1001 Albums Summary

I've never listened to a full jazz album before. I love the solo trumpet sections. Has the feel of being in a speakeasy with cigarette smoke all around you and a martini in hand waiting for a handsome stranger to ask you to dance. Makes me think of 20s short hair and flapper dresses. Boplicity was my favourite track (mainly because of the name). Jazz has a really easy vibe to it, cool and breezy.

Good drumming, not entirely my vibe though. Best song was Limelight!

Just beautiful, the Queen of Soul for a reason

Nice easy listening, funky and groovy. A new kind of Jazz I haven't listened to before.
