Overall very vibey experience. Obviously some absolute classics. It was a good thing to put on in the background studying for mid-terms. I think my favorite discovery was Mothers Talk, which was a song I had heard but didn't have any connection that it was tears for fears. I also listened to the Everybody wants to Rule the World Song Exploder.

Great album but I don't think I would regularly listen to it. Definitely one of the most unique albums I've heard. Makes me think how it is a shame Farewell Transmission by Songs of Ohia isn't on the list. Couple years ago when I first had a gabb phone, I went through a Sufjan Stevens phase for the Planetarium Album, which includes Bryce Dessner and James McAlister. Some great acoustic sets, but I not a huge fan of Sufjan's voice insolated like it is in those. I like more or the upbeat choral and rocking songs. Favorite Discoveries: "Come On! Feel the Illinoise! I like this one more then Pornography (The Cure), but the songs are just to repetitive. They all sound too similar. Blitzkrieg is obviously iconic.
I really like the sound of this album. The mix is superb. The guitars and drums mmm chef's kiss. It's very cohesive without being repetitive. I'd buy this one on vinyl! It'd be really cool for a collection. This album is just very listen throughable, which is making me strangely reconsider Illinois by Sufjan, which I probably should have given a 4.
Pretty cool album. I like the first half more then the second. The first is a bit more rocking, and the second pleasantly lolls you in a sleepy state. Not that you can get tired of the album because it is great. I don't think this is as good of an album as Wish You Were Hear and Dark Side of the Moon better, which I think will be 5 stars for me. You can hear echoes of what the Wish You Were Here album brings to this one. Interested in diving deeper into the meaning of each song.
Listened while reading/taking study notes for King Lear, and it has kinda a vibe. Gathering Moss kind of a King Lear song. I only thought of this because it said something about faking madness. This one is a solid 3.75. I'll round up to 4. I enjoyed it.
This has been my day for music. Unironically listened to the new Jack Harlow album, and then this just wow *chief's kiss.* Goated instrumentals wasn't a huge fan of the vocals (Like Glad might have been my favorite track). Overall I just loved the sound. Perfectly fit the vibe of my day. Little uppitty. Little chill. Would buy this album. Thinking once again that Jorge Ben Jor deserved a 5 from me.
Probably 4 stars. Not a huge Neil Young guy myself. I think if I listened to this album enough, I'd enjoy it enough to purchase though.
Really like this album. It's probably been one of my favorites among the harder rock albums. so far at least. Man what is it with the year 1970! Reminds me of the Budos Band. Love the vocals, and the songs aren't to repetitive in nature. Child in Time isn't great (only because of those first 3.5 mins :I), but gets better as is goes on. The main thing for me is *the guitar solos*! I really like the guitar solos, and the drums are awesome on these songs. That's for me why it'd get a 5 maybe. I don't know if it'd be a must purchase, but I think it would be a might purchase. Not as good as John Barleycorn Must Die.
The number one set and sound. Underground hip-hop. This put a name to a genre for me. Reminds me of my dad. Blackilious, Cut Chemist, Silver Skylarks, DJ Shadow. By far my favorite rap.
Perfect Days is good but just because it makes me think of the Wim Wenders movie of the same title

So strange having grown up on Beck with KXT. Thought it was niche for years. But hey I kinda thought everything I listened to was niche, like Foster the People, and Phoenix. I just think as a kid you don't realize that kinda thing. Even then for the longest time I only knew Where it's at, which I always loved. Kinda wish I could have listen to all these albums in order, so that I could see the progression. I say that because some of this obviously reminds me of classic rock. Bit of Lou Reed, and the rock I've been listening to in Deep Purple. But it's also so hip-hop. Caught between 3 and 4. This one might take a couple listens to get used to, so thinking 4.
If you can get over their voices, it's what if the Ramones didn't have the same song over and over again. It's so rocking. But they are so annoying to listen to.
The often rocking version of the Carpenters or Joni Mitchell. More of a Sheryl Crow type. Pretty good.
