Kid A by Radiohead
Oct 23 2023

It’s always a good day when I get to listen to Kid A. I'm noticing how lush the synth pad is on the last 1.5 mins of "Kid A". The drum sound on "The National Anthem" has bugged me for some time. Their lo-fi crunch feels out of place in the mix. I love everything else about this song.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Oct 24 2023

Fairly underwhelming. Flat performances and songs, and it's not really enhanced by the straightforward production, albeit professional.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Oct 25 2023

there's definitely some hooks on this, although not a whole lot of substance. Some tracks were so generic and familiar I just skipped them. I kind of doubt I'd want to re-listen to anything. Maybe just "The Only One", which sounds unlike anything I've heard from them.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Oct 26 2023

Tending to gravitate to the second album. Favorite tracks: "The Lyre of Orpheus", "Breathless", "Supernaturally", "O Children". "Babe, You Turn Me On" does feel redundant and lesser following "Breathless". From the first: "Cannibal's Hymn" I'll almost definitely be coming back to this one, my vote may go up with more listens.

Blackstar by David Bowie
Oct 27 2023

Such an interesting creative culmination of everything he's done. I selfishly wish there was more to listen to.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Nov 06 2023
Underwater Moonlight by The Soft Boys
Nov 08 2023

Some pretty amazing psych pop songs on here. It's easy to hear the influence this album must of had on underground music. I think the production is the most lacking element, due to the age and budget. Would love to hear a new mix of this. May bump the score with more listens

Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
Nov 10 2023

Favorite tracks: Kevin Carter, Removables, Further Away Ultimately, maybe not my thing

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Nov 13 2023
Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Nov 14 2023
For Your Pleasure by Roxy Music
Nov 15 2023

I prefer the first album, but this one probably deserves more listens

Sea Change by Beck
Nov 28 2023

Very good. the melodrama in the lyrics and tone work for me. Just too long

McCartney by Paul McCartney
Nov 29 2023

Some great songs, some not so much. Feels like an experiment

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Nov 30 2023
Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Dec 08 2023

Perfectly listenable, although I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to it

C'est Chic by CHIC
Dec 11 2023

Essential dance music. Unexpectedly love "Sometimes You Win". "At Last I'm Free" is the only one that seems to hang around longer than welcome.

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Dec 14 2023

The singles really carry this album "you see me crying" starts out as a solid ballad that took me by surprise. unfortunately, goes full cheese half way through. most of the ideas are just reassemblings of existing works from better bands.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Dec 21 2023
Dear Science by TV On The Radio
Jan 11 2024

As much as I want to love this, there's not enough variation to keep me invested. Will listen more

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Jan 18 2024

missy elliott and timbaland is a great combination

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jan 23 2024

an album of singles meant for 45s. too hard to get through in any one sitting

Roxy Music by Roxy Music
Jan 24 2024

I like this album.

Reign In Blood by Slayer
Jan 25 2024

seems good, maybe not my favorite kind of metal? will listen more

Jan 26 2024

"chips on my shoulder" absolutely rips. can't help but love "tainted love". and "sex dwarf", what else can you say? just a stunning pop record. it's a shame "memorabilia" didn't make the album

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Jan 29 2024

Elvis Costello is objectively cooler than either you or I.

The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Mar 19 2024
