Killing Joke

Maybe I am just not in the mood for this kind of genre, maybe I am not into the music. Cant say that I enjoyed listening to the album. Will I listen to this album again? I dont think so. unless, if there's something that direct me this way again, some discoveries, some suggestions, I might. 2.1/3

Beatles
3/5
Only finished listening to the whole album once. I like the album cover especially with the animation. I might write something to sound smart so by writing that sentence, I am more comfortable to be honest with myself. I only knew Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine, so those ones were what I enjoy most about the album. And I think I started to appreciate the Eleanor Rigby song more now. Love You Too and one other song (I dont remember which one) caught my ear and I enjoyed them too. But, I havent really remember most of the songs in the album. And like I said, I only listened it once. That being said, for the sake of this being the first album, and because I dont like to be seen as "not having a good taste" to not like The Beatles, I will give it a 3/5 stars.
2Pac
3/5
Enjoyed listening to the album. Will come back to this later
Femi Kuti
2/5
Not really my type of music, I guess. Some of the sax parts are fun to listen to, though, I am pretty sure I will not pick this up again.
Elvis Costello & The Attractions

Milton Nascimento

ayy this is actually pretty good. Though I dont really understand what the songs are about, one song in particular made feel kinda sad.
The Teardrop Explodes
3/5
Never heard of the band before. I usually enjoy listening to something I already know and can sing along to, but this one have a certain vibe that attract me to it. Loves the drums sound. The vocal is pretty cool too. Will re-listen to this.
Sisters Of Mercy

Portishead
2/5
Played this one on the background while I was working. Did not really pay attention to the music. Feels a bit unfair but I will give 2 stars. Sorry, Portishead.

This is actually a really good album. Listen to this on the background while doing house chores, felt like I am cleaning up a crime scene. I will listen to this again.

Dinosaur Jr.
3/5
Initially, I wanted to give a 2. But after relistening to the whole album, I started to get it. Some of the songs have a Nirvana vibe to me. Some of them were a bit eerie sounding. On top of that, they have some good guitar solos too. 3.0/5 stars
The Streets
3/5
an entertaining album. At this point, I learned that I actually like rap music more than I thought. I enjoyed listening to this. The accent makes it better too. 3.2/5 stars
Pixies

I can imagine myself playing an air guitar along to the Down to the Well song. The vocal attitude reminds me of Alice Cooper. 2.5/5
Blondie
3/5
Ooh I am glad this album was suggested to me. Did not listen to the whole album in one go, but I repeated parts of the album a couple of times (first halves only, last halves only). All in all, I enjoyed the album and am looking forward to explore the band in the future. 3.8/5

I grew up listening to most of the songs in here. I know some of it by heart. 3.5/5

MGMT
2/5
Gave it a go the first time, not into it at all. almost gave a 1 star. But I deeply believe that my taste in music relies heavily on my mood that (sooo much that I can easily change my rate from 1 star to 5 stars without hesitation). Anyway, gave it another go yesterday, finish up the whole album, it was actually not bad. Not usually into this kind, but this got its own distinctive style. I'd rate this a 3, but since I hated it the first time, 2.4/5
Queen
4/5
I have never heard any of the songs in the album before. In some way the songs seem FRESHER as I am not really used to them. Especially the first couple of songs that does not really focused on Freddy's vocal. The guitar works are superb and I started to really appreciate Brian May's style now. 3.9/5
Alice Cooper
3/5
I like Alice Cooper's music. Though, I did not really pay attention while listening to the whole album. I know I'd like it lol. 3/5
The Charlatans

Black Sabbath

Very raw and straight forward but very exciting. Will definitely re-listen to this album. 3.6/5
The Flaming Lips
2/5
I dont usually enjoy the electro-sounding kind of music, but there is one song in particular that makes me feel sad. Almost give the same vibe as Radiohead. I dont remember which one is it but it is a song about imagining the loneliness and the feeling of loss after death. 2.4/5
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
4/5
Definitely my kind of music. I listened to the original version once. Might listen to the 2011 Remastered version next. Really enjoy the music, the atmosphere, and I am excited to dig in to the lyrics as well. 4.0/5
Simon & Garfunkel
4/5
Listening to this on the background while working (dull work). Noticed that some of the songs are actually funny and I am very excited to listen to the whole album again - while doing nothing for sure. 4.0/5
Julian Cope
3/5
Complicated music, intriguing vocal, interesting sound. Listened to this in the background. 3/5
Public Enemy
3/5
might be more enjoyable if I listen to this album while looking at the lyrics. That's what I always think when listening to hiphop/rap. Read a bit about the background. Seems like the main theme is about American politics and media.
Willie Nelson

No Action - A good intro for the album. Sets up the mood of the entire album
The Beat - Funky bass! Probably funny lyrics - didn't pay attention that much
Pump It Up - Wait a minute, this one has a pretty funky bassline too!
Little Triggers - My fav so far.
I listened to the remaining songs on the background. Did not really pay attention by I listen enough to know that I will revisit Elvis Costello again. 3.6/5

Not usually my type of music. But I actually enjoyed the album. I think I've heard Waterfalls from somewhere before. 3.4/5

Nude - Soooo goood. The kind of song that make you feel something inside, changes your mood entirely. Outstanding vocal
Weird Fishes/Arpeggi - My friend recommended this song to me before. Good music to listen to, but I dont know what this song is about.
All I Need - I used to listen to this a lot.
Faust Arp - This might be the best one so far.
I am not sure why didnt I give a lot of love for this album before. This is actually really freakin good 4.2/5

Mercury Rev

I am glad that this album was suggested to me. I never really knew Elton John's works (except the Lion King's and Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word). My wife likes it tho - after she watched Rocketman. I enjoy listening to this. Good job lol. 3/5
Fela Kuti

I did not really enjoy the first album by Fela Kuti if I remember this correctly, but I think this one is fun to hear to. I appreciate a good live performance very much. or maybe my music taste and appreciation had improved a bit. 3.2/5

Not my cup of tea. I like the ones with some rap on it but not the funky stuff. 2.2/5
Saint Etienne

I like the vibe of the album but the final couple of songs didnt really do much for me. "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" was good. 2.8/5
Japan
3/5
When I listened to the first track, my first thought was "not another funky/new wavy stuff" as this usually is not my thing. But I later on I noticed that the funkiness actually makes the songs pretty good. 3/5
Frank Sinatra
3/5
Those who know me, know for sure that this will go high in my list. Enjoyed the album and might revisit this later. 3.5/5
Fleetwood Mac
4/5

Foo Fighters
4/5
Read the description before listening to the album.
"...recorded the album just for fun, describing it as a cathartic experience to recover from the suicide of Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain."
Almost could not believe that the whole album was written and performed by one person. A very strong debut album for Dave Grohl as a front man and proved his potential from the very beginning. Most definitely going to re-visit the album later. 3.9/5
The Mamas & The Papas
3/5
I only knew one song, California dreaming, and I was extra excited when that song came up lol. Was listening to the album during a long drive, I got sleepy after a series of songs that I dont know. Almost all of the albums listed here, I listened to in the background. I would like to pay more attention when listening to them somehow. 3.5/5
Buena Vista Social Club
4/5
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Great for BGM while I was doing some work. will revisit for sure 4/5
