Jun 25 2026

Not too long for a single sitting. Good, and a hip-hop classic but found it overwhelming in the end.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Jun 26 2026

Stuart Maconie said "You can here where he gives up half way through side 4..." And he's absolutely right. 3.5 sides of masterpieces and then trash. Side r open with As and I suggest that's where you stop listening.

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Jul 01 2026

LCD Soundsystem are always amazing.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Jul 02 2026

Fabulously weird mix of chilled vibes.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Jul 03 2026

I didn't get the Mekons at the time and now, listening with a more mature ear, I still don't. Seems like The Emperor's New Clothes to me.

Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper
Jul 05 2026

Some great songs but has not fared well with the passage of time.

Youth And Young Manhood by Kings of Leon
Jul 06 2026

Saw them headline the NME stage at V Festival on promoting this album. It was interesting and I bought the album on the back of it but it was about the shortest headline set I've ever seen. They only had this album to draw on. The album is mid with Molly's Chamber being a stand out.

Guero by Beck
Jul 07 2026
The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
Jul 08 2026

What was once revolutionary now sounds like a poor collection of blues covers.

Tapestry by Carole King
Jul 10 2026

Fill of memories of teenage parties (I was so cool!)

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Jul 11 2026

It's great but it's far too long

Ramones by Ramones
Jul 14 2026

Feels like it was recorded in real time. Absolutely top tier punk rock.

Unhalfbricking by Fairport Convention
Jul 16 2026

One of the greatest bands of all time. Sandy Denny's voice was beautiful. Such a sad loss.

Be by Common
Jul 21 2026

I can see it's quality but not a style of hip-hop I enjoyed

No Other by Gene Clark
Jul 23 2026

Just felt like the songs that weren't good enough for the Byrds repackaged 10years too late.

Suzanne Vega by Suzanne Vega
Jul 27 2026

10/5 album. Provoked a million discussions about what the songs meant in the VI Form common room.

Aja by Steely Dan
Jul 28 2026

Sounds the same from start to finish.

Diamond Life by Sade
Jul 29 2026

I thought this was an awful "jazz lite" record in 1984... It is. Suffered it in a million student flats and it is just banal.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Aug 01 2026

5 stars if you're 15, but only 2 if you're over 16

Ctrl by SZA
Aug 02 2026

Not to my taste but interesting.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Aug 05 2026
Dookie by Green Day
Aug 08 2026
Ten by Pearl Jam
Aug 11 2026
Bummed by Happy Mondays
Aug 12 2026
Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Aug 13 2026

Absolutely will not listen to this racist piece of shit.
