and offensive in the least tasteful way possible. It seems like he thinks people don’t like him for his profanity, but in reality it’s just because his music is pathetically garbage. 1 star for the king of chuds.

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Feb 26 2026

Lowkey I thought the skits were too much… but not too much to make this less than a 5

L'Eau Rouge by The Young Gods
Mar 01 2026

Okay I can forgive irritating vocals (germs my beloved) but not when the instrumentals are equally ass. This whole album feels super theatrical but not in a good way and always seems to be building to the most underwhelming and booty drops ever. ZERO stars would rather listen to rock bottom

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Mar 03 2026

Just raw and sick ass vocals and awesome guitars. Not as many hits but great energy throughout the album

Songs The Lord Taught Us by The Cramps
Mar 04 2026

It’s fun and I love the dancability but can be a little repetitive. I thought I would like this more, but it’s not at all bad. It sounds like it would be really fun live

Illmatic by Nas
Mar 05 2026

Head boppin' to this unintentionally the whole time. I see why people call him top 5. Listened to it twice plan to listen to it tomorrow as well.

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Mar 06 2026

For how long it is, surprisingly engaging all the way through, I love the variety in instruments

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Mar 07 2026

OOOH SWEET LADY I’M HORNY *WLAALLALALALALA WROOOOWWWWW*

Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Mar 08 2026

I don’t think I needed to hear this before I die

Vivid by Living Colour
Mar 09 2026

Very dynamic and fun, vocals are money, but starts to become uninteresting towards the second half

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Mar 10 2026

Monty python british shanty really elevated this piece for me

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Mar 11 2026

it was good, maybe i wasnt in the mood but definitely will need to revisit.

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
Mar 12 2026

This is awesome and the best part is that it doesn’t overstay its welcome. Will always love a short and sweet punk album

Space Ritual by Hawkwind
Mar 13 2026

Song title will be like GAZORPAZORP THE EATER OF WORLDS and it’ll be the most average 9 minute song you’ve heard in your life

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Mar 16 2026

Sounds like if The English Beat got hit in the head with hammers. That being said fantastic work I will listen again

Venus Luxure No. 1 Baby by Girls Against Boys
Mar 18 2026

Mehhhhhhhh I wanted to like this but it seemed very average

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Mar 19 2026

Apparently a good album is when you build up for 5 minutes and do nothing

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Mar 20 2026

I get it 100%… to make that many songs is really impressive. However I do think a lot of art benefits from being concise and only containing what needs to be there. But also the whole point of this project was to be a shit ton of songs. I’m gonna settle with a three

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Mar 22 2026

4.5 tbh As with many prog albums first half carries. Tarkus (the 20 min song) always has a special place in my heart

Eliminator by ZZ Top
May 12 2026

A little average, some fun standouts like sharp dressed man and tv dinner but… basslines on this album made me want to kill myself

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
May 16 2026

I’ve listened to this about 5 times cover to cover in the past week. They’re all good. Except for turn that heartbeat over again it’s just alright. And change of the guard. But when your worst 2 songs are still good that speaks volumes.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
May 26 2026

Real old school.. leans a little too far towards novelty to five for me but still good

More Specials by The Specials
Jul 10 2026

As far as production goes some of the most lively and fun sounding ska out there. Truly genre defining
