finally something interesting from this list. absolute stink on this record and I mean that in the best way possible

his voice has such a melancholy sincerity, this record really does feel like hearing a man read scripture

Incredible distillation of that 80s sound but the listening experience for me is just: one of the best songs ever made followed by one of the worst and then a bunch of tracks I've already forgotten about

I like Suede but its not their best album

Musically its alright but theres a middle class sheen on this album that makes it feel kind of full of itself despite just being alright

Eels are one of those bands where I've just had the one song that I've really liked for a long time (Novocaine For The Soul), but I never got round to really listening to anything else. I just sort of expected that to be their best song, and was prepared for most of this album to pale in comparison to that opening track... I was so wrong, every song on this is distilled mid 90s indie rock gold

Teen Age Riot is one of the best songs ever made and it could only have been made by a band like Sonic Youth

Kind of like the Smiths if Morrissey was even more of a posh bore and Johnny Marr wasn't there to make the music good.
