Small bit annoying and repetitive at parts. Definitely some classic tunes and catchy songs but not as high quality or revolutionary as other projects by Damon albarn.

Androgynous was very good

Really great voice and implemented elements of soul and gospel styles, but the pop ballad structure comes through in an annoyingly potent way.

Not amazing. Wouldn’t give another listen.

Some of the writing is wild

I’m a little bored. These songs sound very familiar to all songs. If you’ve listened to songs before you get the idea. Music for movies with no poc cast members. Is sultans of swing exactly the same as go your own way by fleetwood Mac or am I insane. Their Spotify description literally says they marketed their sound to ageing baby boomers which is very accurate. They sound like they would headline an right wing rally and do a really good set but start being heavily bigoted.

This one is such a great listen just enjoyable and interesting the whole way through

The people who give this album 1 star reviews don’t understand how impressive an accomplishment it is, especially since he released it as his debut at only 18 years old. The album is unique and he sets himself out as a name in grime, with a sound and voice that can’t be replicated.

Not as good as Frank but certainly a classic, can’t go wrong with a bit of Winehouse.

I do prefer daydream nation, but I think with sonic youth you have to listen to each track a good few times to appreciate it. For my first listen, I enjoyed the album a lot, but it will take a while for me to ‘get into’ the songs

I was gonna say it’s alright because some of the instrumentation was impressive but I actively did not enjoy any moment of listening. You could tell they were in the studio like “this is mint” and it’s just pure buns. Was waiting for the album to end then all the end tracks were like 8 minutes. Made my walk to college stressful and I like a lot of high octane music but this was just stressful in an annoying way.

Wow they were just like yeah this is a country album but let’s just sprinkle in some inexplicably hard moments throughout without straying from what the album is. Wow

I can imagine listening to this back in the day and having my mind blown, kinda like that tweet about Sabrina carpenter, men used to see one woman this beautiful in their lifetime and carpet bomb each other in her name, now you see 20 step sisters stuck in dryers before breakfast.

Loved this funky as hell great for gym cuz so fun wow

I love nick cave and the bad seeds but this was a tired ass album if you ask me. Felt like he was trying to do a black star but didn’t have the conviction. Every track felt sick of itself at some point

It’s abbey road isn’t it. If it was a different bad album you could say ‘well it’s not abbey road is it’ but this one is abbey road isn’t it.

This was absolutely bananas

Really like the Korea town oddity, needs another listen though
