Killing Joke by Killing Joke

Maybe I am just not in the mood for this kind of genre, maybe I am not into the music. Cant say that I enjoyed listening to the album. Will I listen to this album again? I dont think so. unless, if there's something that direct me this way again, some discoveries, some suggestions, I might. 2.1/3

Revolver by Beatles
Dec 20 2022

Only finished listening to the whole album once. I like the album cover especially with the animation. I might write something to sound smart so by writing that sentence, I am more comfortable to be honest with myself. I only knew Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine, so those ones were what I enjoy most about the album. And I think I started to appreciate the Eleanor Rigby song more now. Love You Too and one other song (I dont remember which one) caught my ear and I enjoyed them too. But, I havent really remember most of the songs in the album. And like I said, I only listened it once. That being said, for the sake of this being the first album, and because I dont like to be seen as "not having a good taste" to not like The Beatles, I will give it a 3/5 stars.

Dec 21 2022

Enjoyed listening to the album. Will come back to this later

Femi Kuti by Femi Kuti
Dec 22 2022

Not really my type of music, I guess. Some of the sax parts are fun to listen to, though, I am pretty sure I will not pick this up again.

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Dec 23 2022

Never heard of this artist before. I enjoyed the album nevertheless

Clube Da Esquina by Milton Nascimento
Dec 27 2022

ayy this is actually pretty good. Though I dont really understand what the songs are about, one song in particular made feel kinda sad.

Kilimanjaro by The Teardrop Explodes
Dec 28 2022

Never heard of the band before. I usually enjoy listening to something I already know and can sing along to, but this one have a certain vibe that attract me to it. Loves the drums sound. The vocal is pretty cool too. Will re-listen to this.

Third by Portishead
Dec 30 2022

Played this one on the background while I was working. Did not really pay attention to the music. Feels a bit unfair but I will give 2 stars. Sorry, Portishead.

Pink Flag by Wire
Jan 04 2023

Fun music to listen too. Younger me might like this. 3.0/5

Jan 06 2023

This is actually a really good album. Listen to this on the background while doing house chores, felt like I am cleaning up a crime scene. I will listen to this again.

Headquarters by The Monkees
Jan 11 2023

this is actually pretty good. 3.5 stars

You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr.
Jan 12 2023

Initially, I wanted to give a 2. But after relistening to the whole album, I started to get it. Some of the songs have a Nirvana vibe to me. Some of them were a bit eerie sounding. On top of that, they have some good guitar solos too. 3.0/5 stars

Jan 13 2023

an entertaining album. At this point, I learned that I actually like rap music more than I thought. I enjoyed listening to this. The accent makes it better too. 3.2/5 stars

Bossanova by Pixies
Jan 16 2023

I can imagine myself playing an air guitar along to the Down to the Well song. The vocal attitude reminds me of Alice Cooper. 2.5/5

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jan 17 2023

Ooh I am glad this album was suggested to me. Did not listen to the whole album in one go, but I repeated parts of the album a couple of times (first halves only, last halves only). All in all, I enjoyed the album and am looking forward to explore the band in the future. 3.8/5

Killing Joke by Killing Joke
Jan 19 2023

Maybe I am just not in the mood for this kind of genre, maybe I am not into the music. Cant say that I enjoyed listening to the album. Will I listen to this album again? I dont think so. unless, if there's something that direct me this way again, some discoveries, some suggestions, I might. 2.1/3

Jan 20 2023

Gave it a go the first time, not into it at all. almost gave a 1 star. But I deeply believe that my taste in music relies heavily on my mood that (sooo much that I can easily change my rate from 1 star to 5 stars without hesitation). Anyway, gave it another go yesterday, finish up the whole album, it was actually not bad. Not usually into this kind, but this got its own distinctive style. I'd rate this a 3, but since I hated it the first time, 2.4/5

Queen II by Queen
Jan 23 2023

I have never heard any of the songs in the album before. In some way the songs seem FRESHER as I am not really used to them. Especially the first couple of songs that does not really focused on Freddy's vocal. The guitar works are superb and I started to really appreciate Brian May's style now. 3.9/5

School's Out by Alice Cooper
Jan 24 2023

I like Alice Cooper's music. Though, I did not really pay attention while listening to the whole album. I know I'd like it lol. 3/5

Tellin’ Stories by The Charlatans
Jan 25 2023

Nothing much to say. It's okay, i guess. 2.5/5

Third/Sister Lovers by Big Star
Jan 26 2023

Never heard of this band before but I can imagine that I will definitely enjoy the music especially when I listen to them live. I think. 3.0/5

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jan 27 2023

Very raw and straight forward but very exciting. Will definitely re-listen to this album. 3.6/5

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Jan 30 2023

I dont usually enjoy the electro-sounding kind of music, but there is one song in particular that makes me feel sad. Almost give the same vibe as Radiohead. I dont remember which one is it but it is a song about imagining the loneliness and the feeling of loss after death. 2.4/5

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Jan 31 2023

Definitely my kind of music. I listened to the original version once. Might listen to the 2011 Remastered version next. Really enjoy the music, the atmosphere, and I am excited to dig in to the lyrics as well. 4.0/5

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Feb 01 2023

Listening to this on the background while working (dull work). Noticed that some of the songs are actually funny and I am very excited to listen to the whole album again - while doing nothing for sure. 4.0/5

Peggy Suicide by Julian Cope
Feb 02 2023

Complicated music, intriguing vocal, interesting sound. Listened to this in the background. 3/5

Feb 06 2023

might be more enjoyable if I listen to this album while looking at the lyrics. That's what I always think when listening to hiphop/rap. Read a bit about the background. Seems like the main theme is about American politics and media.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Feb 09 2023

Ooooh this is goooood. 3.8/5

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Feb 14 2023

Heard of Talking Heads before, but never listened to any of their songs. Interesting music. Might listen more. 3/5

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Feb 15 2023

No Action - A good intro for the album. Sets up the mood of the entire album The Beat - Funky bass! Probably funny lyrics - didn't pay attention that much Pump It Up - Wait a minute, this one has a pretty funky bassline too! Little Triggers - My fav so far. I listened to the remaining songs on the background. Did not really pay attention by I listen enough to know that I will revisit Elvis Costello again. 3.6/5

Idlewild by Everything But The Girl
Feb 16 2023
Crazysexycool by TLC
Feb 17 2023

Not usually my type of music. But I actually enjoyed the album. I think I've heard Waterfalls from somewhere before. 3.4/5

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Feb 20 2023

Nude - Soooo goood. The kind of song that make you feel something inside, changes your mood entirely. Outstanding vocal Weird Fishes/Arpeggi - My friend recommended this song to me before. Good music to listen to, but I dont know what this song is about. All I Need - I used to listen to this a lot. Faust Arp - This might be the best one so far. I am not sure why didnt I give a lot of love for this album before. This is actually really freakin good 4.2/5

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Feb 21 2023

listened to this after I was just finish listening to In Rainbows. I was still impressed with In Rainbows. I enjoyed this one too but to be honest, I cant recall any of the songs the next day. 2.6/5

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Feb 22 2023

I remember that I enjoy the music. I replay the album a couple of times but nothing really sticks. I dont know. Maybe because I just play them on the background. 2.5/5

Tical by Method Man
Feb 24 2023

i hate Release Yo' Delf. the other songs are okay

The Score by Fugees
Feb 27 2023

This is reaaally really goood. Maaan I'm impressed. I am excited to listen to more of the Fugees. Easy 4.5/5

Jun 05 2023

I am glad that this album was suggested to me. I never really knew Elton John's works (except the Lion King's and Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word). My wife likes it tho - after she watched Rocketman. I enjoy listening to this. Good job lol. 3/5

Live! by Fela Kuti
Jun 06 2023

I did not really enjoy the first album by Fela Kuti if I remember this correctly, but I think this one is fun to hear to. I appreciate a good live performance very much. or maybe my music taste and appreciation had improved a bit. 3.2/5

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Jun 13 2023

Not my cup of tea. I like the ones with some rap on it but not the funky stuff. 2.2/5

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Jun 15 2023

I like the vibe of the album but the final couple of songs didnt really do much for me. "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" was good. 2.8/5

Quiet Life by Japan
Jun 16 2023

When I listened to the first track, my first thought was "not another funky/new wavy stuff" as this usually is not my thing. But I later on I noticed that the funkiness actually makes the songs pretty good. 3/5

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Jun 19 2023

Those who know me, know for sure that this will go high in my list. Enjoyed the album and might revisit this later. 3.5/5

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jun 20 2023

Biased, i know. But i think a lot of people would agree with me. this is a very good album. 4/5

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Jun 22 2023

Read the description before listening to the album. "...recorded the album just for fun, describing it as a cathartic experience to recover from the suicide of Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain." Almost could not believe that the whole album was written and performed by one person. A very strong debut album for Dave Grohl as a front man and proved his potential from the very beginning. Most definitely going to re-visit the album later. 3.9/5

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Jun 27 2023

Im not a big Oasis fan. I like some of their songs, but in general, I didnt think that they are crazy good. Maybe I just didnt give them much attention before. This album changes things a bit. Maybe it just make more sense to listen to their songs with the whole album. It sounds very warm(?) like listening to an old school radio - in a good way. I enjoyed it. 4/5

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Jul 03 2023

I only knew one song, California dreaming, and I was extra excited when that song came up lol. Was listening to the album during a long drive, I got sleepy after a series of songs that I dont know. Almost all of the albums listed here, I listened to in the background. I would like to pay more attention when listening to them somehow. 3.5/5

Buena Vista Social Club by Buena Vista Social Club
Jul 04 2023

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Great for BGM while I was doing some work. will revisit for sure 4/5

B-52's by The B-52's
Jul 13 2026

I like how raw the recordings sound. But overall not really my cup of tea.. I think. Lennon liked it, makes me question my music taste a bit. But I did not enjoy it as much. thats okay. Rock Lobster caught my interest. Maybe I will give it another listen. Maybe not. 3/5

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Jul 14 2026

Wow!! I didnt expect it to be this good. I mean, that was a dumb thing to say, but I thought I wont like it this much. lol. I dont listen to a lot of Hendrix. My knowledge is limited to the National Anthem, Purple Haze, and that other song written by Dylan. So, I always thought that I need to appreciate (only) the guitar part. And what do I know about that, you know. I am on my second listening now, and I have some favorites. His vocal is underrated! At least in this small world I live in. Up From the Skies is definitely my favorite one so far

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
Jul 17 2026

I enjoyed the music. I think I will enjoy this more if I listen to the album properly while reading the lyrics. The singing style reminds me of Moonmen by Rick and Morty lol. 3/5
