The Steely Dan sound kicked out some solid hits on this one. Great album, but Aja still a notch above this one for me.
Not my favourite of the Unplugged series but Lake of Fire and All Apologies have always been the standouts for me on this album.
Not the best album to listen to while indoor rowing but great music to think about summer when you're in a snowstorm
Was murdered by the Killers a few years back. Love this album. Its like the Album generator is just pulling LPs off my wall.
Strumming like Richie Havens. Not my favourite but someone who should have had many years ahead of them to grow their talent.
The Stone Roses were never on my radar. Never stood out for me before and after listening Im not sure why it made the list.
I like some Pixies stuff but this is not my fave
Whats not to love about this one? Blues, rock n roll, some of the best songs they wrote like Black Dog, When the Levee breaks, Stairway...
Way too muzak for my liking.
Well I listened to it and can move on.
The first song was actually pretty interesting. Building a mood, setting a scene for what's to come. It felt like a solid intro piece. But then the next song and the ones to come kept feeling like intros. I kept expecting something to build but it just never happened. So its a great album if you like intros but no body to any song.
I love how experimental and in your face all of his music is.
Early days sound of the Beatles was simple and uncomplicated. Easy listening
Love that this offered me something I would never have listened to. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. This on was in the plus column.
Early rock n roll is always an interesting sound when you put it in the context of the times.
Great ambient background tunes
Incredible songwriting and passion in the delivery every time.
One of a handful of greatest live recordings. Wish they had put more of it down on this pressing.
The My Generation medley is one track I pick the needle up and move back for a replay.
Ive had this on vinyl since the early 80s. Its had a lot of play over the years. Goes through all the various Beatles music styles.
Album was just ok for me. Sounded a lot like Sheryl Crow, whose music I prefer over Luncinda Williams.
Everyone of Rush's albums is an exploration of complex rhythms and experimental sounds. This one is no different and always a listening adventure
A true period piece. The sound of an era. "PLAY FREEBIRD!"
First listened to this album at a friend's house in 85. He put a set of headphones over my ears and played Any Colour you like. Been a fan ever since.
This is the second XX album to come up. I wasnt a fan of the first.
I listened to this album on Spotify. When it finished, Teardrop off Mezzanine by Massive Attack started playing. Now there a great album.
This album is the sound of REM. Some of it is a bit bland but some of the tunes are just a great mix of awesome music.
Wow. How have I never heard this. Its a flowing masterpiece taking you on a musical journey through whatever style of sound and music she felt like carving out in each piece. So friggin awesome.
The singing isnt my favourite from all his albums but the lyrics are masterful.
Clutches pearls..."Oh the language!".
Powerful lyrics and old school rap. Loved it then and now.
Waylon was a fixture at the annual fair. Saw him a few times and while not a country fan, I prefer his style of country to today's. But not my fav
Im more of a Bill Evans and Kenny Dorham style of jazz listener. Less of a fan of this style but appreciate its complexities.
Probably my favourite from Radiohead, their least pretentious.
Described as a neglected masterpiece. Not my bag.
Some days the app kicks out an album that makes me ask if this is a joke. This is one of those.
Steely Dan had such a great sound. Love this album.
Listening through this album almost made me feel like it was the early evolution of what would become grunge. Maybe thats just me.
Sure some of their hits are great but Ive never been a fan.
Love the older ZZ Top. Some great blues sounds here that arent so poppy.
A classic. Perfect Harmony.
Not a bad mix of music styles. But not my fav
So much classic music with amazing songwriting. Every tune is a gift
Still playing my parents original box set . Favourite Beatle.
Never was a fan. This just reminded me of that personal fact.
Love all their albums.
I recognize its musical importance but I just cant do that period of Miles career. Cant stand that style of jazz
Listened to this album while doing some indoor rowing. Helped me set a great time. Classis.
Not sure how I feel about it. Seems like a mashup of Smiths, Oasis grunge. Its almost like they dont even know what style of music they are which is good and bad!
Ive owned this LP for years. Masterpiece of Jazz. Flamenco sketches is probably my favourite piece of jazz. Bill Evans solo is perfection.
Love this album. Such a great period sound. Saw them live during their 50th anniversary show. What a letdown. Ian's voice was shot. Ill stick to the albums. Thanks.
Not my favourite of his, but an important piece of music history
Kind of mellow Radiohead Oasis vibes for me. Its ok.Thanks for introducing me to them!
It was a part of my youth. Appreciate its place in rock history but wasnt in my rotation.
Holds the test of time. Classic
Just raw greatness
Conveniently also celebrating its 30th anniversary. An album Ive grown up with along with Ten. Outstanding lyrics and a killer band fronted by the voice of Cornell.
Subdued punk with undertones of the Velvet Underground
From an era or more intelligent hip-hop
A great album with a big sound.
Like listening to a broadway musical. Not my thing.
Old school rap is great but this one wasnt a favourite of mine from their albums
Distinctive sound. Not the album I preferred of theirs
Never been a fan of the Kinks or this album.
