White Light
Gene Clark+1 for Album cover I wouldn’t call this country. I really love this vibe. Acoustic 70’s never disappoints.

This and pure heroine are automatic 5’s. Lorde doesn’t not get enough credit for literally created the bedroom pop sound
I would sample this but wouldn’t listen. Love the vibes but ironically not vibing this
It’s 5 material but I give out 5’s lightly so it’s a 4
Right off the bat I’m adding a star to my rating just because it’s awesome. Not completely my style and doesn’t really evolve but I can see it. I’d probably add a song to a playlist but not listening to the album again
Just the female bob dylan? Music is alright but could not listen to the singing
Not for me. Don’t hate the vocals though and see the influence they brought to this genre. no hate if you like it.
This is Tony Hawk Music, which I would like when playing the game but wouldn’t listen outside playing. The only redeeming quality is the fact that I could see it used in the sync world easily. The thing for me is the album cover is so trash that I knew what to expect before listening. The melodies are so forgettable and pretty much all the same in every song. To the credit of the vocalist, I’m not sure what else you could sing over these chord progressions.
Great listen. I can see influences of Radiohead and the Beatles in this. Personally, I’m bigger fan of the soft acoustic stuff on this one. The riffs are cool but feel like Elliot’s voice shines on the softer stuff. I feel like I’d listen to this album again if I was older when released but for now I’ll probably add a song to a playlist.
Honestly this wasn’t a bad listen. It was great background music. Very tears for fears in my opinion but very unique at the same time. I’m only giving a 3 because I can’t give decimal point scores.
This was an experience. I enjoyed not knowing where the songs were going to go next. When I think 80’s I think this. Would give a 5 but it got really weird for me a times but still very enjoyable
This was a very interesting listen. I enjoyed it. And I liked the folky jazzy stuff but wasn’t vibing the latin vibes. Also I want to give it a 4 but I need to take a star off because of the album cover. If I saw this for the first time I would have never listened which is a shame
Nothing else to say. Love this album
Anything that sounds like this I’m gonna kind of enjoy because it all sounds like music that can be sampled. But other than that I didn’t enjoy this that much. I thought the vibes were kinda cool and the album cover was dope but the music never took me somewhere emotionally and the vocals never had anything that made me remember them.
This just isn’t my vibe. I respect it tho and like elements of it but overall I can’t give more than a 3
this was overall a great album. Songs like “So Real” really set the album apart. Very interesting to see how this really influenced people like Tom Yorke. I’ve heard about Jeff Buckley but never gave a listen. Extremely underrated
Brian Eno is a legend. I can see his influence on the talking heads specifically in this album. The album was a journey for sure but the ambient soft songs were my favorite on this.
Alright so I’m not a Pearl Jam fan at all. Everything feels forced. This album just isn’t my cup of tea. I gave 2 stars because I’m okay if someone likes it. The musicianship is good enough for 2 stars. If the melodies and singing was better maybe I would bring it up a star.
Interesting listen. Could see this being influences to Odd Future I really want to give it a 4 but unfortunately I won’t listen again and have to keep it at a 3
Just nothing that felt worth listening to. I can see how it may be influential but nothing interesting enough.
For me it’s not bad but at this point in time it’s not new to me. While I can respect that they were around the same timeframe I still think the Beatles and even The Beach Boys did it way better. I’m giving a 3 out of respect
This and pure heroine are automatic 5’s. Lorde doesn’t not get enough credit for literally created the bedroom pop sound
This is crazy. I couldn’t listen again but they deserve their credit.
Not for me. I know it’s in the top 100 but just don’t like it.
+1 for Album cover I wouldn’t call this country. I really love this vibe. Acoustic 70’s never disappoints.
Really like tones and maybe I’d consider it on a roadtrip. I’m dating 3.6 because it doesn’t feel 3 or 4 worthy
Classic R&B. Don’t really like her voice but can’t deny it
it’s Good, but not like exception but also I understand it more being from Jersey.
I mean it’s good when it comes to talent but I don’t like the music. I’m giving two stars out of respect
A classic. Gotta give them their credit. Vocally top notch and songwriting on this is great. Not my first go to sound wise but some songs I can see myself going back to
This album is looong but it was also like 25 years ago so I get it. Anyways I just don’t like it. The talent is there and songwriter to an extent is really good but just not something I like and will ever probably like.
L
This was okay. It’s just real basic and nothing really intrigued me
I compliment the experimental side of this but also think it’s ehh for this current timeframe. Which I’m sure at the time it was very new sounding
Not for me
All the right vibes
I would sample this but wouldn’t listen. Love the vibes but ironically not vibing this
This starts out so promising with the beginning of frustration but then the music comes in and sounds like that friend we all have that makes music but isn’t too great but people like them so it kinda gets popular. Tainted Love is the only good song and can’t even really give them credit for that.
It’s 5 material but I give out 5’s lightly so it’s a 4
Freebird gives this record 3 stars right off the bat. Classic rock isn’t my thing but I have no choice but to give it a 5. The album name alone is worth an individual star
