Very unpolished album. You can definitely tell it's a first album. Never been a fan of FF and if this had been the sound he would have stayed with, I would have never listened to any others from him. I would not recommend this album but maybe some of his other, more polished albums. 2/5 stars
Very laid back album that gets a little more funky as the album moves along. This is very much a on in the background type album, not anything that I would put on headphones and give 100% of my time to.
Good album. I don't listen to Ray Charles too much so I'm glad I got this album. I'm not likely to revisit this album but I'm still glad I heard it.
Talking Head was at their peak when I was young and I never understood their music. Now, that I'm older, I realize that it wasn't that I didn't understand it, it was that I didn't and don't like it. I didn't like any of the songs on this album. Now, I did like parts of a few songs. Which is the only reason it's not a one out of five stars.
Too repetitive for me. 3-4 minute songs filled with 2 second loops of sample beats. This is definitely not for me. If it wasn't for the song All My Friends, I would have given it a one star rating. Even that song has the same 2 second loop through out the whole song.
I could not finish this album. I wasn't for me. Repetitive trumpet music is not my style.
I grew up hearing that Janis Joplin was one of a kind, amazing, the blueist white girl ever, etc... I was excited when I seen this album come up on my list. I did recognize a few of these songs and got to hear a few that I didn't know. Some songs were great and some were not. Some songs, she showed that she was a bluey singer with a good voice but mostly not. I wouldn't forward through her song if it popped up on a playlist (unless it was the Mercedes Benz song) but I won't be seeking anything out, either. I'd do 2.5 stars if it was allowed because it's an average album.
The Roots are a great band. I really like this album. It reminds you that it's hard to put them into a certain genre of music. Some of the songs are definitely going on to my daily playlist.
Very boring album. I don't even think I finished it.
This is a good album. All the songs are pretty much about being in love. But, that was the way music was back then.
This album is totally different that music that I listen to, but this is the whole idea of this app, right? There's some decent stuff on this album but, I wouldn't seek it out again, though.
Really good album. I knew every song, I just didn't know that they were the ones that sang them. I would definitely listen to it again.
Great album. This is the first album given to me on this app that I would really listen to again. But, it is The Beatles so it's not a hard decision.
I've never been a big fan of Grateful Dead but this album was better than I thought. The vocals were a bit more pitchy than I would have thought but the music itself was pretty good. I wouldn't skip a GD song but I wouldn't listen to a full album either. I guess, I'm not a Dead Head.
Great album but very hard to listen to Robert Smith's vocals for a long period of time. His voice is too high pinch for me. The song The Figure Head is great.
This is an amazing album. Every song is great. Her vocal range is put on display. I'm glad I was reminded of this album. I should revisit it more often
Easily five star album. Even the "deep cuts" are popular. Everyone had this album or at least heard it. Pretty Young Things hits a little differently now but it's still filled with bangers.
Lenny hadn't grown into his voice or writing abilities yet on this album. He has never been a favorite of mine and this album confirms why. I'm glad he's matured since this album because this one isn't that good.
Nope. I do not like live albums. This is a good reason why. Every song that I mustered the energy to listen to was not good. The first song is almost twice as long live then the studio version. Very
Jam band vibes. Definitely would not be listening to again.
This is a very pop sounding album. I've never really listen to The Who but I always thought that they were more rock. Either way, this is a good set of songs. I wouldn't turn it off if these songs popped up on a playlist.
Great album. There's songs on this that I totally forgot about. I'll add some to my playlist.
This is a lot more poppy than I thought it would be. Some of the vocals were pitchy but it's still a good album.
I've always heard that this was the best BB album. If you listen to just one album, listen to this one. Ok? It starts off with a very familiar song and for me drops off immediately . It's a good album but very lack luster for me. The number of members in this band doesn't match the amount of music on these songs. They should sound way more bold and filling for the number of members.
This is a good album. The recording or mix sounds bad. There are times that it sounds like the audio is wavy. That threw me off of the whole album.
Foreign language music isn't for me but this one had some good music. I wouldn't listen to it again but it wasn't too bad.
Very middle of the road album. Some good songs, some boring songs. If I could do half stars, it would be a 2.5 stars.
This album is about half good and half not so good. The songs are either slow and boring or upbeat and well put together.
I guess Iggy is more "Rock n Roll" in personality and not really music wise. It's a decent album but was hoping for more of a kick.
This is a surprisingly good album. A Country album from 1974? It has to be whiney and your typical "crying in your beer" song. Nope, there are songs with a Pink Floyd and/or Eagle feel. Some with a Roy Orbison feel. I really liked it.
Great album. Great bluesy feel to this while record. Rip This Joint is probably my favorite song.
David's vocals hurts my rating on this album. The music is ok to good, depending on the song but his voice is horrible. I've never liked him or his vocals. There are some really good songs on here and then there's Ice Cream Man. I'm ok that I listened to this album but I'm not in a hurry to do it again, anytime soon
I tried, I really did but I couldn't get through this album. Absolutely horrible.
The album wasn't available to listen to so I don't really have a rating.
Great album.
I got this record for Christmas as I kid when it was first released. This is a great album and brings back a lot of memories
Definitely a great album. One or two songs miss a little for me. One song has a talking part that uses the Nword over and over. It just took me out of the album for awhile. But, overall, a very good album.
Great album. Some of these songs all still fresh and up to date. You wouldn't know that they're that old. I enjoyed this album
To me, it's just another New Wave sounding album. Nothing special. But, it still has a few decent songs on it.
Don't really have an opinion either way.
Finally, A good metal album. Not a cube star due the Dave's whiny voice and the fact that this isn't the original non remixed version.
