Live At The Witch Trials
The Fallnope
First thought is.. . man this is depressing. Picked up a bit when I got to track 3. Then back down for track 4. I wasn't as bothered by the melancholy mood of it by then. Seems the album successfully brought me around to the feelings it's invoking. After track 4, this album feels like art. Optimistic felt a little more speed, particularly the last 15 seconds. Could really rock with an albums worth of those last 15 seconds. Idioteque was fun, felt completely different from the first half of the album. Loved the instrumentation on Morning Bell but wasn't feeling the vocals. The album is definitely an experience and you can tell there was a lot of thought put into curating it. Every track is right where it supposed to be. So I commend and praise them for putting together this cohesive piece of work. But it's not an experience I would knowingly seek out. Not my vibe. Working through a second listen is harder than the first pass.
Maybe it's an important album when considering the trajectory of the band's career and sound. But I don't think I needed to hear it before I died.
Well that was a damn good time.
I can't vibe to these guys. California Dreamin' is cool though.
Finally a good surprise on here. I've never heard of Joan but I enjoyed this album. Love and Affection is a song I've heard covered by other artist but never knew she wrote it.
Not my jam but I didn't hate it.
Way too off-kilter for my taste.
I've never heard of this artist before but I enjoyed it. Don't think it was life changing but I'm glad I was introduced to him. Got some cinematic vibes to.
The Hits (Shout, EWTRTW, and Head Over Heels) are amazing but the other tracks are mid at best (for me). So we've got some amazing tracks but not an album I'd willingly sit through completely.
Still waiting for that entry point into these guys. I wouldn't willing sit through that album again. Only saving grace was the songs were short.
Love Eminem but this album is rough to sit through.
It was a pleasant enough listen. Recognized a few songs but there wasn't one that was particularly moving in any kind of way
Started out so strong. But then her voice became a little grating by the end. First 3 songs are bangers though.
No!
The Hits are timeless. The stuff in between is mid at best (for me).
Easy enough listen.
Didnβt like them back then and donβt like them now.
It's. . . .fine.
I love the lead singers voice and the harmonies but hit the wall hard and couldn't listen to another second before the end of the album. So . . . . a 2? a 3?
Perfect album to work to.
nope
Nah . . .
