Parallel Lines by Blondie
May 05 2026

3/5 - a lot of the songs on here remind me of a worse version of bruce springsteen. heart of glass is so above the rest it’s actually crazy.

Harvest by Neil Young
May 06 2026

love this album. feels like a warm hug.

May 08 2026

kind of weird that all of the songs i liked from this were either written by or sung by someone in queen that wasn’t freddie mercery. i will this album suffers from one song being leagues above the rest in quality (bohemian rhapsody) (this happens a lot)

May 11 2026

least favorite smiths album. this one is featured in 1001 albums to listen to before you die? sure there are some good stuff but it’s plagued by what i call “songwriting that will be a staple of morrissey’s solo work” i can’t stand girlfriend in a coma it’s easily one of there worst songs. funny enough after relistening this album has some of the strongest songs in their catalog. and some of their weakest lol

My Generation by The Who
May 12 2026

fun! like a dirtier version of early beatles. they prob hated that comparison lol

Supa Dupa Fly by Missy Elliott
May 13 2026

torn by this. on one hand i love the production and the back and forth missy does with rapping and singing. on the other hand… DAMN she’s booorrrrinnnggggg and this is bloateddddddd

Ten by Pearl Jam
May 14 2026

i really don’t like grunge. it’s like they take everything good about blues and remove it. nu-metal version of blues. lame and sonically boring. i liked even flow but that’s mostly because of the steezus meme.

Pornography by The Cure
May 18 2026

i gave this one a relisten. i’ve always liked the cure, never loved. always found their LPs to be a a bit inconsistent. although when they make a good song they make an amazing song which is why i never wrote them off. this album is considered one of their best, but id disagree. a pretty okay A side and a great B side. there are maybe two songs on here that i would consider great. also i think i prefer the cure when they write pop songs over their goth songs. i just think smith’s songwriting really shines when he’s writing pop music. moodiness and vibes can’t hide boring songs

May 19 2026

it’s really not that great. he’s pretty corny and that edgelord shit gets old real quick. the beats aren’t anything to write home about either. stan is probably the only good song on here lol the rest is either terrible or okay at best. “oh man why do people think i’m a homophobic, misogynistic, violent person???? it’s just a joke they don’t know me!!!” *next song* “i’m a homophobic, misogynistic, violent person! i mean everything i say!”

One World by John Martyn
May 20 2026

i don’t really have much to say about this one. the sonic landscapes are nice and lush but it all kind of blends into the background for me

May 21 2026

great tunes. great singer, powerful. big issue is that this album can be a little samey (he uses nearly the same vocal melody on like 75% of this) but it helps that most songs on here are great

Da Capo by Love
May 22 2026

excellent a side… revelation is uh… it’s okay! it’s got some great parts but it’s a bit bloated and sloppy

The Bends by Radiohead
May 24 2026

definitely feels transitional but that’s probably because i know what’s coming next. fake plastic trees and street spirits are major highlights

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
May 25 2026

interesting listen, i feel as tho this isn’t monks best work however. not totally in love with some of the work here

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 26 2026
Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
May 27 2026

incredible. each song is its own world. walk on by might be the greatest soul song of all time

Gold by Ryan Adams
May 28 2026

incredible. they invented an AI slop album 25 years before the invention of AI slop music

Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney
May 29 2026

not the biggest fan of grunge, just not my style. i will say that this is a lot better than bleach by nirvana and a lot of what’s on here makes it seems like kurt bit off their style hard

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
May 30 2026

we are family (the song) suffers from extreme overplay in american culture, but i actually really liked the rest of the tracks off of this album especially he’s the greatest dancer and you’re a friend to me. awesome tracks

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
May 31 2026

probably his best. quiet, spiritual, yet grips you tight for your attention and never lets go. some of the greatest guitar work on a jazz album i have ever heard (not surprisingly)

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg
Jun 01 2026

a couple of standouts but overall i really didn’t care for the arrangements. The instrumentation felt very bland from track to track. The lyrics, of course were fantastic and kept me interested.

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Jun 02 2026

a very cool and heavy album. planet caravan is so underrated. metal music is always best when done by a bunch of stoned nerds

Forever Changes by Love
Jun 03 2026

no it’s good for sure it just sort of sounds like a parody of a popular album from the late 70s :p kinda miss the hard swag they were showing on their second album

Jun 04 2026

oh yeah this slaps easily. the chemistry each member has with one another is really something no one really got close to since this release (even they haven’t either) RZAs production is absolutely prefect for the vibe they went with.

Sulk by The Associates
Jun 05 2026

Side B + the bonus tracks are astronomically better than side A holy shit. talk about lop sided. i really don’t care for gothic post-punk. it always comes across as the songwriting gets tossed to the side in favor for “mood” and “sadness”

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Jun 06 2026

swagged out and full of grooves. how i like my post-punk

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Jun 07 2026

absolutely a joy to listen to! one of those albums where you have to be moving regardless if you’re good at dancing or not!

Jun 08 2026

not AS good as fear of music but damn was this amazing from front to back. i really should have listened to talking heads sooner…

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Jun 09 2026

excellent album, incredible songwriting. my only real issue is that there was a noticeable drop in quality on side C. luckily sad eye lady ends the album on such a high note

Ctrl by SZA
Jun 10 2026
Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Jun 11 2026

the amount of times i did that leo pointing meme whenever i heard a beat or a lyric what was reference or sampled from this… and people say nwa was the most influential…

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Jun 19 2026

clown music that sounds like it’s spiraling out of control (i love it)

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Jun 20 2026

tight and groovy, she’s got a voice of an angel i mean come on

The Coral by The Coral
Jun 21 2026

they all of these influences yet they don’t really do anything with them except mimic them…
