I love this album more than I knew, it's very good, I've always enjoyed listening to it, now I will listen to it some more
there are some really great songs on this album but not every track stands out to me, still four stars because the highs are high.
lovely sound lovely words, not every song is a banger
positives:
- rock operas are cool
- prog rock is cool
- it sounds nice
- your dad's fav song is on it
- wacky cheesy drama
- guitar solos!!! guitar solos!!!
- very long
negatives:
- your dad's fav song is on it
- wacky cheesy drama
- guitar solos!!! guitar solos!!!
- very long
roger waters is completely up himself but it's still one of my favourites
like doug walker I'll listen to it so you don't have to
very nice, It's easy to see why this one is a famous classic and the 5/4 timing in 'take five' takes clear inspiration from classics before it (mission impossible theme song, balatro menu music)
I would like to give it a 3.5 but I don't feel like rounding up to 4
I like the sound but for the most part it's not super catchy to me, I also would like to be surprised more, songs sound interesting but get a bit boring imo, as much as I can enjoy long songs I don't have the same patience with repeated samples tbh
fishin 4 religion is my favourite track
great album that doesn't appeal to my personal tastes so much, there are other beastie boys albums I like more than this one and I'm just not obsessed with beastie boys in general tbh
catchy songs with fun guitar, great tone, good vocals and a generally great energy for most of the tracks, very good album for me
zz top is never in mind as one of my favourite bands but I'm always happy to hear zz top
this was just alright to me, maybe I'm not currently open enough to falling in love with this sort of sound. I liked listening but don't feel strongly any way tbh.
the songs on this album are better on other albums :)
laaaa laaaa laaa la laaa, laaa laaa la laaaa laaa laa la laaa
good and fun, I like the b-52s but this album doesn't have any bangers that really stick in my brain, it's just pretty good all the way through, so it's a 4
the P!ATD sample surprised me, don't know how they did that
none of these songs made it into the deeper layers of my brain, I didn't have a bad time or anything though, just not any interesting feelings on this one
Like A Rolling Stone? Well I don't!!!!!!!
good but not my favourite, prettier and more fun than some other albums on this list, not something I would recommend as a must-listen
pretty songs with lyrics that I really like, in a genre that I love
not rapt with this but a 2 implies negative feelings, which I don't really have, I just think I need a time machine to properly enjoy this album tbh
fine but not remarkable to me, just fine.
just my sort of thing, it doesn't have hits like paranoid but I have plenty of love for this album, good all the way through
really really nice, I like this genre and I've liked other beach house songs outside of this album, I should have checked this one out. it's yum :)
perfectly suits my taste, really lovely, maybe I'm just feeling it today but I do love this album
if you eat corn and then go to the bathroom sometimes there's corn in your toilet and obviously it's already gross but somehow the corn makes it way more gross, that's what this album is about I think
I don't have enough fun with this band to lift them high in my mind, it feels like I ordered a meal at a popular restaurant and am disappointed by a very normal experience, not bad though
I like most elements of this but my brain is left wanting for something catchy and dynamic, can't help but compare it to kanye albums that I like better, I'd rate my enjoyment a 3.5/5 if I could
like the best vanilla ice cream I've ever eaten
I would give it a 3.5 if I could, I like thrash and I think there is some really good and iconic stuff in master of puppets but it loses points for being a bit unfun and sounding like mud tbh
there's something profound about this spooky spooky sound...
I like the sound enough to give it a 4 but the tunes don't stick in my head like they might in other stevie wonder albums, good though
when taken seriously this album is a great collection of well performed classics and it's all very fun, big fan
I haven't always loved the mixing on this album but overall it's really grown on me over time, visiting it now I'm really pleased
there is nothing special about the average song on this album and its big hits are just decent, I can have fun listening to welcome to the jungle, paradise city or sweet child o' mine but all of them are songs I'm likely to skip halfway through tbh
I really like some of the songs, others fall off a bit, overall a nice sound that's up my alley, plus I love duane allman in anything
just not reaching me, some special spice is missing, idk
this album makes me think its creators really like led zeppelin and then it makes me think I should listen to led zeppelin, track 1 is a 3.5 but the rest brings it down, I got very bored
very cool and fun, great lyrics too, some tracks have me more than others though, and overall it doesn't hit every corner of my brain that I'd need for a 5/5, still it's like a 9/10
where palatable bluesy prog(?) rock peaks in my mind
I'm so used to this album that I'd easily rate it a 4/5 if asked, but listening to it loud enough I realise that isn't right
musically quite fun and the vocals really grew on me, lyrics aren't the best but it's generally my thing regardless
I love this sort of thing, lovefool does stand above the other songs but it's all good music, catchy and expressive, plus it was recorded on the moon 😮
had lots of fun with this, if my genre preferences shift over time I could see myself giving it a 5 in the future
the internet can set you up to think this is a great record that baits republicans because they don't understand its art, I think it baits them because it's tasteless and has weird uncle vibes
I think a few of the songs on this album are alright, I think the title track is a 7/10, but the rest are either boring and forgettable or really obnoxious, I don't want to hear another flat dull word yelled in my ear
nostalgia for good old rock 'n' roll can lead you to great music but it could also lead you to this album, I think it's one of the 'classics' that needs to be reconsidered tbh
the piano in bobby jean is so annoying man
I didn't expect myself to have such strong opinions about born in the USA I'm sorry if you like it
