In Rainbows by Radiohead

this album blew my tiny little mind when i was younger and it still does . i do wish thom yorke wasnt a big baby bitch.. sigh was listening to weird fishes/arpeggi driving into work this morning and a guy was dancing down the sidewalk like really throwing down and his moves lined up perfectly with the music and it’s things like that that make life worth living you know

Abbey Road by Beatles
Aug 03 2026

it’s fucking abbey road like what am i supposed to say. i love to hate the beatles and hate to love them. thank god they stopped after this. listened to a very high quality version of the super deluxe so that was a treat favorites are i want you (she’s so heavy) and mr. mustard/polythene pam honorable mentions octopus garden lol and the entire weirdness of the back half

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Aug 04 2026

this and zeppelin iv were in the first stack of albums my mom gave me when i was a kid rock music just isn’t as horny as it used to be. i love the absolute grime all over this record favs: what is and what never should be, bring it on home, heartbreaker solo honorable mention: lemon song there should be way more songs about handjobs the only other one i can think of is caress me down by sublime

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Aug 05 2026

masterpiece. tight sub 30 min. no skips. bechdel test hard fail. whatever idc i must confess that jolene is the only dolly album i've listened to top to bottom before this(unless you count trio, i really hope that is on this list) . i listened to coat of many colors a few times through during my shift today and each time was a delight i was shocked by how much absolute sauce the rhythm section is putting on this. 90% of the time i dig those melodic leading basslines though i feel like the bass in the full band moments can get distracting & lose balance. there’s a bit of delightful psychedelic flavor in the rockier tunes that i wasn’t expecting. here i am feels like it could’ve been a janis song. she has the range! & for a studio backing band these guys really know how to play with dolly’s voice and lyricism i love songs that tell stories and that’s what dolly weaves these narratives so well into her songwriting - title track & traveling man favorites : early morning breeze !!! and my blue tears

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Aug 06 2026

too tired to condense notes into a review so buckle up here are my stream of consciousness listening notes re: cosmic dancer strings and dueling backwards guitars???? so corny & so good this is my favorite JEEPSTER slaps . am i hearing tap shoes lyrics don’t need to mean anything if what you’re saying sounds cool enough i read someones review on here that said marc bolan is like if bowie read less books . or maybe it’s the other way around and bowie is a well read bolan either way i agree just like a car…. you’re built like a car…. cadillac king dancer in the midnight……. life’s a GAS ??? hmmm . ok i really wanna watch rocky horror on vhs when i get home does anyone wanna come watch it with me this album is cool without taking itself seriously, so horny without being cringe there’s so much repressed filthiness lurking in the sound. very understated , many small tasty moments that u will miss unless you’re really leaning in i think i really appreciate classic rock more since i started taking testosterone rest in peace marc bolan you would have loved crash (1996)

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Aug 07 2026

more enjoyable to approach this album more as performed poetry than capital M Music. but yeah it’s just words and guitar let him cook master song is my favorite i was captivated by its dark imagery and trying to interpret what the relationship it was based on looked like familiar with many of these songs but never listened to the album top to bottom , hypnotic and meditative when you let yourself fall into it . first listened with my partner last night and we were just sitting outside smoking cigarettes and staring off into space. and the air was quiet and still . we would look at each other after a song would end and be like what do you think that song was about. and that was perfect to me hey that’s no way to say goodbye <3 , i can’t really find the words to explain it but leonard cohen is like david lynch to me, i think it’s the subtle uncanniness in the way they depict parts of the human experience. and i have the same reverence for the art that both made even though i won’t pretend to understand all of it bread and egg

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Aug 10 2026

same as it ever was 🙂‍↕️ i’m trying to be stingier with how much i give out 5 stars but the almighty generator just keeps giving us perfect albums … recently went down a fela kuti/afrobeat rabbit hole so this was fun to revisit with the added context that eno and byrne & co were heavily influenced by fela when working on this record , thank you @joesama for that favorites: the great curve & houses in motion egg and scallion pancake

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Aug 11 2026

god i wish i still liked smoking weed. perfect album to put on when you’re wizard high and get so scared lost me a bit in the b side, good blues rock but i wish it were as heavy and spooky as the first 3 tracks fav: the wizard . who gave ozzy that harmonica egg rice with @chilifrog chili crisp from 2024

Talking Timbuktu by Ali Farka Touré
Aug 12 2026

exquisite cottage cheese and pollo asado on scallion pancake

Countdown To Ecstasy by Steely Dan
Aug 13 2026

try not to smile and dance and have fun challenge (IMPOSSIBLE) just some of the best feeling music there is. absolute instrumental mastery and very mysterious (to me) lyrics. last track is my favorite, i love the mario kart solo section & that synth lead. i had a great time i love you steely daniel i can’t wait for aja to come up on the list sausage egg and cheese

Killing Joke by Killing Joke
Aug 14 2026

had never listened to these guys before, it’s very cool to listen for the first time to a band that influenced a bunch of bands that i really like first listen was in the car and i was like meh . gave it another try in the headphones and i like it! i get why so many groups took this sound and ran with it that being said bloodsport annoyed the shit outta me favorites: the wait & wardance hash brown with egg and cottage cheese (made by han)

C'est Chic by CHIC
Aug 17 2026

🕺🕺🕺 bagelfelds jalapeño cheddar with cream cheese

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Aug 18 2026

sonic quaalude pink moon is a comfort album for me. i love nick drake & im happy to see his whole discography made this list, i think all 3 of his albums deserve it the guitar playing on this record is just excellent, i really want to try out the open tunings he was using. the fingerstyle is so full and expressive & accompanies his voice so well. also the fret buzz is perfect to me esp on know parasite is my favorite because i <3 pain and suffering . but truly i don’t think i would really listen to any of these tracks individually or put them on a playlist when the album itself is so short && like yes all the songs sound the same but to me pink moon is a singular mood more than it is a progression of tracks with different tones egg and luna bar

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Aug 19 2026

it’s britney bitch…. only listened thru like once but i feel like i got the gist pretty upsetting to listen to when you’re thinking about the context . she was only 17!!!!! seven teen !! here for the beat goes on & the house remixes at the end of the digital deluxe like cmonnnn

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 20 2026

this comes at no surprise but i love this album so much . jammy and imperfect and the music just feels so cool.. this might be my favorite neil young album. that guitar tone 😵‍💫 dare i say proto grunge ? favs: cinnamon girl, down by the river, and cowgirl in the sand sun chip

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Aug 21 2026

banger city i do think it’s more listenable than remain in light, songwriting is more linear but still has the hypnotic repetitive groove sequences. joe and i busting a mf move here at the frame shop today gonna try to talk tess and han into watching stop making sense tonight after band practice wish me luck drugs won’t change you religion won’t change you 🙂‍↕️ greek yogurt & granola

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Aug 24 2026

no stairway! denied! i was kind of annoyed to see another zeppelin album come up so soon after we just had zeppelin ii… getting tired of robert plant’s voice & kinda bummed this is the album we have going into the weekend that being said this album is undeniably good, some really iconic riffs & overall just good time rock n roll.. of all the zeppelin records this one for sure belongs on the list and under other circumstances i would have enjoyed listening much more. whatever also going to california is my favorite i wish more of the songs sounded like that loved listening to the discord recs over the weekend! egg bread hot sauce

Doolittle by Pixies
Aug 25 2026

coolest band ever . i love you kim deal love doolittle i want to listen to it one million times. as soon as i hear the debaser intro im like fuck yeah baby yeehaw i feel like there’s something for everyone on this record, it’s clearly influenced so many artists from the 90s onward …. mitski …??……….. favorites are monkey gone to heaven, la la love you, silver 4.5/5 egg bread yogurt soyrizo

John Prine by John Prine
Aug 26 2026

LETS FUCKING GOOO one of my favorite country albums and artists ever, absolutely insane that he was 24 writing shit like this hello in there & sam stone make me cry can’t pick a favorite it’s just a perfect album to me. i can’t be normal sorry

Trio by Dolly Parton
Aug 27 2026

3 queens joining forces to maximize their joint slay… thee original boygenius… beautiful that we all got a dolly album todayy for the most part instrumentally simple, such tight lush harmonies that need very little accompaniment wise favorites: wildflowers, those memories of you 🙂‍↕️ you guys i’m starting to think they might not make country music like this anymore

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Aug 28 2026

this album blew my tiny little mind when i was younger and it still does . i do wish thom yorke wasnt a big baby bitch.. sigh was listening to weird fishes/arpeggi driving into work this morning and a guy was dancing down the sidewalk like really throwing down and his moves lined up perfectly with the music and it’s things like that that make life worth living you know

The Yes Album by Yes
Aug 31 2026

i liked this fine .. i think yes has better albums probably. i was more familiar with their tracks off of fragile and 90125 before this. my dad loves this stuff and your dad probably does too big fan of the clap big fan of the organ moments all over the album not a big fan of the vocals, i kind of wish it were instrumental

Kid A by Radiohead
Sep 01 2026

my favorite radiohead album… released just 2 days after i was born.. kind of beautiful huh the best you can is good enough 🙂‍↕️ forever relevant, perfect music to dissociate to or kind of freak out about the world to or both

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Sep 03 2026

i was less familiar with surfer rosa before listening, this is pixies first album and there’s lots of songs about bones (positive) can definitely hear on this album especially how they influenced nirvana and all those other grunge guys. i love how unpolished it is & how you can hear the space in the recording, it really sounds like demos and i think the low production value really works especially listening 35+ years after release fewer bangers than doolittle imo, also i gotta say it feels criminal that the breeders are not on the list favs are bone machine, cactus, gigantic something against you needs horns cmon baby gimme some ska

Young Americans by David Bowie
Sep 04 2026

yay! plastic soul! this is a very cool record! look how pretty he is. i have definitely slept on young americans because there are just so many good bowie albums, but i really enjoyed this luther vandross (!!!) vocal arrangements, those background singers my god this album feels like a gentlemen’s amount of cocaine served on a silver platter i don’t think the across the universe cover was really needed, but the song works honestly better as a spacey bowie ballad imo favorites: title track & fame .. what a goddamn way to start and end an album. and fascination

Sep 07 2026

not to be a band kid but ohhhhh i’ve been waiting for this one 21st century man is a masterpiece, HUGE face melting sound that just kicks your ass for seven minutes. “mirrors”, the instrumental jazz departure in the middle is definitely my favorite part of the record. it’s fine that the rest of the album (up until the last track) doesn’t hit the same because how are you supposed to follow that up? they should have flipped the tracklist around tbh i talk to the wind is good but it should be like 2 minutes shorter. fuckin love the flute soloing but it didn’t need to be doubled twice epitaph is a dark haunting journey, i love how they just put 2 more songs inside of one song. the “march for no reason” bit in the middle absolutely blows me away it feels like the sound just cracks wide open with the mellotron strings and clarinets. more woodwinds! i think moonchild is fun. i really thought the noodling in the middle was stupid and bad at first and i didn’t get it but after reading that they basically just threw it together to meet the runtime they needed for the album endears it to me for some reason. it’s like they finished the song and forgot to stop the tape the court of the crimson king is another banger. i love some spooky ren fair shit. i love how this album makes me feel like a powerful wizard in exile from a dark evil kingdom. 5 stars thank you
