1001 Albums Summary

It has its moments where I really like the vibes and experimentation in sound. Highlight is the Rolling People for sure, really like that track. What takes this album down notches is these guys have NO clue when to end a song. They ALL drag for so much longer than necessary. Really would enjoy it more if it was tightened up but alas, it’s not.

Grew up with this album playing fairly regularly in car drives with my dad in his Corvette, so I already knew what a classic this is. But I will say as an adult and being high while listening to it? Pretty fucking good vibes all around. The singles alone make this a 4 star for me which is what it stays as overall anyway. Greatly enjoyed as I knew I would!

R.E.M was never my thing outside of the most popular songs (Orange Crush included which is on this album and it’s a great song). I don’t particularly care for the sound or vocals much, so this is miss in my personal opinion.

Always love a good jazz album and this one is GREAT. The cover initially sold me and then the title of the album but once you’re into it? Was a blast to listen to while oddly playing Baldur’s Gate 3 with what I was doing in game.

I’ve listened to Wish You Were Here many times and I always forget just how great of an album it is. Welcome to the Machine in particular is such a hauntingly beautiful song. If the Wall didn’t exist, it’d be my favorite Pink Floyd album.

I don’t know if it’s controversial to say but while To Pimp A Butterfly is KDot’s quality wise best, this is my personal favorite of his. A GREAT bridge between Section .80 Kendrick and what we now have as Kendrick. I could listen to this album everyday and not get tired of it.

I don’t know what to really think about this. It’s an experimental instrumental album that’s horny as fuck. Meh is about all I have to say.

This was such a surprise. I knew the name but never checked out the music outside of what I eventually realized was Simz with Venom. I love this album. Great flow, crisp production, just a fantastic album. Added toy playlist!
