1001 Albums Summary

I'm happy there is popular modern rock music but the Foo Fighters have never been my favorite. Can't quite put my finger on why. I liked the album, particularly their softer/slower songs, but don't see myself going back to it too often. Might just have to get more used to their sound which is very distinct.

Forever a defining record of my youth. Really top heavy with the hits which remain the stars of the album, the latter half feels a bit more eccentric. Love this album and the summery feelings it evokes. Associations with hitchhiking in Maui and SUP rider playing this on the ride to the beach.

Really enjoyed this. The classics felt strongly supported by the songs I knew less well. Not too long, smooth, succinct, rambling...

I love the songs I know, liked the songs I did not. I feel like when discovering new songs I need the lyrics in front of me. Classic cover + some true classics.

Liked it but long and songs started to blend together; he's got a great voice though.

I listened to this on my morning bike ride, cloudy over the Williamsburg Bridge, and it really hit. Short and sweet and had never heard any of the songs.

Stevie Wonder has a golden voice and interesting songs. I'd never listened to this album and found some new gems on there.

This was cool — old school, punk, rough around the edges. Did not catch much of the lyrics (listened mostly in the gym) but enjoyed the music.

So good. Neil Young's voice is like a warm night underneath the stars.

Breezy album that doesn't take itself too seriously and has some songs that are easy to listen to and fun.

Music that doesn't require too much thinking — soft, easy to digest lyrics and backing. felt like i was on a cruise ship. i enjoyed.

I knew the heavier top half more than the lighter back half. Enjoyed both. Classic CD album

Love Queen but wasn't crazy about it and am disappointed in that.

Rocky and rolly

This album was special. Island vibes and steady rhythms gave way to catchy vocals.

I had no idea what to expect here, and thought it was awesome. Sounded otherworldly.

A mix of hopeful and somber, I had never listened to these guys much – but they make some smooth classic music.

Loved it -- old school punk, distinct voice. Just knew "I don't Mind" and "Autonomy."

The somber vocals laid over the haunting music made this a powerful, reflective, melancholy record.

I thought this was beautiful. It was somber and hypnotizing, with the singers bouncing off each other nicely
