Van HalenOkay, I actually... loved this?? Totally shocked me! But, there's just something about the fun excitement that some of these songs bring - like "Jump????" WOW! Makes me just wanna dance around. I never knew I was a Van Halen fan.

Wow, absolutely loved this! Sounded like pop punk before it even was pop punk. I had only known one song by Husker Du before, but didn't think to even check out their albums. I'm a fan. (Shocked that the other reviews are so bad!)
Absolutely horrific. Just a bunch of discordant sounds and strange instruments. Awful, just awful. Totally ruined my dinner cooking experience.
Not for me. Very long. I can appreciate the fact that it's a completely different style than I've really heard before, but I just couldn't get into it.
This was okay, but no real stand out songs aside from "There She Goes." Everything basically blended together. This whole time I thought a woman sung There She Goes, but I think I was just misremembering the song.
Surprisingly didn't have any stand out songs to me.
So many recognizable songs! I didn't know I knew so many Stevie Wonder songs. I liked "As" a lot. I think the album could've been shorter.
There weren't any real stand out songs on the album, but after it finished, spotify turned into a really awesome playlist that we listened to for the rest of the night so I guess I like the genre a lot. Album cover was very cool.

I liked this one! I hadn’t heard most of the songs and I thought I knew a lot of talking heads. Didn’t know Warning Sign by Local Natives was just a cover of Talking Heads.
Great opening song. I thought the album was pretty good, not necessarily my style, but I enjoyed listening to it. I liked "I just don't know what to do with myself," reminded me of a much older song.
This was just a cacophony of sounds. It bothered the dogs, it bothered me. Not a fan.
I liked this one. I already knew 'Remind Me,' but I didn't know any of the other songs. Very good background ambient music, but unfortunately no real stand out songs other than Remind Me.
This was a very confusing album. First of all, 43 songs?? Even though they were short, it still felt really long. Also, what genre was this even? It felt like each song was from a completely different album. That being said, it was a fun surprise to hear the Jackass theme song come on, had no clue that was on this album, and I also saved one of the songs in my spotify so that's a win ('Dr. Wu').
This was fine "easy listening chill out" music, but I was just really bored. Someone else's review said that now they know what it was like to try on jeans at banana republic or gap in the 90s and that's TOTALLY the vibe. Not my cup of tea and the first song I really enjoyed was the one that autoplayed AFTER the album was over. Not a good sign.
I actually kind of enjoyed this one. I didn't think I would because it's not my style of music at all, but it wasn't so hard that I couldn't enjoy it. I don't think I'll go back and listen to it again, but for a one-time listen, I liked it.
Definitely early 90's rap. Seemed pretty repetitive. Did not like Da Bichez... really bad lyrics. Overall, not my thing.
What a strange album. I feel like it came so close to being something that I liked, but just didn't quite hit it. It was almost 60's folk music, but it was also mixed with church music, banjo music, and medieval music? Hunting Song was pretty good though.
Really liked the whole vibe of the album, love 80s synth music; however, there weren't really any stand out songs (aside from the one I already knew - Cars). But, wow, had no idea this was made in the 70s (1979), it sounds quintessentially 80s to me. Guess he was ahead of the game. Asylum was really creepy.
I like this style of music a lot (60s folk), but unfortunately, there weren't really any stand out songs for me. Did not know he was Jeff Buckley's father!

Great album. Probably not super inclined to listen to it on it's own, but definitely good background music. I feel like there weren't really any standout songs until the end of the album. Loved Suspicious Minds (did not know this was an Elvis song) and Kentucky Rain.
This was definitely better than the last Prince album I listened to for this project. A lot of classic songs that I knew, but didn't necessarily know they were Prince songs. Still not really my thing, but I can respect the art.
Classic 70s metal. Not for me, but they had some crazy guitar solos and could sing really high.
Actually liked this a lot! There were some really great tracks in there, I don't know why I've never really listened to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I heard Maps and was like "not for me," but didn't really give any of their other stuff a chance. Zero was the standout for me.
I knew the first song Shining Star - very famous. But the other songs seemed more experimental and nothing really stood out to me. I typically love this sort of 70s music, but I wasn't really feeling it.
I typically can get into this type of music, but this was pretty painful. A lot of yelling and no real tracks that stood out to me. I kind of just wanted it to be over.
I like Frank Sinatra a lot, but this album didn't really have any stand out tracks for me. Good listening in the background for sure. Easy listening.
Liked this album, but none of the songs hit as hard as the Big Little Lies theme (so good). I could definitely hear hints of it though! Liked Solid Ground.
I was not expecting to like this one, but was surprised to find a really enjoyed it! Pitche Mi was a standout, so emotional.
This one was pretty out there. I feel like some songs had the bones of something really catchy, but then would purposefully veer off into some other experimental direction. It was mainly focused on the vocals, which were good for sure, but the songs just didn't grab me, or at least they would start to grab me and then the beat would totally change up and she'd do some strange vocal trill. Best song was Luckie, but Lu was pretty good too.
Generally, a lot of interesting jazzy stuff. Good for background music, but the songs were really really long and it kind of fell off at the end.
I really liked this! I had heard of Yes before, but never listened to them. It reminds me of those math rock bands, like Maps & Atlases and (early) Foals. The songs were a bit long for me and not sure any stood out enough for me so that's why I'm not giving it the 5, but it's close!
Sounded like a lot of different genres rolled into one. I had never heard of him before, but this was definitely pleasant to listen to. Nothing really stood out, but overall I liked the album. First song was probably my favorite - Solid Air.
Not for me. Very long. I can appreciate the fact that it's a completely different style than I've really heard before, but I just couldn't get into it.
Great album, so many hits on it. I feel like the hits really hit, but there were a few misses on it (some of the super funky stuff wasn't really my taste), so that's why it's not a 5 for me.
Not for me. More like spoken word poetry with some beats in the background. They didn't necessarily seemed like they went together, although some of the messages were really interesting.
I enjoyed this one a lot, was not expecting to. Also, SHOCKED that this is from 1969! Spotify said it was from 2016 and I was like yep that tracks, but I guess that was just a remaster or something? I could not believe this from the 60s, sounds so modern. Crazy.
Just so good. Love The Strokes. Absolute rock stars.
This was okay, but didn't quite capture my attention. "Think Too Much (a)" was the stand out track for me.
Absolutely horrific. Just a bunch of discordant sounds and strange instruments. Awful, just awful. Totally ruined my dinner cooking experience.
So many good songs - very unique (or at least it was unique at the time).
Oof, this one was tough. Very all over the place and the songs seemingly kept repeating?? Or else the album was just making me crazy, which is entirely possible. I'm seeing in the other reviews that this album basically documents Syd's degradation and, yep, that tracks.
This album was only okay, didn't have any truly enjoyable songs. Overall, it was pleasant and fine, but it just didn't do it for me.
This was really dull to me. All the songs blended together and I couldn't really differentiate one from the other. No stand outs for me.
There are some really amazing songs and then just really mediocre songs. I wish I could rate it at 3.5. Standout song is 'Jesus, etc.', just so good.
I expected to like this one a lot more than I did. The songs weren't really memorable and some of them didn't really seem to fit the vibe. I thought one of them could've been a Kiss song. Only reason I'm giving it a 3 instead of a 2 is because my Mom loves the eagles so I feel like I owe it to her.
I feel like I don't understand who this band is at all. It felt all over the place.
I liked this one! There were some good songs in there. King of the World was the standout for me.
Okay, I actually... loved this?? Totally shocked me! But, there's just something about the fun excitement that some of these songs bring - like "Jump????" WOW! Makes me just wanna dance around. I never knew I was a Van Halen fan.
I liked this. It was a little meandering at times, but it was very emotive in the storytelling and made me nostalgic (?) for a time I wasn't even alive and for things I didn't actually experience.
Storytelling alone - great. Voice - not so great. The vibrato was just a little much sometimes and made it hard to follow the melody. The storytelling is something else though. River is the standout.
Interesting background album, but nothing really stood out to me. It seemed really long.
Classic 80s hair band. The songs were pretty good, but interestingly, I don't really think they hold up? I mean, they're good for their time, but I don't really see myself going out of my way to listen to this now - and I love 80s music!
Interesting concept. Liked the 'instructions' on how to make Indian music, but didn't really like the resulting songs.
Thought I was gonna like this one because I like a lot of The Doors songs, but this was just very underwhelming. Disappointing.
Thought I was going to absolutely love this one because "Let's Stay Together" (the song) is one of my all-time faves. But that was really the only standout song on the album for me. The other songs were just meh. Giving this one a 3 purely due to that song.
The B-52's are fun in small doses, but an entire album of them? Phewf. It's... a lot. Not very pleasant.
First track was extremely familiar. I had no idea this is who did that song! The entire album was instrumentals which I was not expecting. Good background music, but no songs that really wowed me.
AMAZING. Top notch. Every song was so fun. I was wondering how I knew the words to every single song, but then I remembered that my mom used to play this album for me all the time when I was a kid! Love it.
This one was pretty good. I thought it was going to be amazing based on all the people who kept popping up everywhere saying that Jamiroquai was way more than just that one song and that people would be surprised if they listened to the whole album. I liked it, sure, but nothing was really as good as their major hit.
This was so good! Shocked I haven't heard of it before. Totally reminded me of The Cure and The Smiths. Wow. Definitely want to listen to this one again.
This was only ok to me. The music was pretty underwhelming and all the songs sounded exactly the same. I perked up at one song (Frank Mills), but then realized I just recognized that song from Hair.
Very frenetic energy. Kind of hard to listen to. I get that that's punk for you, but this one's just not for me.
Certainly not for me, but I guess I can appreciate the artistry?
A lot more rock than I expected it to be. Unfortunately, I did not love it. I respect it, but it wasn’t for me.
