Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Jan 08 2024

The first time I listened to, ‘River Man,’ I thought to myself, “there’s no was in hell Beck wasn’t influenced by this while making Sea change. Turns out beck was very much so influenced by Nick Drake. The rest of the album was very enjoyable. Every song felt like something I could’ve heard in like sons of anarchy, or something like that. Not a bad thing at all. Definitely something that can be listenened to on a nice long drive.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Jan 09 2024

Obviously, I know who AC/DC is. For me personally, night prowler is the strongest track on the album, and it’s not close. Of course, my favorite AC/DC songs are the slower moving ones like this, ride on, rock and roll ain’t noise pollution, the jack, ETC. I didn’t dislike any tracks on the record, but I come away saying to myself, “yep, that’s an AC/DC record alright!”

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Jan 10 2024

Maybe it just wasn’t for me? Once I started thinking of the old Vine, I was too distracted to care. That, and if I’m going to listen to this style of music, I’m going to just go with Childish Gambino, or Kendrick Lamar. I’m not sure if I’ve ever listened to frank ocean before today, but I probably won’t come back to it, unless made to.

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Jan 11 2024

Meh. I was more of a, “Use your Illusion” type of boy anyways. I liked the songs I knew, but nothing other than that stood out to me.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Jan 12 2024

Give me a case of PBR, and take my phone from me, cause I’m gonna call her!!

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Jan 15 2024

Meh, it was the Beatles.

Stephen Stills by Stephen Stills
Jan 19 2024

Definitely a classic. Great driving/background music.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Jan 22 2024

The album was definitely a vibe. I always seem to mistake Arcade Fire for Arctic Monkeys though. This time was no different.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Jan 23 2024

I appreciate the influence Norah jones has had on the female singer songwriters I listen to today, but it just was meh for me.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
