Gothic atmospheric sound. More cold minimalist than their other post punk origins.

So unlike the beach boys, distinct sound but surfs up sounds like a lost track and happy they ended up doing it here

I probably need to come back to this. I found the lyrics and vocal delivery to be a bit grating (pleasure zone!?) but as usual there is some great production. I should dig into the influences and see if the album grows on me.

Not my jam but some bangers on here, namely Photograph. Funny how this music sounds like a precursor to modern rock bands like Staind and Shinedown.

The OGs. Turned electrical sound into catchy, danceable and hypnotic grooves. Caused synth pop and new wave. Made it cool to be in touch with technology

Shield sound is awesome, using the tremolo arm while strumming. Plus the distorted vocals and ethereal aspect of it was awesome. Felt very dreamlike
